What, in the name of great Rome, happened to conquering our inferiors and extending our empire to the farthest reaches possible? Let the rules be set down and the people be governed by them, I say! You and your pals Pompey and Crassus may have formed the First Triumvirate. But the joke's on you, because triumvirates are illegal! And someone can sue you for that! *invokes the letter of the law* Edit: Oh wait, I got the wrong Gaius Julius Caesar. Now you... you dismantled the Roman republican system! D= And that's very unconstitutional. (Sorry for the Julius Caesar confusion. I was actually wondering if you'd noticed... ^_^; Yes, yes you did. I am rather displeased that you believe the fall republicanism was not for the better of society. I agree, however, that a constitution could be useful in the future. Rome must first get its borders under control, however, and expand our empire... That /is/ what Julius would have said and done.

My initial choice was already taken so I decided to CONQUER EVERYTHING IN MY PATH (Genghis Khan against the world? X3) But can he conquer ROME? Now, do not go off murdering every Roman you see. You're just bitter because you died-- well, I will just leave it at that.

The best part about historical figures week is that it's a good opportunity to learn something. ^_^
Then again, I wasn't exactly looking for a profile theme when I found St. Thecla... but she's too awesome to pass up.
*gives Christian witness in the 1st Century Roman Empire, then knocks the crown off a nobleman who tried to force her into marriage*

Nice try, Jack, but this is not the East End of London (which is being made short work of, as far as I am aware. Shame really.) but the ope desert. Sorry, nowhere for you to hide here. =P

You mean in the shadow of my well-armed Panzer, surrounded by other Panzers in the African desert. As soon as it hits midday, you'll have nowhere to hide.
Also, that coat can't be doing you any favours. xD

Rome must first get its borders under control, however, and expand our empire... That /is/ what Julius would have said and done. Like father like son, eh? *mutters under his breath* another in a line of quasi-regal militant dictators...Yes, yes. The battlefield is important. But what about the drier civil sphere, if you don't watch that then maybe Rome just might collapse from within... the praetorian guard could eventually become the deciding factor in elections, forcing the leading statesmen to expend huge sums of bribe money to keep this gang from killing potential emperors. (But who am I kidding? Of course Rome won't fall because we're AWESOME.) What, in the name of great Rome, happened to conquering our inferiors and extending our empire to the farthest reaches possible? Let the rules be set down and the people be governed by them, I say! =O Romans. I will have revenge! My great-grandfather used to always say, "Carthage must be destroyed". He'd end every single one of his speeches with that line, no matter what he was talking about: the price of fish in Sicily or a minor change to the law. And I warn you, I am every bit as anal and single-minded as he ever was. I will personally bore the ears off every statesman in Rome if you persist in resisting Mother Rome. ;D

Yes you did but we managed to recover, thanks to new management. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not happy with what the Fuhrer did to revive our Fatherland. Yet I still serve in his military, for Germany.
