*Sgt. Guy doesn't show up for a while, then appears*
Sgt. Guy: ... Torkie?
Torkie: Hi. :>
Torkie: How are you doing? :V
Sgt. Guy: I'm okay, how are you?
Torkie: I've been very tired today, but I'm better now. :>
Torkie: We're doing interviews, and you were selected.
Sgt. Guy: I see. *takes a seat*
Torkie: *Holds up clipboard* :3
Torkie: Okay. First tell us your full name and about your hometown. :V
Sgt. Guy: My full name is Sergeant Guy. It's not really a first name and last name thing, but rather that Shy Guys go by rank or other distinctive features. I simply didn't find any other name when taking a human form. ... As for my hometown, I lived a bit outside of Toad Town in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Sgt. Guy: I didn't see the town that much, though, because I stayed inside the Shy Guy base. It was very expansive.
Sgt. Guy: Sort of like... a toy box on the inside, with blocks and springs.
Sgt. Guy: I did get to go travel once, but that was... well.
Torkie: Didn't go so well, I take it? :B
Sgt. Guy: ... Not really.
Torkie: Did that have to do with your boss?
Sgt. Guy: One of them.
Torkie: You have more than one boss?
Sgt. Guy: I would answer to General Guy, but he led the Shy Guys. They, as a whole, answered to King Bowser.
Sgt. Guy: We haven't heard from him in a long time, however.
Torkie: Ohhhh. Okay.
Torkie: I don't know much about your world, you see. :V
Torkie: How did you end up in town at the Forum?
Sgt. Guy: Most of the Shy Guys and the General had found their way here via a Writer's summoning.
Sgt. Guy: I was a temporary complete leader of the Shy Guys for when General Guy failed King Bowser. He seized control again and the King didn't care very much, however, as he got distracted with other things. So we ended up working together.
Sgt. Guy: I noticed them gone for longer than they had usually left, and one morning woke up teleported with the rest.
Torkie: You were in charge of the SGs for a while? :U What was that experience like?
Torkie: Did you enjoy being a leader?
Sgt. Guy: Yes. It was chaotic, like expected, but I could whip them into shape when I needed to. They simply listened to a sane leader that got them food and shelter. The typical childish mentality meant that they needed room to commit petty crimes like thievery, but that only funded larger treasure hunting projects. I got booted from control, though.
Torkie: You're not like the other Shy Guys, I've noticed. :> You seem more focused, better educated, and overall more of someone who has a better grip on reality.
Torkie: Is there any particular cause for this, and has it made it hard for you to fit in?
Sgt. Guy: I trained alongside Magikoopa units instead of other Shy Guy units. A few of the guys in charge noticed me sneaking into the castle library a lot, and... eventually decided that if I liked magic so much, they might as well let me learn it so that I'd leave them alone. The Magikoopa units have absolutely no sense of humor and are the opposite of Shy Guys, basically. There was little room to joke around.
Sgt. Guy: I was clearly placed in charge of the others because I was destined for something more than a typical Shy Guy was. I knew that. I didn't get along with some when they wouldn't behave, which... became more often as it got later and later into the first year.
Sgt. Guy: General Guy gets along with most of them better, so that's one thing he has. *shrugs*
Torkie: I see. Do you find your coworkers amusing? :V
Sgt. Guy: Occasionally.
Torkie: *Looks through notes for a moment*
Torkie: Do they really use Gourmet Guy for a trampoline, or is that just a rumor? :V
Sgt. Guy: *laughs at this*
Sgt. Guy: They would sometimes do that, yes.
Torkie: derp
Torkie: A while back, you got a human form to use. :> How did that come about? :3
Sgt. Guy: I believe I have you to thank, there? : P
Torkie: :3
Torkie: Oh wait hold on
Torkie: 0:3
Torkie: There
Torkie: For our viewers who don't know, he is referring to
this.
Sgt. Guy: It has been nice to have the form so far.
Torkie: I hear your boss was real surprised. :V
Sgt. Guy: He was indeed. *amused* I accidentally left Lawyer Guy as the only sane one in the group.
Torkie: derp
Torkie: Do you and Lawyer Guy get along? :U
Sgt. Guy: Pretty much. We were pretty similar for a while, I think. He cared a bit less about the absurdity of the Shy Guys, though.
Torkie: What do you do on an average day when you're not on an ~avenchur~ of some sort?
Sgt. Guy: That depends. Sometimes I would do jobs for the Writers, but it wasn't a steady thing. It became a way to support myself, at least.
Sgt. Guy: I took to doing some paintings and sometimes those would sell for a bit.
Sgt. Guy: But beyond just things like that, I've been doing some research. I've mostly been in the library, or out finding things for the research. I just find some topics interesting, and didn't have any great formal schooling to do this in.
Sgt. Guy: I was thinking about starting to travel, but haven't decided on where to visit yet. Reading about various places was nice enough, as was continuing painting and things like that.
Torkie: What do you like most about being around the Forum as opposed to the Mushroom Kingdom?
Sgt. Guy: Hm... there's a lot more interesting people to meet. People gather from all universes, while people in many parts of the Mushroom Kingdom simply stay in the town they are born into. It creates a unique culture.
Torkie: Alright. Last question: What are you looking forward to for the rest of the summer? :>
Sgt. Guy: Oh... You know. Getting to travel, attending and helping set up gatherings like Peaceful Day, and working on things I enjoy. *smiles, stopping himself*
Torkie: Alright then. :3 Thank you for your time.
Sgt. Guy: Thank you for the interview, it was intriguing. *vanishes*
