Oh and a note to the mages, don't be copy-cats and everyone follow Celest, she was supposed to fly out in secret and whatnot and an RP gets boring when everyone is following the same plotline. Also make sure you've got good reasons for following (like Ikkin being worried about Celest's past possession) and a plausible way of getting there. Brassport isn't exactly "close". *prods the world map* As an example to others, Drakhé (my character) isn't going to Brassport just yet. At this point, he doesn't know about the archmage going there. He's too busy brooding and being shirtless and bandaged. I expect some NPCs will be telling him to PUT A SHIRT ON very shortly. ;P So, to anyone who plans on jumping in with a mage character, feel free to just have them not know. Who knows what subplots might start brewing in Mage Manor? Also, I swear Drakhé had a weird character progression. GW2: Shy and awkward. GW3: Cheerful amnesiac who gets his world turned upside down. Alliances: Fangirl bait.I wrote an entire post yesterday, but I ended up scrapping it because I couldn't think a good way to end it. Yeah, I can be that much of a perfectionist. >_> Maybe I'll get the healer NPC to go to the kitchen instead of the dragon man himself. EDIT: Rats with goggles on? Draco, have you been plotting with Sarn?! XD And to think, I was thinking of throwing in a community of sewer rats. You beat me to it! XD

Steampunk rats... this can only end in havoc. I look forward to it.
As for my latest post: this is actually the third version of that post. The first two versions failed to work.

Also, I forgot to mention this, but others are free to control the nurse NPC. She is only meant to be a bit player, after all. Just be reasonable about it and everyone should be fine.

Possibly, this was just a small group that decided to take up residence in Gil's shop XD Edit: I'll post a reply to Emily when I get up in the morning XD Edit2: Oh, and since someone other then my characters have spotted the Steampunk Rats. I have written up a little profile in the Guild NPC thread. Just in case anyone else wants to use them in the future for some random reason XD

Hmm. I just sent Tiger to Brassport, but I checked the first page of the Guild Map thread, and it doesn't look like it talks about distances between Brassport and the Manor. Any suggestions on a reasonable length of time it should take to get to Brassport from Mage Manor on horseback?

Any suggestions on a reasonable length of time it should take to get to Brassport from Mage Manor on horseback? Three-ish days, realistically? I figured out roughly how long it'd take to get from Castle Kestrel to Silverkeep for the Knightly roleplay, and that was one-ish day. I'd suggest starting closer to Brassport than Dunburrow, though; if you were in exile, you could've been anywhere, and roleplays usually move too quickly for days-long delays of travel like that.

Well, I said she was in a forest between Brassport and Mage Manor...I could always put her closer to Brassport, I suppose, since you're right, it seems to be moving way too quickly for a three day jaunt XD Thanks!

It's official. I have a very strange sense of humour. Anyway, I have a little tradition of putting down notes about my latest post once in a while. So of course I'll keep up that tradition. * At some point I got the idea to try and develop the shapeshifter as an NPC. No idea whether I'll follow that up (I have lots of NPCs already), but regardless, having the nurse make a reference to him could serve as a starting point for something. * I had the idea for the spotlight joke ever since I wrote down my first post. (The Manor was responsible for that spotlight, by the way.) Originally it was going to happen in my second post, but I decided to slow down the pacing. I think it works better this way. * I actually sat down and choreographed the fight between Drakhé and the shapeshifter (in my head), just so I could work out where the bandages were. (As an example, one of his forearms is wrapped up. You know how sometimes you might throw up your arms to protect your face? That's what he did.) Hey, I'm nothing if not pedantic.

I don't believe I've fully introduced myself on this thread. So... hi. I do believe this is one of my first large scale roleplays, so I'm not entirely sure how I'm doing. If something I've said isn't canon, or is too godmodish, could someone let me know? ^_^ Thank you all!

Regarding Jina's post - Wasn't Tabloid Town's city hall destroyed, rather than Brassport? Then again, I failed the pay attention to Brassport's side of events in GW3, so they could have had their city hall destroyed as well. xD;
