This new episode. Just Torchwick is so much more...I dunno, fun, in this series? xD
I really enjoyed this episode. Food fight + general nonsense is great. xD
And to the above; Nora is pretty great. But my fave character is probs still Pyrrha. We shall see though, as the season progresses!

RWBY Volume 2! First episode anyways. yay!Thoughts, in no particular order: BEST. FOOD FIGHT. EVER. Of all time.
I liked the inclusion of the RvB "puma" reference.
Not sure what to think about Mercury, but Emerald seems interesting.
And oh man the non-combat scenes are so much more fluid than in Volume 1. I couldn't really tell in the preview clip, but Merc and Em walking down the street was much improved over RWBY walking down the street in The Stray.
I also like Sun more than I did before, not sure why, maybe because he interacted with someone other than Blake or the cops for once. I guess last Volume I was in the same place as Weiss concerning him. "I'm still not quite sure what to think about you!"
I thought the new lampposts were kind of... odd. I don't know if I'd even have thought about it if Weiss hadn't brought one of the old ones to the audience's attention while ranting at Blake in the last volume.

BaconI'm not sure what I think of Mercury OR Emerald on their own, but I like their interactions as a pair. xD
The food fight was good, but I did think it dragged on a little too long.
I didn't look at the lampposts at all, whoops. xD I did enjoy the callback to the first episode of volume one though, with the "From Dust til Dawn" guy.

So! All caught up on both RWBY and RvB. RWBY: I like the way this volume is going so far.
Three consecutive twelve-plus minute episodes in a row? I hope this is how the rest of the season goes.
"None of you said 'aye'. *sadface*"
Penny as Pinnochio confirmed! =D And wow she's strong.
Villains walking through the Beacon dorms without Ozpin noticing... interesting. Perhaps Cinder isn't the "queen" mentioned in Qrow's message last volume?
Weiss has a sister?! Will she become a major antagonist in later seasons? Why is this my first thought? Red vs Blue: I did like the reveal of what's really going on in this arc; it even caused me to retroactively like the last season more. For some reason I seem to really like things that change the context for what I've already seen; I guess that's one thing I liked about the Recollection, it changed EVERYTHING Red vs Blue already did, said, and was.
I also liked a brief little moment in episode 11: Church calls Carolina "Sis". Not when she can hear it, and not sarcastically, either. I think it shows, in a really subtle way, how their relationship has grown since the end of the Freelancer Saga; he thinks of her as his sister now, and in a way she kind of is.
Also, proposing the theory that the mysterious voice is actually the Counselor of Project Freelancer? His manner of speech reminds me of the Counselor, in any case.

hello! I really do think RWBY's gotten a lot better this season . . . ep4 was easily the best episode in the entire series. Miles still has a long way to go writing wise in this show, but he's improving his pacing on RWBY a lot.
It moved the plot forward and showed how the RWBY team actually grew as a team, without any filler. The fight scene was creative enough, especially with its use of semblances.
Honestly the only thing I really disliked was that parts of the animation were downright awful, particularly when Yang went back to the club. Jr's animation is of the quality shown in the trailers, and his model and movements really stand out as awfully clunky, especially when he was talking to Yang. It's just all liner motion.

I do agree, Moni. The show has really improved this season, I was pleasantly surprised, and now look much more forward to that than I do to RvB! EDIT: Although I'm now rewatching the Recollection, and my old love of RvB is returning. xD Also my non-Rooster Teeth watching friend informed me that, when she presses "R" on her phone, it now gives her the options of "RWBY" and "RVB", thanks to me. Hehe.

Rewatching season ten of RvB, and... Finally made the connection that the arc right after the one about remembering (Recollection), is about letting go (s9-10). Makes it so much sadder, watching the end of s10 while having FINALLY worked that out made it so much more feelsy. xD And for those of you who are wondering: yes, I am usually that slow to work things out. =P

So, I guess that's the end of RWBY They can still do it, but at the same time it was his work... So it's probably up in the air now. They can probably still do the next season since they all ready started on it I believe. But after that, no clue.

Was stunned to hear about Monty. He really was a talented motion capture animator (which is pretty rare, considering where he was, and what he was doing.) Roosterteeth was lucky to have him.
It wasn't just RWBY but also later seasons of Red vs Blue that he had done to help take Roosterteeth to a whole new level. That epic fight between Tex and the Bloodgulch boys was all him. The folks at RT seem to be moving on, but it's pretty obvious that they're all feeling the loss.
... and their statement about offering new creative ideas to the world as a testimony to Monty Oum's life is something I believe I would be willing to take part in.

Huh. For some reason I wasn't notified that this thread has updated. 0o
Burnie said Monty told them what he wanted for RWBY, like, all the time. So we don't need to worry about that. But I was shocked to hear it too. And that line about doing creative stuff just made me tear up.
I love RvB, but it made it so much harder to watch my favourite seasons. And I haven't tried watching RWBY again yet.

His own special touch, humor, etc. So they might have the story, but they'll be missing some things. I'm a bit behind in RvB honestly. But ever since Monty joined it just made it all the more awesome. It went from their pure in game video capture videos, to a whole new level. That first episode you knew they actually ANIMATED stuff was crazy, then it just took off from there XD I love the story about how they asked Monty to join them years before he joined, and he just thought they were joking with him XD Then few years later they reminded and asked him again XD Pretty much any Monty story is a awesome story XD Sleeping under the table, working on totally random projects, almost eating Michael and Lindsy's wedding cake early, and so much more XD --- In other news, I bought the RWBY blurays recently. Part of me really didn't need to, but I felt I should XD

And the one about going to get coffee in his mocap suit. But I agree, so many of those stories were so great. Hmm yeah...I think the next volume was meant to be the last in the arc anyway, so maybe they'll end RWBY after that? Yeah, season eight with the warthog and the wall. Hearing about the fan reactions to that always makes me smile. xD And then at the end of the series I rewatched the ice fight about ten times. That's one of my favourite fights to this day, probably my very favourite, except possibly for one in s12 (which I haven't watched in a while so difficult to compare). How far behind are you?

The funny thing was, once I saw how the characters were moving, and I knew Monty was involved XD I think I have the later half of season 12 left to watch. I think the last episode I watched was The Reunion.
