(Official page: here) So you've probably heard me talk about this game on occasion! Based off my webcomic of the same name, Aiiro No Kunoichi - The Game! is a platformer meant to mimic the style of early handheld games, with 8-bit music and 4-color graphics. It includes simple controls, somewhat stinted dialogue, and is basically meant to look like it walked out of the 90s. Anyway, as for the reason I'm creating this thread, the game is (finally!) extremely close to being ready for an alpha release, and I'm in need of beta testers! So if you're interested in beta testing the game, just lemme know and I'll add you to the list. :3 The game should run on most Windows computers, and I think I can also make a Windows 8 version? I dunno if it would be a separate version, Windows 8 confuses me? But yeah. Unfortunately, I cannot currently make a Mac version because I don't have infinite dollars to throw at the Apple Developer fee, but that's definitely a thing I plan to do eventually. WHOO YAY YES I—wait, no macs is a problem I would have enjoyed exploring the program.Sadly, I do not have access to a PC. Let me know when a Mac version is ready, though. ;w;

I'll help test. ^^
For the mac people, is it possible to play it in a virtual Windows or something?
Also, can it be played on Linux? Cause if so, I can test that as well.

It can be run under Boot Camp, and there are a number of virtualization options out there, though they're bound to be very laggy. XD; I can also theoretically port to Ubuntu (one of the options GM:Studio supports now), but that would cost money too, and I don't know how much demand for it there would be. XD; But I might look into it at some point. And everyone's been added to the list, thanks. :3

Basically, the reason why the old Virtual PC was so slow is pretty much the same as why you couldn't run Windows directly on Mac before: instead of having to translate the code and emulate an entire different processor, it just uses the built-in one. It's still not as fast as running Windows directly, but as long as you're not running anything hueg, I wouldn't be too worried. Wine might work, but you have to know exactly how to configure it for particular software. It would also increase the chance of bugs that aren't part of the original coding, and thus can't really be fixed (or maybe shouldn't). I could still look into it, though.

Aaannnddd it's out! I'll be sending you all a PM with the download link shortly. Before you report them, here's a list of known glitches that I intend to fix at some point (though some of them are being harder to fix than others >_>): -Doesn't do walk animation if button is pressed at certain times -Sometimes goes into the wrong frames when being hurt -Lots of collision glitches, occasionally the player/enemies will get stuck in walls or sink into the floor -Sanori may jump position when turning at a certain proximity from a platform -Spawners in level 1-2 may not be working correctly Things to improve: -Probably a better death animation for the boss -Smooth out Sanori's victory animation a bit -Improve mob pathfinding, give dogs and Akumu thugs ability to jump -Add new sound effect for breaking crates -Probably add options to turn off the sound and/or music? -Also should probably mention what the esc button does in the tutorial at some point, not sure where to add it though And of course I'd like opinions in general. XD; Is it too hard? Too easy? Too annoying that it only plays one song through the whole first area? Feedback is greatly appreciated. <3
