First time experimenting with GIMP (which is really neat, thanks Sarn!). I do like how her eyes came out, though.

Nice first try, Sae! ^^
In the future, take advantage of GIMP's layers to color more cleanly. Here it looks like you've used the fill tool, which can have an awkward effect and leave many ragged spots. With layers in mind, use a bottom one for a sketch. The drawing looks nice, but it's lacking anatomically. The ears are different sizes and the neck is a wee too long. Use a sketch layer to work on the anatomy and plan out everything before you add in the lines and color. That way it'll come out much better. ^_^

Thanks, Nat! I will think about that.

*late again* Thank you so much, Komori and Crystal. xD; I, uh. Wow. Hearing any sort of compliment on that picture took me kinda by surprise. But I really appreciate it. Sae - That is so much better than my first try with GIMP. xD ( This wasn't even the first.) Way to go! Her eyes are indeed quite nice, but personally I'm even more impressed by her lips. Lips are hard to draw, and hers look cute, symmetrical, and expressive. Nat - Yes, but on the other hand... so cool. =D Also, you are like the queen of moeblobs. Those eyes. She's just, just... n'yawwwww. <3 Tiger - Owl! ^_^ He looks so fluffy, but also kind of like he could take my arm off, so I'll try to remember not to pet him. I really like how expressive his beak is. 'Nother sketch from me. Egads. Now with 100% more possibly-illegible speech bubbles. Just one more on an already long list of things Tamia shouldn't be allowed to do, ever. Waistcoat! <3

Nat, Tamia and Tiger, those are gorgeous! This time, I put vertices in one layer using dots of ink, then connected on another layer. Then I threw away the vertex layer and added details.

Since I posted here, I feel vaguely obligated - as PFA puts it - to post something. I don't usually post my comic, because it's so quick and impressionistic it's like I'm cheating somehow, but I feel like I need to prove that yes! I do (occasionally) do art! xD I haven't really felt like drawing lately. My life has been hectic and I never really know what to draw, especially in public. I feel like if I try, I can turn out some somewhat passable stuff, but if someone says "Draw something!", I don't know what to do. It's a mystery. *late again* Thank you so much, Komori and Crystal. xD; I, uh. Wow. Hearing any sort of compliment on that picture took me kinda by surprise. But I really appreciate it. LOL xD That's because I absolutely adore your style! :3 It's so simple and uncomplicated, and a little comic-like, but still really expressive and that comes out best in sketches. :3 Plus it's got just the right amount of stylism to it. Expressiveness and stylism are problems I struggle with, so I automatically adore anyone who can do them. Besides, Kiyoshi is my type.Grove; your Yurble is impressive! I especially like how the fur flows, all smooth and pretty. You did an amazing job, it looks near professional to me. :3 And Caylista, you have a gorgeous, consistent sense of anatomy and colour. I've always loved your art <3

Umm these aren't exactly sketches but they were pretty rushed anyway Silly attempts at retro-style/unconverted Neopets art. There are more (I've done all the poses for the Royal Techos, Royal Kikos, and Royal Wockies) but these are all I felt like posting. :B I couldn't even tell they weren't official art at first. @_@ Well done! Hm, I feel vaguely obligated to actually post some art, but I'm not sure what to post. XD; I'd post a preview of Maggie's Backstory or something if I had one.

Haha, excellent work, guys. You've all got such great, fantastic art. =D Wonderful job. I imagine there's some sort of story behind these guys but I haven't figured it out yet. I'm just calling them "Steedbugs" for now, for lack of a better name. xD; You can't really tell that they're large enough to be ridden on, though- I should have included another person for reference.

I like the bugs, Icon! I love the one that's turning around to look at the person sitting on him like "I am a bug! Why are you riding me?" XDD Cappa - That picture is hilarious and a little bit.. creepy? I mean that in a good way, it's hard for my brain to wrap around the idea of eating something with one's antennae. xP And Nat, I love your moeblob girls. They're just so adorable! And since I'm here I'll post this drawing I did last night, even though I have no idea what compelled me to draw it, as it's not my usual sort of subject matter and for some reason I decided not to ink it. OH WELL

So my laptop went on a strike. In an attempt to cure it, I ran all possible diagnostics and scans one can possibly run on a laptop, and it took literally the whole day, eventually pulling up enough trojans for an entire trojan horse farm. As I had nothing else to do while the scans ran, I doodled said trojan horse farm. (It was mostly an experiment in expressions, really.)
