I had no idea what to do for this one, then I realized that Sunflower -> The Sun seemed like a logical jump. XD

I just want to say that you all look amazing.  *Is way too much of an astronomy geek.* (I was tempted to go with a nebula or star, but I do that as my regular profile anyway. So I wanted to do something different. xD ) |

I'm completely convinced now. My owner is a complete moron. T__T I kept telling her, not only am I NOT a celestial body by any stretch (except by a bad pun), but someone else is already Polaris.
...And yet she insisted I come out here anyway, claiming I was different somehow. >_< Just...WHAT.

Nebulas are so fascinating and mysterious. Though as my love for astronomy was ignited by the wonderful BBC documentary 'The Planets' (I even had my father go hunting for it on DVD and eventually import it from England) with the gas giants and their moons being one of my favourite episode of that documentary, I had to pay tribute to them. I had no idea what to do for this one, then I realized that Sunflower -> The Sun seemed like a logical jump. But I'm glad that Pluto is featured here, as I tend to ignore the demotion to dwarf planet. After all, how else will German Kids now learn the solar system's planet? With Pluto we have this lovely line: Mein Vater Erklaert Mir Jeden Sonntag Unsere Neun Planeten (Word by word translation: My Father Explains Me Every Sunday Our Nine Planets) Without Pluto we'd be stuck with Neun and never know what kind of nine objects the father explains. |
