On top of our house, just above my bed, there is a flat bit of roof. I think some gulls have set up a nest there because I keep hearing them land on it and call very vigorously.

Someone stop me before I go too far, I’ve gotten into making and replying to YouTube comments to try and correct misinformation I see.

Me and one of my lecturers have the same initials and similar first names. I kept expecting this to one day become an issue.
It happened today. Checking my inbox, I found a meeting invite meant for her, followed by a cancelled meeting and an explanation. Whoops.

So 'Adore You' by Harry Styles is just the sweetest song, both the lyrics and the video. Oh my gosh! So lovely. I didn't know it was by him until right now.

Youtube (which is basically my whole life right now), why must you keep recommending me vaguely titled vlog videos of people I don't even know? I don't care what this person "has been hiding" from me, or what deep dark secret this person is confessing. Not only do I not care to watch these random strangers' drama, but I also don't want to even care about what it may be about by seeing those clickbait titles. Please stop xD

So I bought a container of candies. I open the lid. To find there's a seal I need to remove. (...) Ever since you made this post I've been thinking about this

Sometimes you're programming something small for something important and it takes forever to figure it out.
Sometimes you're programming something relatively complex and it works the second time.

MY CAT: You're mildly allergic to me, wouldn't it be a shame if I....SHOVED MY FACE INTO YOUR FACE??!?? ME: Ahhhh nooooooo, Biscuit why??!??
(she does this ALL THE TIME but really, I also bury my face in her fur so I'm just...kind of useless here haha! She's so lovely and floof!)

You know those times when you're looking for info online and one of the sites that has good info also has terrible web design?
Like, this one has a medium blue background with stonewash-blue text.
No. No. Let me read what you're trying to tell me. Readable text is like, basic web design. C'mon. xD

"Boy, the world sure is an interesting place right now and I keep reading about murder hornets, but thankfully that's on the other side of the world for us so we can just continue living relatively-as-normal." *opens major news outlet first thing in the morning, as I tend to do these days.* TOP STORY: "Two or three bears on the loose in [city district near us]. The Rescue Board asks that people stay indoors." Me: (Goshdarnit I have a package to pick up from the parcel terminal literally behind our house. Presumably I can do at least that without having to worry about SUDDEN BEARS?) (maybe?)

Last year, I noticed a very distressing lack of birds in my area. Usually in the summer and early fall you could be woken up by their early-morning chirping and would hear them throughout the rest of the day. But last year it was just silent. Like, you go outside and hear nothing but wind and distant cars. It was really unnerving.
Already this spring though, I've been noticing a lot more birds hanging around. I see robins pretty often, and I'm pretty certain a couple of gray birds (I'm not very good at bird identification...) have a nest in one of the small cedars growing in the yard. And I can actually hear them all around when I walk outside.
Hopefully it stays like that. I'd also like to see the local bees in greater numbers this year too. (It was really scary seeing so few honeybees last year...)

(On just about every single cooking show I watch)
Chef: "Next, we're going to get the water boiling. For seasoning, add just a pinch of salt..." *throws entire fistful of salt into water*

Last night I had... Several dreams, one I'd rather not talk about, but the other...
It involved me coming across some posting confidently saying that flux is a unit of force.
And me trying to hold back...
But eventually going "NO IT'S NOT A UNIT OF FORCE IT'S A RATE OF CHANGE OF A PARAMETER OVER AN AREA*" and basically causing a scene.
I'm getting very worked up about incorrect science facts being passed around, even in dreams, apparently. xD
*I actually said something slightly less incorrect than the original but still incorrect, and I'm not about to feed false information.

My brother got Dormouse a bald eagle plush for her upcoming birthday, and it's not fair because I want it.
Yes, I am twenty six.
