Female celebrities, I can't really think of any.
Female characters are a different story. Off the top of my head, Abby from NCIS and Jadzea Dax from Star Trek: DS9. I guess I have a thing for attractive, intelligent scientists?

Supporting that concept, I also have a mancrush on Richard Feynman, and I'm not ashamed at all. He was well-spoken, funny, charming, surprisingly handsome, absolutely blisteringly intelligent, and remarkably insightful about...pretty much everything. A scientist, a poet, a philosopher, and the closest thing to a rock star that physics has ever had. *Nerd-swoons*

I thought it was implied that everyone here had a crush on Feynman and that no one felt it necessary to specify since it's so obvious.

Put me in the categories of 'not a lot of crushes' and 'not really drawn to appearance.' One thing that I don't think helps is I've never really been good at recognizing faces. Basically there's this condition where facial processing isn't so great that researchers think may also make it hard to judge someone as being attractive. I've recently come to think I've got the associative type (also: developmental). What that means is that I can tell faces apart, but I basically have a terrible memory for them, and which face belongs to whom. The condition is also known as 'face-blindness,' except in this case it's more like legally blind than completely blind (e.g. at least I can look in the mirror and recognize my own face).

I seem to do better with cartoony characters, which partly means I've thought more game and webcomic characters were cute than actual people (and usually with a delay). Like others, I crush based more on concepts and personality, so sometimes things like appearance and species are out the window. *coughMetaKnightcough*

Hmmm, let's see...

My first "celebrity" crush was on an animated character named Pipkin (from the film The Halloween Tree).
Then Harry Potter. I actually still have feelings for him.
David Tennant, aka the Tenth Doctor, was my first real life celebrity crush.
Then I got a crush on Schala from Chrono Trigger (first girl crush ever).
Then Xandra. You all knew that.
And I might even have a tiny crush on Erika from Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper.
The only women I've had crushes on are all fictional women, so I still identify as straight. But I won't deny that I really did love Xandra quite a bit.
