"So, I guess we should go." Victor said, trying to break the awkward silence. "Nocturnus must be planning something big for Altador, and any second counts right now."

"Yes, let's," Anthy said with forced enthusiasm. "Where do we go?"

"To the cliffside of that mountain." Hunter drew his sword and pointed it at the mountain.
"Soon... Soon I will be able to return to my rightful state." Nocturnus chuckled lowly as Kreludor rose, and his shadow began to stretch out behind him. "The Xweetok sorceress is the reason I'm free; even the Betrayer herself feared me, and rightfully so." His shadows began to move on their own, like an army of demons.

Xandra began to lead the way toward the mountain. She'd just told a Pteri servant to tell the royal family where she was going.
"I certainly hope this doesn't mean Katriana's escaped from that jewel..." she muttered to herself.

"I doubt that's the case. Besides, we defeated the Wraiths before, and-" Hunter suddenly drew his sword and pointed it at a shadow. "Show yourself. Are you friend or foe?"
The twirl of a hook-shaped blade was all Hunter needed to know as the unknown Neopian leapt down from a tree. "Relax, Hunter. I heard there was some trouble around here, so I decided to stop by, maybe pick a few pockets while I'm at it."
"Sirocco!" Hunter sheathed his sword and extended his hand out. "Where have you been?"
Sirocco grabbed Hunter's hand and lifted their arms up from their elbows in their own secret handshake. "You know, stealing artefacts too dangerous to be kept in the open where some common thug can yoink 'em, taking down Malkus Vile's syndicate, flirting with lovely ladies..." Sirocco turned to Xandra and Anthy for a brief moment and smiled. "The usual."
"Wait, aren't you and Zefyra-"
"Don't talk about it. Please." Sirocco frowned. "Anyway, I'm guessing you four could use some help?"

"Thank you," Xandra said.
Zefyra...she wanted to ask how she was, but for some reason this Zafara didn't seem to want to talk about it, so she kept her mouth shut.
"I'm the younger sister of Queen Kalara," she said. She was NOT making the same mistake she'd made with Anthy. Ever. Again.
And if anyone asked, it was all Katriana's fault.
(OOC: Yeahhh she's going to keep thinking that way unless something happens...and it hopefully will...)

"Yes, thank you," Anthy said warmly, then cupped a paw to her mouth. Suddenly she'd felt tempted to blurt out something irrelevant and probably inappropriate. Awkwardly lowering her paw, she added, "We could very much use some help." She glanced nervously at the distant hills. "Perhaps we could hurry this up? This whole issue sounded very urgent."

"Well, being with two lovely ladies like you certainly would help." Sirocco twirled his khopesh around again and smirked. "So, where is this guy?"
"Right... Here..." Nocturnus' shadow oozed down the cliffside, as the Wraith King stood above them. His shadow then rose, forming...
"Oblivion!" Hunter drew his sword, prepared for the fight of his life.

"Good Fyora!" Anthy hissed, snapping her wrist and summoning a ball of flames. She swiftly spread out her arms, sending a burning, bright wave of flicking fire at the shadows.

The fury is Victor's chest got stronger, and he ignored patience once again, but this time he refused to do the same mistake! On an eyrie's mind, the biggest weapon you have is your vision, the eyes are the soul's windows and the door to the world, and today Victor decided Oblivion, or Nocturnus, wasn't worthy of this gift.
The eyrie zoomed to the giant warth's face, dogging the arms and finally reaching the face. Victor felt his claws penetrating Oblivion's left eye, slowly so it would give enough time to the others to strike him.

Well, with the swiftness of Victor's attack, Xandra's plan to trick Oblivion to thinking the group was on his side was not going to work. Very well...
She sent a huge spark at his left foot, screaming at him, demanding what he was doing in Altador.
Of course, who controlled the wraiths now?
"Is it Katriana?! DID SHE SEND YOU?! DID SHE?!"

"Katriana? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Nocturnus' laugh echoed throughout the night. It was an awful sound, a cacophony of terror. "The Faeries imprisoned us! Nowe we must find the girl who is the key... And CRUSH her!"
"CRUUUUUUUSH!" Oblivion raised his mighty hand, and tore Victor out of his eye, tossing him to the ground with enough force to leave a crater. "CRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH!" Oblivion reared back, and spewed a blast of hellfire from his gaping maw.
"Xandra! Anthy! We need a shield! Now!" Hunter gave his command, and dashed forward to protect Victor.
"No worries, Hunter. I got this covered." Sirocco jumped down and stabbed Oblivion's back with his khopesh, dragging his blade down the dark titan's back.
"Pathetic..." Nocturnus chuckled as he glared at Xandra. "We will find the keystone. You can be sure of that."

Victor felt terrible pain from everywhere, he was thankful his sister pushed him on the Magma pool years ago, or else he'd be dead by now. He felt his left wing was broken, but he couldn't help but smirk, he managed to partly blind Oblivion!
But even though that, Oblivion was still there, standing strong and apparently invincible. Sirocco stabbed Oblivion's back and he simply laughed at it, and Victor felt more useless than ever...

"The girl who is the key"? Did they mean her? How was she a key? She was just picked at random by Katriana...wasn't she?
"I don't know what you mean," Xandra said sharply. "But I know you're taking over Altador. And I can't let you!" She sent another huge blast, this time at the monster's other eye. Then, she made a force field around herself and Anthy, protecting them from the fire. She did not know anything about the Faeries and the wraiths, but she did know that Katriana would ally herself with them if she could. Then again, she wasn't a Faerie. Not on the inside. Xandra wondered how such an evil creature had managed to be born one.

"You think YOU'RE the key?!" Nocturnus laughed cruelly. "The key is hidden deep within the Lost Forest."
