*Sits on the ship again, pleased*
((Um. That depends. She can get around on opposite sided rotors. The extra four are for maneuverability and redundancy. If they're on the same side...well, you can at least soften the landing or aim for a lake? It won't keep you up though, probably...))

*Stands proudly, pacing back and forth across the guardrails giving what is obviously a well rehearsed speech* Xiphon III: The Sky Ship Aura is a unique bit of construction, courtesy of yours truly, able to keep afloat on two of her engines at the least, although she loses most of her maneuverability that the six rotor design gives her. She has a carrying capacity of up to twelve Flight-ready Ornithopters in her hold, with a hatch to allow mid flight launch and retrieval through a hook-crane. She can hold plenty more if you don't mind stacking them up a bit. She's a full hundred and twelve meters of length, with a forty meter width at midships. Coming to a forward point, she has a wider bow to facilitate a forward motion focused flight pattern. But the pride and joy is the full lounge in the bow, allowing for the comfort of guests. Especially the pretty ones. *Winks, and flies along the side of the ship with a showman's flourish. Xiphon III: So whattaya think? She ain't much in a fight, but she's a beauty, if I do say so myself. I think she's pretty awesome Jace: Just keep Scrac off the bow, she'd ruin the look. Your face Jace: You mom's face. You leave my mom out of this

*Looks at the two pokemon*
Xiphon III: You like Ornithopters? And thanks for the compliments, all. I appreciate it.
*Pats the side of the Aura lovingly*

EDIT: Quotation pileup on the Taco! *Considers the kitsune's question, dropping a little in his hover as he thinks* Xiphon III: Um. That depends. She can get around on opposite sided rotors. The extra four are for maneuverability and redundancy. If they're on the same side...well, you can at least soften the landing or aim for a lake? It won't keep you up though, probably... Piksel Zap: So you'd need a minimum of four working engines to guarantee it won't drop like a rock, then. Eddie: Be nice. ^_^;; @chives: I've heard of that, yes, why?*Looks at the two pokemon* Xiphon III: You like Ornithopters? And thanks for the compliments, all. I appreciate it. *Pats the side of the Aura lovingly* Eddie: Well, I've never seen one that actually works, but I've always found them fascinating in theory.

It'd be kind of hard to make two engines on the same side not cause problems... kind of like a one-winged angel))

*winks at the pokemon and ducks inside the hold, the ship still docked to the nearest tall building. Soon, a rumbling is heard as the hold opens and a hook lowers an ornithopter into the air, buzzing as its wings build up speed. Pulling a lever, the craft and its pilot drop like a rock before catching the air and buzzing the ground*
Xiphon III: *laughing* Like this?

I take it that this one is steam-powered as well?

((Yes, you caught my reference x3)) (( X3 I was certain it wasn't accidental. Even those of us who have little exposure to video games know Sephiroth))

*leans against it, standing on solid ground once more*
Xiphon III: Da. The biggest problem was figuring out how to stay up and still give forward motion. Finally figured out it just needed rotating-joint wings...like a bumblebee.

You know, I actually tried to make one of those once, but I couldn't get it to work. Then I tried to turn the parts into an autogyro, but that didn't work either... then I tried a gyrocopter and helicopter. The last one almost worked. >_>And by "almost worked" he means the top rotor spun around, but the stabilizer one didn't, so the whole thing just went in circles on the ground. :P

Xiphon III: Well, it was nice meeting you all, but I've gotta get out of here. Had a long trip, and I'm a bit sleepy Later!
*leaves the ornithopter on the ground and heads up to the ship with his boots, closing the hull and going to bed*
