The two treasure seekers scurried over to the Altadorian Archives, where Finneus spent much of his time. In the lobby, they promptly located his office,and, noting that the door was ajar, Artemis simple stepped inside and Hayden followed suit.
The office was in its usual disorganized state, with piles of clutter on every surface, but it only took a moment to spot Finneus, who was seated at his corner desk, hunched over some papers. Artemis gave a light chuckle "Uncle... Didn't you say you'd clean up this place?"
The Lenny at the table jumped a little, only noticing the visitors at that moment. He sat up straight, and turned his chair around so he could look his visitors in the eye. "Oh, my dear niece, what brings you here? I was just reading this interesting article concerning the field of astronomy-"
"Sorry to interrupt, Finneus, but this might very well be important." The Cybunny cut in "I was out this morning, trying to fish up some treasure,and I reeled in this bottle. We took off the cork and this paper slid out. I think it might be a clue to a great treasure!" He began to unroll the scroll. "The problem is- it's in some strange language I can't figure out. " He held up the unrolled parchment to show the Archivist. "Can you read this?" He sets the paper down on his desk.
The older Lenny shakes his head as his eyes light up. "I have never seen anything like this before! I'm not quite sure where to began. There are a hundred thousand books in the archives, and with that it will be quite time consuming to look up something to decode this message with."
"Well that's just dandy!" exclaims Artemis, and she bangs down on the desk in her annoyance. The table rattles, and a small flask of shimmering, yellow liquid falls over on its side and shatters.
The peculiar liquid spills out onto the parchment, staining it a deeper shade of yellow... and causing the letters on the scroll to change from faded black to a glowing, neon blue. Everyone in the office rushes to the paper without a word. The letters swirl, moving themselves on the page, and the strange writing shifts into...
