Weird question.... Anyone else only ever get ads in spanish on the Rooster Teeth site? >_> I just got a KFC commercial in spanish when I went to start RWBY.

Salem looks amazing, though.
(@likelife36 even if you called it you have to admit she is AMAZING, right???)
I loved all the new music.
Ruby being a maiden...I can see how that was obvious haha, and I feel her mother was named 'Summer' to throw us off the winter maiden thing!
But mostly, I'm just shaken about the Pyrrha thing. I know everyone talked about it, but I didn't think they would really kill her after Penny died so recently. ;-; |

ThornWell, it seemed kind of obvious to me then--they wouldn't waste Jen Taylor on just narration, and honestly since the villains are *`*~~~shrouded in mystery~~~*'* here, I figured they'd do a gotcha! moment with the villain (especially since the good guy who is *'*~~~shrouded in mystery~~~*'* is Ozpin and he narrates too). But yes, Salem does look cool. I like Jen Taylor's performance too and this makes up for Adam's voice.  The new music was a breath of fresh air. I like the soundtrack overall. I don't know if Ruby is a maiden per say--Qrow seems to be referencing a different fairy tale altogether, and Cinder, who is aware of the whole four maidens thing, seems to be really surprised by it. I hope she is a maiden and not something else we've never heard of up until now. (because if she's not then this is an instance of the main problem with the show--the weakest aspect of RWBY by far is the writing, more so how they just forget to set up things and provide context (show don't tell) so the show sometimes has a "stuff happens" feel to it.) This season finale feels more like the beginning to the *actual* plot of RWBY more than any sort of end, to me, though. Which is kind of weird to say, but plot-wise things are really only just getting started.

I thought Qrow was more reflecting on the fragment of truth in fairy tales- OR that, perhaps, silver eyes actually represent a winter maiden, as those glowy eyes represented Cinder being a Fall Maiden?
I hope she is a maiden. It would have been wonderfully foreshadowed. I actually think the writing is mostly pretty good (season one was a little clunky, but it only went up from there)- and that it is even now continuing to improve, just as RvB has been. If I had to pick the biggest weakness of RWBY...eh, I dunno. I'd probably have to rewatch to work that one out, can't I just say the writing specifically in season one? xD |

So it looks like Rooster Teeth is doing two new animations. RWBY Chibi, which looks like it could be a cute random sort of series. So that could be fun. And Camp Camp, some sort of weird camp with an assortment of random kids.

The first episode of RWBY Chibi came out today. right hereIt's pretty fun XD Short little random clips, sort of reminding me of something like Azumanga Daioh. And you don't really need to know to much about RWBY to watch XD |

If you have an account, you can watch the eps a week earlier! :-) I finally made an account just for this purpose, haha. I found RWBY chibi and the new RvB both...okay. Not amazing but definitely still good, and the former was amusing. xD So glad to see the return of Ninjas of Love! |

My friend bought a few random R.T. shirts and, since she ended up with two of the "future cubes" shirts, she gave me one for free! I love it so much. <3 Amazing shirt, didn't think orange was my colour but I think this looks alright on me. Also, finally starting to catch up on RvB fourteen... (minor spoilers for 'Club') Locus is named like my (RL) name! =O
Admittedly it's a common name, which can be short for about a billion other names, but still.
And I really, really adore the concept of that episode. I've...actually only read the transcript, but plan on watching both that and 'Call' when the latter comes out tomorrow for non-sponsors. xD |

This new episode was EVERYTHING I WANTED. I think I managed to get most of the OMG out of my system by discussing it with friends, so have some actually sensible comments below (and, obviously, spoilers for s4 e1): Who is Farm Boy??? I'm on the Spring Maiden bandwagon myself, but I see Reincarnated Ozpin is another theory (which I'm less drawn to).
I am still just as much in love with Salem as ever. <3 Her design is so rad, and she seems like an actually good boss- reasonable authority figures are always such a nice thing to see in Bad Guys! Plus. Her voice actor is Jen Taylor, how much cooler can you get?!
(besides Laura Bailey's sadly short-lived stint as Amber last season, which was also awesome. She won me over with her amazing voice acting in 'Skyrim', and fully lived up to that even in her short time in RWBY!)
I was so happy to see Cinder back! I mean, apparently everyone else thought she'd be back...but I totally thought she was dead. xD I'm excited to see what they do with her, Mercury and Emerald this season! I think we've got some cool character development in store for Cinder in the near future.
(although as usual, I suspect after this opening we won't actually see her or her two lackies again for several episodes. =P).
Also myself and my brother are in agreement that a)Tyrian will be the 'disc once boss' for this season, and b) Mercury will die before Emerald, because p. sure at least one of them has to die at some point, and I feel she would be much more strongly affected by his death than vice versa (that and she's just a more interesting character overall- sorry Mercury, I love you and your robot legs but it has to be said- so I hope they keep her around for a while yet.)
I mean I have thoughts and feelings about the rest- I love Jaune's hoodie and the upgrades to his weaponry were very sweet, plus pirate kitty Blake is something I now have a mighty need for in my life- but mostly I just really, really loved the villain stuff this ep. xD |

So uhhhh anyone keeping up with RWBY? Qrow is so totally poisoned. I thought that little 'camera' shake was really neat...I think that was when Qrow got cut? Might have been when Tyrian lost part of his tail, but I think it was the former. Also I love how Tyrian's tail actually moves a lot like a real scorpion's, and his gun-blade-things are modelled after the claws of one.
Go Weiss, standing up for yourself! She was so cool this episode. <3
Looking forward to seeing more of Blake and Yang though, hopefully next week. |

So another RTX has been announced! =O I missed Aus so might try and make this one. DracoNot a lot really happened this season, but I still enjoyed it! Blake was awesome, Yang grew on me a lot (she's been my least favourite of the main girls up until now), and Ruby's speech at the end was super emotional and well done.
And Salem did not let me down, she is a wonderful creepy Voldemort lady. xD |
