Hey, at least you're doing something! I wish I could say the same for myself. xD Maybe I'll have some of my sister's sparkling apple cider. Brown. It's functional, subdued, practical, and allows me to blend into my surroundings. Like a ninja. Second favorite color... uh... is plaid a color? Because, flannel shirts. Who is/are your favorite character(s) on Neopets and why? Of course, by talking with friends, I mean all of you guys. My idea of partying hard is having an intense story session. B^D My favorite characters are definitely Lord Darigan, Master Vex, General Galgarrath, and Sally. I adore Citadel history. It's so powerful and much deeper than you'd expect, bringing up questions about what makes good and evil, and whether actions could be considered justified if they harm innocents. Master Vex in particular shows the importance of doing what is right, even if it means allying with those who hurt you or standing up to tyrants at the risk of losing your own life. And oh, Sally, dear Sally! Such kindness and genuine trust, which saved Darigan, who stopped the war—one small person can change history, and no act of kindness is wasted. I choose to repeat the question. I'm curious what other people's answers are.

Kougo because he's awesome
This is a very difficult question because I don't fanboy a particular character very often and most of the characters I really enjoyed (Hoban from Cyodrake's Gaze, Katya from Treasure Keepers, etc.) all got very little screentime (at least lasting screentime when compared to stars like Jazan and Hanso).
and that's not at all the reason I wanted to include them in a written NT work sometime
But if I had to pick, probably one of those two because they seem to have really eccentric personalities, I like that Hoban has more influence than he seems to realize (or he fully realizes and is just super immature about it), and Katya is super mysterious and seems to know a lot more than she lets on. (or at least that's how I characterized her).
Let's repeat that question again! Or maybe just make a board about it! >_>

... You have an excellent idea of partying hard, @torkie10.
The Citadel characters are really fascinating. *nods* I love Sally, she's awesome. And Hoban is great too! I wish I'd spent more time on that plot, I did really like him.
Jazan is one of my favorite site characters, and not just because he's so fun to make of (really). I have fond memories of participating in the Lost Desert Plot, so a lot of the characters from it stuck with me, but I guess I have a soft spot for villain-type characters who just need a little love. I really enjoy exploring his relationship with Nabile as I imagine it to be based more (realistically) on intellect and wit than being lovesick weirdos. She's the fast-talking, street-smart snark, and he's the socially awkward, moody bookworm. Winning combination.
Hanso is another one of my favorite characters--even though I'm usually not a fan of the charismatic-rogue archetype, his interactions with Jazan are what sealed the deal for me, and I love how he and Brynn play off of each other. He is also intensely fun to write and I like how he's essentially become his own self-aware meme.
The Werelupe King ended up growing on me more than I thought he would. At first I put him in my series simply because I needed a good antagonist for the Haunted Woods act of the story, but then I began to explore his motivations for his actions in the series and realized what a lonely, confused individual he is and he just kind of became adorable. He's also just really fun to write as a brash, snarling warrior who isn't afraid to take what he wants and is a messy eater.
Corbin and Kell are also incredibly fun to write (also I like Corbin's hair...). Maybe it's partly because I was so jazzed about my first full plot participation since I came back to the site, but I love their dynamic, and I really enjoy writing Kell as high-strung, overwrought, and overstressed (which is obviously cathartic for me) and Corbin as his more emotionally-stable counterpart.
I also really like Dr. Sloth as a character. He has the potential to be an incredibly terrifying antagonist--but also, for some reason, I enjoy when people write about him not in the antagonistic role. I always picture him as a brilliant sociopath and I tend to take a liking to sympathetic brilliant sociopathic characters more than I should. <_<
TL;DR: Every character I write about ends up becoming a favorite character.
I also choose to repeat the question unless Torkie or Coaster answer this again, in which case, what was your first Neopets plot?

*has created a board for that question specifically! 8D* My first Neopets plot was Champions of Meridell on an old account (this was before I knew about how rare the Knight avatar would end up being ), and Battle for Meridell on this account. Next question: what's your lifetime favorite stuffed animal, whether you still have it or not?

Champions of Meridell was my first plot, too! I actually didn't technically participate in it because my pets were so weak they couldn't even defeat the first wave. <_< But I joined the site in March of that year so I followed the plot from the beginning. I have fond, fond memories of that plot.
I actually still have my favorite stuffed animal (although it's currently in storage). It's a cartoony toy sauropod with wings. Yep. No idea where it came from, but my grandma got it for me and I carried it around everywhere when I was little.
If you could visit any period in American history, where/when would you go? (This is definitely not inspired by the nightmare I had last night that I had to attend one more day of my American history class randomly in the middle of winter break.)

Haha, a winged dinosaur does sound like a keepsake. I have a white Bengal tiger I used to sleep with every night. And since when I played with him was a time when I was in love with Calvin and Hobbes and I felt so special to also own a stuffed tiger, I named him Dobbes X) Yeah. No judgment. He still sits at the foot of my bed with my first Webkinz (the rest are in a hammock above my bed).
I think I'd want to go back to the Mormon migration to Utah. Not for any religious reasons, but I'd love to see the uncivilized Utah and experience the discovery of the red desert and rock. Early Oregon also sounds tempting for similar reasons.
If you could have a perfect day, what would it be like?

That red rock desert is spectacularly gorgeous. *nods*
My perfect day would probably consist of the beach, dinosaurs, robots, aliens, and lots of chocolate. Like, all at the same time. Yep.
What memory stands out the most to you from second grade?

Sitting in the portable while the teacher played guitar and we sang songs about dinosaur pie and ghost riders and whatnot because TOTALLY EDUCATIONAL AMIRITE. ...that or maybe the day everyone brought their Digimon Transformers to class for no apparent reason.
Between your second to fourth grade, what was the most popular thing at your school that didn't last very long?

... You had the best second grade ever.
This is going to date me: Pogs! Yeah. I got excited. Had like two. Realized I did not actually know anyone I could play the game with. The next month, everyone had forgotten Pogs existed.
Oh, the 90's.
What was the most memorable costume you ever wore?

Probably the Hiccup costume I wore for Halloween a couple years ago. It's the most memorable for me because I had to create the costume all on my own, a two month project. I think the most tedious thing I did (and that's saying something) was trim black fur and spray paint it brown because I couldn't find the fur vest's appropriate color. That was an adventure X( Also, good gracious I was just obsessed with that boy at the time. Unfortunately my mom said that she lost the pictures she took of me in that costume, and it felt tight on me then, so there's no way I'm putting it back on now to avenge that photography. Also, fun fact, I carried a small kitchen knife that entire night to stay in character X)
What was the first movie you remember seeing?

In theatre: Prince of Egypt At home: VeggieTales "Where's God When I'm S-scared?", or The Lion King
since I'm not sure which setting you were referring to. The Lion King was probably the first movie I ever saw and I saw it continuously, but I don't remember having watched it as early in life as clearly as the former.
Most nostalgic song from your childhood? (list some if you have to)

Enya's The Memory of Trees album. I first heard it at my grandma's house and she let me take it home. I used to listen to it on repeat for hours on end while I drew.
Why are we suddenly talking so much about our childhoods?

Because childhood is an awesome thing. Not to mention that answering a question on a particular topic tends to produce questions from a similar topic if you don't know beforehand what you're going to ask.
What item (of monetary value--not people or pets or anything) have you lost or had stolen from you that was worth the most?

I once had an out-of-state pen pal. One day I received a letter from her that had been opened, and it was encased in a plastic bag with some sort of formal apology note from the postal service. Apparently she had tried to put jewelry or something directly in the envelope and mail it, and someone had broken into it and stolen it. That was kind of a bummer. But we were 11--I don't think she ever could have foreseen that. (Also I don't like jewelry anyway, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise.)
What's the farthest away from home you've ever traveled?

Yeah, that's further away than Spain is from here. *Turbo-brick'd* What's the weirdest food craving you get?
