Should I bother downloading Ghoul Catchers just for the whatever prize they're gonna give out to people who linked accounts and not bother playing it?

Might be nice to have and try out before that’s no longer possible. If anything, you could just replay level one for 50k whenever you need some extra NPs. That should still work until Dec, I think. (Please correct me if I’m mistaken. ^^; ) Also, aren’t there prizes when you first start playing too?

Oh hey, Angel is now a biscuit Usul.
Kinda want to stop zapping here but the design isn't biscuit-y enough for my taste if you know what I mean. While we're on the topic of pets, seeing the designs of chocolate ones (and fanart on tumblr) is super tempting me to get a chocolate pet but I feel super bad that I can't keep up with my side accounts as they are. It's like, "Kat, if you can regularly check on your side account pets, then consider getting another."

I've been seeing a number of "Neo-sonas" on tumblr, and it got me wondering: would Twillie Blossom be considered my Neo-sona, or is that something still open for me to create? Because while she's loosely based off of me (and was originally intended to be literally me), I don't consider her a 1:1 copy of myself anymore. She's also human, and I feel like the point of a Neo-sona is to turn yourself into some kind of Neopet, rather than just a citizen of Neopia.
I dunno, random musings that got me thinking what a Neo-sona of mine would look like, haha.

If a Neo-sona is just an avatar of how you perceive yourself (how how you would like to see yourself) in the Neopets world regardless of species, than yes, Twillie Blossom could be considered your Neo-sona (if you wish her to be). If a Neo-sona must be a Neopet species (though I also imagine this extends to the other "official" inhabitants of Neopets such as Faeries, Petpets, and the many other creatures TNT created over the years) than Twillie Blossom isn't. BUT if you still see Twillie Blossom as being the closest thing you have to a Neo-sona and want to participate in any Neo-sona things all you need to do is just pick a Neopet species that you see Twillie Blossom being. For example, in my Neopian Times articles, though I don't outright say it, I see my character as being human. If I were though to pick a species my personality matches, as much as I would like to say Lupe, I'd probably be more a Lenny.

I really like these pins and even though I will be paying for shipping worth $13.99 and I'm currently unemployed, I kind of want to buy a couple for myself, including the white Weewoo. Maybe three. I'm hoping they release more pins like BD weapons, well-known characters, Altador Cup logos... ... Just sayin', I would pay good money for NQII pins. Juuuuust sayin'.

Random question:
Does anyone remember the different crew members you had to use in the Crewdoku game in the restoring krawk island event?

Far be it from me to tell someone how to spend your money, but remember one's own personal care should go above all else. But yeah, Neopets has TONS of potential for enamel pins. But question is do they have enough players to buy them? I think right now if they're going to do this they really need to hone in on the iconic symbols around the site, something any Neopet fan would want to buy (maybe even offer them in sets) before doing anything fancier. For example, as Kat mentioned, the Altador Cup logos would probably sell a good amount. They hit that good inbetween of representing Neopets (not just the Altador Cup but also the individual lands) but also just being nice designs that someone who doesn't play Neopets can look at and think look pretty. Random question: Does anyone remember the different crew members you had to use in the Crewdoku game in the restoring krawk island event? Here ya go.

Nah, you're right. They're still offering the blankets after those were released some time back so I can afford to wait till I have a job. I got used to chasing after merch that would only be available for a limited time before prices would shoot up once they were out of circulation. That's precisely why I suggested the AC logos. For example, the Meridell one would look nice and I can show it off, but only a Neopets player would know what it really is and be like YOU'RE TEAM MERIDELL, WE'RE GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT NEXT YEAR. And the Altador Cup still has enough people who care about it and who'd buy team gear.

Hello I’m thinkin about what society in altador was like when the altador cup became a big event bc like. Didn’t the citizens of altador cherish their city so much that nobody dared cause damage bc they all put their heart into building it?? So like. What I’m getting at is imagine after the first year they held the altador cup (which remember was canonically not long after the whole city got restored back into existence or whatever happened w that idk) just the absolute chaos that tourists ensued and how much nobody was expecting this and oh maaaan imagine as the years go on and the cup becomes an even more highly anticipated event and now altador has to look into building muuuuch more housing and hotels and the such just for the summer season and ok I’ll stop now

In the first case I'd imagine there wouldn't be any tourists and it would have been all home grown teams participating, it wasn't until it came back 1k years later and saw how much the lands started communicating with one another did they decide to make it into a global event. In the second case, I'd imagine for the first Altador Cup that wouldn't be the issue because it was new. There was an increase in visitors no doubt, but I imagine it would have stayed mostly tamable. It would be by the second year that things would have started getting bigger. Because there would now have been a year's time for each land's people to get to know the team & athletes thus want to show their support by going to their games, the Haunted Woods would be eager to defend their title while the other lands eager to be the next winners, and just in general be able to plan & schedule in advance that June was Altador Cup month. Luckily this would have given Altador a year to also plan in advance. While they would have been able to handle the first year they probably did see a few issues occur in small doses they knew would become bigger if they didn't resolve them by next year (filled up hotels, overpacked streets, some visitors not being respectful & rude, etc.). I can see for the athletes Altador building an "Athlete Village" for them to stay away from the crowd to rest & practice but still nearby if they want to go into the city. I also imagine a temporary expansion to the city would have been set-up just to handle the load of visitors (and likely overtime these expansions would be made into actual permanent structures, but at that time they just needed something functional). I imagine they would probably also have to get creative, like I can imagine Marak's people offering lodging space to aquatic species, Fauna and Florin helping set up camp sites in the beautiful nearby woods & forest to keep hotels & the streets from getting overloaded, and other council members working with citizens to help them rent out extra living space they may have. This all would be a great idea for a Neopian Times article!

I live for this kind of discussion. No doubt Altador would definitely want to make the most out of the AC gaining popularity across Neopia for a massive boost in tourism - and also to contain all the excitement. We already know the facilities and activities set up just for the Yooyus to get all their training in so why not go all the way and consider where the players will be staying and training, where the tourists will be chilling when they're not screaming in the Colosseum, etc. (Also btw Ashten, off topic but I do in fact play A3. Homare is my favorite.)
