I am so close. =D I have 1.7k left. Which I will do tomorrow, with any luck. And then of course wrapping up the story. Or putting in the middle chunks, as the case may be.
Or not doing anything. I like the sound of the latter one. I'm pretty much thoroughly sick of this story, even with the high of reaching the end.

50.2k
I feel like I should feel something better than this, but at this point, I'm just glad I'm done. Whew.
The fifty-thousandth word is 'waves', and is distinguished only in that it belongs to one of the most awful sentences ever to be written.
Methinks for the two days that remain to me I'll try to wrap it up, but no loss if I don't. I dislike everything about the whole mess so much I actually feel vaguely sorry for my characters.
It's really too bad most of them never get a chance to develop themselves. D=

D: I am sorry that it didn't turn out well. But - hey! On the bright side, you finished anyway! Brilliant, yes?

It's okay they didn't get to develop themselves - that's what editing is for, right? And now that you've won NaNo, you can go back and fix it. =D So congratulations!

*hugs* It's sad that you're disappointed with how things turned out. D: But... I really admire you for sticking with it until the very end anyway. That takes a lot of determination, and probably a lot of really strong writerly-type-strength too. And maybe if you feel like you should have developed your characters more, that could be the glimmering hope for something very shiny that could come out of this novel, even though you're not happy with it as it now stands?
...Or maybe I'm just rambling and my own words aren't making a huge amount of sense at the moment, because November 29th. That's always a possibility. In that case, ignore all of this except for the hug. I definitely meant that part. <3

Thank you everyone. =D
I was having one of those post-NaNo bouts of awful 'I hate my writing I can't write', but I'm sure it's all gone now. ^_^ To editing and everything beyond!
