Because we can remotely control cars on mars, but know strikingly little about life in little pockets underground. Because there are creatures that can live exposed in outer space. Because of Ceres, Pallas, Juno and Vesta -- Planets-turned-asteroid. Because of Pluto and Eris. Because the diameter of the observable universe is growing at 25,902,028,800 kilometers per day. Because the diameter of the actual universe is growing too. Because birds aren't related to dinosaurs-- they are dinosaurs. Because so many new species are discovered so regularly. Because there might be four-quark particles. --And Higgs-Boson particles. ----Which, to my understanding, are more of a confirmation thing, but awesome nontheless. Because atoms are so small, and the universe is so big. Because I can begin all of my sentences with the word 'Because' even though it makes no sense. Because science is the most awesome thing ever. |
