Thanks for the heads up! I had a couple of stocks left over from forever ago, and TAG was one of them. I just sold 2k shares and made a really nice profit!

Ginz ❤: No problem~ TAG still seems to be going up a bit. Currently sitting at 60. I have 4k, and I'm going to try holding out until 65-70. Edit: Finally caught SWNC at 60.

And keep an eye of FISH, it's at 58. I only have 3k shares of that so it won't be as impressive as CHIA, but NP is NP.

And there's still FISH. Actually it went above 60 a few times but I wasn't on at that time.

PEOP @ 66 It has been a bit unstable recently, so it's very possible that it could drop again in an hour or two.

You know, I've been waiting for HELT for quite some time now. I think my last post about that particular company was probably a couple of years ago.

Time for some free unsolicited advice!
So this is something that occurred to me a while back. My selling threshold is 60 NP/share, and you would think that selling below your threshold will, obviously, get you less money. But I realized that isn't always the case.
As an example, say you have 10,000 shares of CYBU. Say the stock value is currently at 55, and either you missed it hitting 60 or it never got to 60 at all, and it looks like it's on its way back down. You can either sell now, or let it go and wait for the price to spike again. If you sell now, you get 550,000 NP.
But instead, say you wait, and 2 years later the price goes up again and this time you manage to catch it when it hits 60. You get 600,000 NP, so your patience earned you an additional 50k.
BUT.
If you're anything like me, that 550k would have gone straight into the bank, where it would have earned interest. Say your interest rate is 12.5%, then using the formula for continuous compound interest (Yes, I know the National Neopian gives you daily interest instead of continuous, but the difference is miniscule - about 22.5 NP of total interest over one year for every million NP you have in the bank, and the formula for continuous interest is a lot easier to play with), in two years that 550k would be worth: 550000*e0.125*2=706,214 NP
So by selling 2 years earlier but at a lower price, you end up getting more than 100k NP more than had you sold 2 years later but at a higher price. Even if you have to wait 1 year instead of 2, you still get about 23k NP more by selling earlier.
Of course you can play around with this based on your own interest rate and your own assumptions about how often, on average, a stock will hit your sell threshhold. I'm just pointing out that, in some cases, it may be smarter to settle for a lower price rather than hold out for a higher one.
(This same logic also applies to items, by the way. For example, if you've got an item worth 10Mil and you think it will be worth 11Mil in a year, then at 12.5% interest you're still better off selling it now.)

EDIT: And with all that being said, CHIA is currently at 59 and TAG at 57.
