I was looking among the many fanclubs, and I realized we didn't have one for Sherlock Holmes! Whether your a fan of the books, movies, or the TV show, this is a common place for all of us to talk! <3 (And if I accidentally skipped over another SH fanclub in existence, please feel free to delete this thread, mods! ^^") Members:Drop Echo Jo Azzie Rikku Komori Celestial Zylaa Nat Gold Tamia Ciel Usikustars Teow

<3 Yesyesyes I bloody love Sherlock Holmes, all incarnations. Well, I haven't watched most of the television adaptions. But I'm sure they're lovely. >.> Canon!Holmes and BBC Sherlock and the actiony Guy Ritchie version are all super lovely, so.

I like the movies, especially the latest one because it was shippy shiptastic. <3 The BBC series is great too, but I can only see the ones on Netflix (the first three eps).
I'm not a huge fan of the books, because Sherlock Holmes was one of those mystery stories that never really give the reader a shot at solving the case. Holmes is always using clues to solve the case that the reader is never privy to, and I much prefer fair play mysteries. So in that regard, I almost always prefer the Holmes work not written by Doyle. XDDD There's an old-time radio show about Holmes that's pretty fun (and fair play <3).

Oh yes. =D I am wholeheartedly obsessed with Sherlock at the moment, enjoyed the one original Sherlock Holmes story I read, and am probably going to watch Game of Shadows with friends tonight. XD

Oh man I am all over this club. xD Sign me up, please? I'm pretty well obsessed with the BBC show, loved the movies, and I'm reading Study in Scarlet now. All are brilliant.
...The show is probably still my favourite, though, because the writing is so beautifully, intricately layered that I would happily let myself get lost in it. <3

Yes! Why didn't someone do this sooner? I love the movies and Sherlock. They're so wonderfully written and the characters are awesome. (The shippy stuff is just a bonus.) XD
I never read the books before. My sister pretty much said what Komori said about the books, so I don't plan to anyway.

Having seen the second movie, yes, I am definitely more of a fan of Sherlock-- I didn't find the finale of the movie emotionally wrenching at all. However, I think I like Movie!Moriarty better than BBC!Moriarty. I like dangerously sane villains, and while BBC Moriarty's instability and overall flair for the dramatic is a lot of fun, he didn't impress me as much.

I prefer BBC Sherlock to the (second) movie too. Mainly because the latter has more violence and the former more wit and charm. But I agree about Moriarty. XD He was just so much creepier in the movie!

Especially because movie Moriarty looked like a crazy Conan O Brien. :B
