XD Yeah if there was ever a rewriting process this would be a chapter that would get kamikazed. >__> As is none of us are very satisfied and spent days trying to make it at least readable cos none of us had time to completely redo it in a reasonable time frame. XD; We promise chapter six (and beyond) are more plot-like... and chapter six should hopefully be up tonight. ^^ |

Hooray for nerd-dom! *High fives!* ...But yeah, while I do like the subject of genetics or science in magical worlds, I could agree that it was info-dumpy for a story, for which I apologize to those it bothered. We really wanted to re-write the scene, but had trouble finding a way to make it work, which is why it was delayed. |

I thought the genetics thing was really interesting, too, actually! ^^ I'd been curious about how that worked in this world. And putting it in the context of characters' families instead of just infodumping it all via a Prof. Munroe lecture was pretty cool.
(In spite of the seriousness and stuff, I couldn't help but burst out laughing upon reading that my parents are an oracle and a psychic. XDDD Ha, I can kind of see that, actually.)
...Also, chapter six, man. Feels overload.

Add me to the list of people who were interested in the magic genetics. ^^ It was an infodump but it was nice to get a little insight into how the world works and the magic system. I always like that. As for chapter 6 that was...um...interesting. What is the deal with Leanne's repressed memories? I know we'll find out but it's driving me nuts. Bet her mother possessed her before Riley. And speaking of Riley, I can't help but feel there was a reason she saved the best for last. She knows... |

Aaaand enter both pain and time magic! Also I'm gonna predict that Kristy is/was some sort of mind and/or pain magician who experimented with her magic on animals and went crazy from the power. Alternatively, I have a crazy not-really-a-prediction-but-still- what- if that Kristy is both a soul mage and a shapeshifter, and she used the latter power to make a disguise and go into hiding after whatever happened to Leanne's father and Carrie Riley is her disguise  *Darth Vader voice* "No Leanne, I am your mother" |
