Good Afternoon, commoners! I was simply honoured to be invited to this monumental event to celebrate me! I am, of course, Thomas Everington - of Everington Cakes Limited - and quite frankly, I was expecting some banners. A cake maybe. Some streamers. Fireworks. But I supposed this'll have to do. I'm sure that none of you have ever been to any of my stores anyway, we're a very high class business, you know! And in fact, I almost decided not to turn up here at all. There I was, sitting down to a splendid supper of roast peacock with a garnish of boiled penguin - straight from my home zoo - when I received a telegram from my servant. "The NTWF?" I exclaimed with absolute horror, "sounds like some sort of insane asylum". But after I had that servant fired, a second one assured me that there was a fabulous event held just for me. I could hardly say no, now could I? Reminds me of the time I went to a birthday party. The boy who invited me actually had the cheek to tell me that the whole thing was for him. I was distraught. Who would dare invite me to a party in which i'm not the main focus?! So naturally, daddy took all of his presents, and then evicted him and his family from their home. Oh it was simply smashing to watch them all drive away. The home was then turned into a dog house for my pets. It was a little small, but we can't have everything, now can we?
You know, if we've the time, I've got quite the tale to tell you. All about how I was stranded on an island and almost contracted rabies. Oh it was terrible. There was some kind of mutated vulture who attacked me. But I won't spoil any more.
