Four years ago... I was a junior in high school. 16. A month earlier my best friend's dad (and close family friend) died. Life was strange. I had just come back to the NTWF, and had started becoming friends with Carrie. <3 I had so much energy and I was hyper. And so... innocent. Being happy was still easy for me back then. It's weird to think back on it now. I've changed a lot.
Also, weird coincidence: I created my NTWF journal exactly 4 years ago today. xD So weird that that's been around for four whole years...

Four year ago I was hanging out with my friends all the time and actually enjoying school. The biggest problem in my life was if my parents would let me sleepover at my friends' house. Time of my life right there.

Four years ago I was in the dark place of death and despair that some call "middle school". It was before I discovered the NTWF for sure, so I was definitely a lonely kid, being a loner in real life. XD; I was reading a lot of books, and for age 12/13 I was at a much greater reading level than my peers. I believe I was still spending a huge amount of time on Neopets.
Most of my time four years ago was spent thinking about travel and writing. I was sure I was going to be some type of famous novelist- a life goal that's been disposed of by this point- and I really wanted to move from Florida at some point. Having been born in Florida and never moving after, this is an understandable goal that I'm still holding today. ^^; Considering I was into a lot of annoying music and TV shows at the time, the "travel" part is the one similarity I have to myself at 4 years ago besides liking to write.

I clearly *cough cough hack* win this *cough* competition you *wheeze* whipper *cough* snappers... *Stumbles on her cane, sits in a rocking chair, and shakes the cane at you all.* True dat ;_; I don't think it's possible to win against you, GLQ. Unless you're Killix.

Let's see... 4 years ago I was in 10th grade, which was my first year of high school because my high school went from 10 - 12th grade. In October that year, right around this time, I went on my first "dates" with this one kid, who quickly "broke up" with me within two weeks to get back with his old girl friend.
I believe I also went to my first highschool pep rally at this time of year. I missed the football game though...
Oh fun memories...

Four years ago... October... 2007, was a few months after my marriage to Strife, and I was in the process of applying for my US greencard (which I didn't get until February 2008). I experienced my first, American Halloween as well. And I believe I was a mini mod back then.

Four years ago I was 16 going on 17 and in the beginning of my senior year of high school. At that point, I had no idea yet where exactly I'd be after graduating or what I'd be doing. Back then I was writing a lot. I had a lot of your typical teenage angst. xP But I'd gotten plenty settled into high school and was comfortable with trying to enjoy it for the most part. Though compared to now, I was still incredibly quiet and shy. I think I grew more in my first year of college than in all of high school. XD

Four years ago I was eleven, and I had braces and I had a different name and gender and I was much less mature. I was really into Neopets and Furcadia. I was friends with my current best friend, but not as much as I am now. If I remember correctly, I was also best friends with someone who was extremely toxic and manipulative of me. I liked politics a little, but I wasn't nearly as into it or social justice as I am now. I had totally different music taste, and didn't even know about my favourite band yet. I was more into magic and paranormal at that time. And probably a thousand other differences I'm forgetting.
That's really weird to think about, wow.

You know what? I'm going to write a blog post about this, and plug the forum as well. It fits perfectly, because I intend to write my thoughts on moving out of the city I've been in for the past three years, and poking my thoughts on this will be the perfect fodder for that. My digital tracks are quite long, and I've kept journal entries as well, so...should be interesting to see what I think now, versus what I was.
