I think I'll breathe every day in November.
...I like to set the bar low.

Gelquie, if you want to do NaNo in the summer, there's now Camp NaNo, which runs in April and July. Same 50,000 word goal in one month: campnanowrimo.org/ I'm not sure if it has word-count widgets the way the main NaNo does, but I think most people on the forum just slap the wordcount into their username, anyway =P (or you could use something like these counters) Oh yeah, I guess there's that. I've heard of it, but never looked that much into it. April is also a terrible month though, as in semester-separated education, it's still the month before exams and therefore heavy on work. July might be a nice one though.

I recall Camp NaNo used to be in July and August, which made a little more sense...guess they wanted a bigger gap.

Yeah, I guess people could be ambitious enough to want to write two novels, or do a longer continuation of their novel. But a gap makes sense, I suppose. Although isn't April supposed to be the month of Script Frenzy...? *Looks it up.* What? They announced that Script Frenzy would stop?

According to the Wikipedia article I read, it said they closed it due to a decline of participation and thus a decline in donations required to fund the event.

Ah, the NaNo planning. Usually mine consists of playing the indecisive Muse game.
"Muse, wanna do NaNo? Muse: "Oh, I suppose so." "Yay!!!! What should we do?" Muse: "Oh, I dunno. Remember those three ideas I gave you last winter? Or, we could do something new." "Well, make up your mind! November is coming up fast." Muse: "We'll figure it out eventually. Still plenty of time."
And then when I push her she hits me over the head and runs off to find more coffee, and we pick last minute.

Wow, I missed a lot of messages XD They cancelled Script Frenzy? 0.o Weird, did they say why? According to the Wikipedia article I read, it said they closed it due to a decline of participation and thus a decline in donations required to fund the event. Huh. Well, guess that makes sense; sucks for the people who enjoyed it, though =/ I wanna say we had a few Script Frenzy-ers here on the forum, but I'm not certain.

I guess if nothing else, a writer could take a NaNo writing month (say, April) and make it into Script Frenzy. Although yeah, I'm sure it'll be missed by those who enjoy it.
