So as you may have seen these past few months, Proboards is gearing up to release their new version 5 software, and we will be converting to it as soon as we get a few more bugs ironed out. Lots of new features, a little bit of an aesthetic update, and hopefully a nicer experience on the forum overall. ^_^
One of the changes we'll be making when we convert is to a new set of banners at the top of the forum, which favors wider and shorter banners. While the current set of (over 400!) banners have served us well over the past ten years, it's time for an update that will look better with the new software--and don't contain a bunch of outdated jokes. XD The entire set of old banners will be retired into Memory Lane where you can look at them whenever you please. ^^
So, this is where you guys come in! We need new banners and we'd love it if you guys could continue the tradition of brightening up our header with your creativity. =D
The requirements for banners will be a little different now, however. To honor the old set of banners, we'll be making one particular banner a more permanent part of our header: Harry the Grarrl, from our original banner. In addition to Harry, all banners must be exactly 900x175 pixels, and include Harry on the left side of the banner, as seen in these templates (which you are free to use!):

The first of those templates has a Transparent background, which will allow the gradient behind the header on v5 show through. Alternatively, if you'd rather have a solid background or you need to use a program that doesn't support transparent backgrounds, you can use the second template which has a solid white background.
The rest of the banner is up to you! Also, you can feel free to play around with the coloring of Harry or his banner if you wish, as well. Ginz made an example banner that illustrates what you can do perfectly, but if you have any questions feel free to PM me or ask here.
When you're finished, post 'em here and I'll add them to the rotating banners on the Beta forum, so we'll be ready for v5 when we upgrade. Let's get a good group of banners together, so show off your creativity!
