Thousands of years ago, there was a young man. He loved surprises, so he came up with a clever ruse. He kept tricks up his sleeves, and candy in his pockets. His friends nicknamed him 'Trick or Treat' as they never knew what they would get that day. Unfortunately friends grew impatient of his antics, rose up against him and well... soon after they dug him a nice grave. Right here at this very spot. Some say they see his ghost from time to time, especially on Hallowe-- what's that?!"Are you willing to tempt fate?" The Ghost hisses. You see a twelve-sided die at your feet. Rolling it may reward you with abundant Halloween treasures, or may cost you everything you hold dear. Leave now while you still can, or roll... What do you decide to do?

You look about, wondering who would dig a grave here of all places. So absurd. So random. So... convenient? You shake your head, and concentrate, observing the ghost - which seems to be a floating transparent bed sheet with white buttons where it's eyes would be, and ragged sticks poked into it's fabric to form arms.
"Not much of a ghost," you mutter under your breath as you bend down to pick up the die. You turn the die in your fingers, examining it's sides. It certainly seems legitimate enough - not fixed in any way - and each number is there, one through twelve.
You are not one to gamble - you do not believe something that you always win to be a gamble. You smirk at the ghost and toss the die to the ground, rolling it along until it bumps into the gravestone before you. It falls to a halt, landing on [dice=12]seven. You glance at the number before looking back up to the ghost, wondering what you've earned.[rand=58953290292993195806070005055517005779623519629246270189550705254]

Imagine if you will a die so devious, it's name spells out "die." It is not a six sided die, and/or rather, it is. But each side contains within itself another side so dastardly that it spells out not "die," but "dead." Such is the die. Following this die are the three dice of Christmas. And/or rather, one tetrahedral dice of Christmas past, one tetrahedral ounce of Christmas present, and one tetrahedral mince of Christmas future.
But it's not Christmas. It's Halloween, and in the twilight zone.

Vader raises an eyebrow at the ghost, though of course it is hidden underneath the mask.
Why not, Vader thinks. There is little chance that the die can give Vader what they really want, but it's not like it can take away what they have, either.
Vader rolls the die.

It's best if you go away now.

You approach the Ghost in your Vader costume, and the Ghost seems pleased at first. That's a good sign, you think. You pick up the twelve-sided die and roll... It's a four. The Ghost begins to grin. The grin gets wider and wider and wider.. and then it begins to laugh! Your legs begin to shake and it creeps up into your spine, arms and hands. As the Ghost's mouth gets wider you get this feeling going to eat you! RUN! screams your brain and thankfully your shivering legs listen! You book it out of the grave, but when you look back, (why did you do that?) you see the Ghost is chasing you! You scream like a girl - not exactly flattering considering you're Vader - and the Ghost chases you for five blocks before it gives up and goes back to its grave to creep out other unsuspecting trick-or-treaters. Well, I guess you learned your lesson, huh? Don't scream like a girl.

I'm not afraid of any ghosts, especially on Halloween. Whatever you may bring, I know I can take counter it, whether it be in-character as Celestia or out of character as Celestial.
I roll the die and prepare to fight back in case the ghost suddenly gets aggressive. I already saw what it did to Vader and I do not need my dignity destroyed any more than it needed to be especially not with Celestial/Zylaa 'shipping material circulating.

You look around for the twelve-sided die to roll, but sadly it does not appear. Perhaps next year it will show up again, and you can try your luck at fate again.

The dark-blue clad necromancer waltzes up to the ghost and takes the dice in zeal.
"This sounds just like my kind of game," the necromancer commented as she rolled the dice.

As the die lands on a five, you eye the Ghost's every move. He does not appear to be making a move to attack you. Instead, he bends down to his grave and his hands go into the earth. Carefully he picks up an adorable Ghost Meepit, and hands it to you. Whether this is a trick or a treat, you do not know. You'll find out tonight.

"Good evening. I must say, you look very weightless--er, slim--today." Coaster picks up the die and rolls a The Ghost smirks at your remark, not many people give him compliments to a ghost, most are too afraid. You roll the die, and lands on a twelve. The Ghost smiles. "Perfect," he says aloud. The Fates are nice to him tonight, after all, he really likes you so it's a dream come true for him. Because... he really likes you.He floats slowly towards you. You stumble back, but you're entranced by his gaze. He smiles longingly. You realize you should run but now your feet are stuck in mud and cannot move. The Ghost takes your hand, and you realize you are sinking further into the mud. The Ghost starts to laugh. "Welcome to my home," he announces with glee before you both disappear beneath the earth. Uhh..err...ahh... does anyone around here have a shovel?

The Ghost rises above from his grave, and looks at your costume. He doesn't change color, which is grand. He watches you as you roll an eleven. He raises an eyebrow - an eyebrow that wasn't there before, you notice. But he smiles sweetly, and not in an "I'm about to drag you to my grave" type of way. Suddenly in his hands appears a bowl full of candy. Man, didn't you get lucky! He also wishes you a Happy Halloween as you trot off to more houses. May the fates continue to be kind to you!
