My [one completed] fanfiction suffered a horrible death like that(almost twice), it's not an experience I would recommend. Having said that, go for it. You may be pleasantly surprised, and if not then I won't be alone in my misery. =D

Fanon=Trixie returns, controlled by Nightmare Moon
What may happen in canon=Trixie returns, controlled by King Sombra
Fanon=Silver Spoon splits from Diamond Tiara and tries to improve, now free from her influence
What may happen in canon=Silver Spoon isn't influenced, and is just as big of a jerk as Diamond.
Fanon=My take on the battle between Celestia and Nightmare Moon
What may happen in canon=An origin story for both alicorns, which includes this battle.

Okay, so the first will pretty much scrapped completely.
The second is a concern I have, after I heard that an episode will focus on bullying. Though not stated, it's likely a Silver Spoon/Diamond Tiara/CMC episode.
The third is somewhat likely, since John de Lance (Voice of Discord) has stated he's done more voice work for MLP after the Season 2 premire. Some think it's an origin story rather than the return of Discord. The worry is that it will become canon.

The only thing known about the Trixie episode is that she returns to Ponyville. She beats Twilight Sparkle. And Twilight is banished from the town. From there, who knows.
And what episode is going to focus on bullying? It's about Applebloom/Applejack's cousin, who bullies the CMCs. As for orgin cannon. One of my favorite pony comics involves Discord, Celestia, and Luna all being related XD |

...I totally would've failed that test Twilight gave. xD Not because I wouldn't want to stay, but because I wouldn't be able to help it, I don't think. I think there could've been a better test. (Although the sad Pinkie Pie should've been a tip-off... I understand being careful, but that one would've needed closer examination.)
That said, the older generation Pinkie cameo was awesome. xD |

Yeah, I'm not sure that was the best test either. XD; Especially considering how strict Twilight was. "YOU GOT DISTRACTED BY ANOTHER PINKIE DOING SOMETHING CRAZY, OFF WITH YE." For all we know, they could have been stuck with a really determined duplicate Pinkie because real!Pinkie sneezed by mistake (exaggeration, but).
But yes, that was pretty hilarious. And the old school Pinkie cameo was epic. XD |
