There can be no winner.

Do you mean to say that this board is like Schrodinger's cat, June?

It kind of is. Unless someone actually locks the thread, there'll be no absolute winner.

Nah, the absolute winner when the thread is locked is whoever posts last. Mods can also post in locked threads, so I could teeeechnically cheat, but that's not so fun.

But having a thread like Schrodinger's cat would be kinda cool. :3 The thing with Schrodinger's cat scenario, it's not like there's no define option. The thing with the hypothetical cat was that the cat was in a room and we didn't know if it was alive or dead. Without observing it, the cat would be both alive and dead. So basically, if this thread was hypothetically locked and nobody sees who posted last, that would mean we all win. So technically a Schrodinger's cat thread, not really plausible, someone's always going to know who posted last. Like I'm sure the mods see the last post when locking a thread. If I confused someone, I'm sorry, I confused myself, too. (Putting my 12th grade Physics class to good use here. )

Right.

So to have a Schrödinger thread, it would have to be a 'last one who looks wins' scenario? Where the act of looking to see who won requires you to look at the thread to see who last looked at it, thereby invalidating the result?

Well, I mean, technically, anyone who was the last poster at any time has won this thread before.
We're all winners!
