Aww, it's kind of sad that John is finding out how his friend is a terrible person  I wonder if the ring is meant for Calliope, so she can be resurrected and fight her brother? |

They did mentioned both rings are very similar appearance-wise. |

Mmm, I can't blame him though, and as a passive person myself I'm proud he got the gumption and spoke his mind.
I do think that Vriska is an interesting character, but I'm on John's side with this judgement call. Vriska is manipulative, overestimates her strengths/underestimates her faults, rationalizes questionable actions, and as John stated, is dangerous. Again, I like her as a character, but would I want to be her friend? Considering what's become of her friends (one killed, one maimed then later killed, one blinded), I can't say I would. Much less entrust her with a powerful artifact, and let her throw the world of the living into chaos. Nope, let sleeping trolls lie.
I will say that I find the Terezi drama distressing also. I feel that someone of her "caliber" (lol) should be better than this. She is cunning and able to play mind games without psychically forcing someone to do her bidding. She actually tries to make decisions based on what is for the good of all, and not her personal gain/glory. To see her fallen to that of an oblivious, transparent, faygo induced stupor is saddening. I don't think that recovering her eyesight is as big a deal as she is making of it; I'm attributing it to her overall depression. I hope that she gets through this and becomes the character we love again >:]
