Anyone want to give me a quick, actually-makes-sense definition of Homestuck I can send to my friend? It's a multi-medium webcomic about a group of kids who play a video game. They are pulled into the world of the video game and soon learn that it is no mere game, it is a game where the goal is to create a new universe, but the cost was their own planet, which was all but destroyed after they entered the game. They also gain contact with the last generation of players, a group of aliens known as trolls, from the planet Alternia. The comic goes from silly comedy to horror and every genre in between, and has many parallels and references to modern society. Does that work? I know people talk about how you can't "explain" Homestuck, but on a very basic level it just takes a bit of thinking so you don't spoiler too much EDIT: ...Beaten by a possibly better and even more laconic explanation |
