Visitation: The TournamentVisitation is a silly little saga written by yours truly and partially illustrated by yours truly's dorky boyfriend. The actual purpose is still a little secret, but quite a few chapters have been released. Check the second post for links to them. You don't need to read them to get the gist of what's going on, but it will help. Plus I put a lot of effort into this, so yeah. xD The Current GoalThe Cardmaster is currently modifying the transmitter machine to broadcast one frequency to rule them all, which will put you at an advantage against your enemies. It needs to be powered by KOs from battles where the card's physical forms are activated. This will require a lot of organization and safety goggles. Your Task: Help us power up the transmitter device by accumulating as many KOs as you can. The cardmaster, that strange little fox and her sexy kitten companion will be keeping a close eye on everything. You may begin dueling immediately. Time Limit: Each duel should take you no longer than a week. ~ Ginz Round ThreeCurrent Pairings- Jina vs Drew

Rules and ScoringFirst RoundThe first round is Round Robin style. Every duelist will play everyone else once. Normal TCG rules and operations apply unless otherwise stated in this thread, and any in-game uncertainties must be bought to the Question thread for near-immediate resolution. Both Scar and I are keeping close watch over the duels and we both have copies of each player's decks. Your deck must remain unchanged throughout the tournament, but you are allowed to change the number allocation before each new duel if you so wish. You should always PM your deck to either Scar or myself before entering the duel so we can verify that your moves are in accordance with your deck. NOTE: Please put a [V] at the start of your duel thread to indicate it is a Visitation Tournament Duel. ScoringIn this first round, it is KOs that will score you points. Each KO is worth 1 point, so the winner of a duel will always get 4 points except in the event of NMF (no more fighter) victory. This message will self-destruct in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ...

Part Three: EnigmaThe tiny fox burst through the door and into a brightly lit room, her tiny body a mass of bristled red and silver fur. She looked around frantically, opened her mouth wide and called out in a desperate voice. “Scar!” The sound of scuffling and banging erupted from somewhere to her right and, in seconds, a fluffy black and white kitten tumbled through a door and flopped unceremoniously onto the floor. Recovering quickly, the kitten got up and sauntered over to the fox, flicking his tail playfully, a certain glint in his eyes. “Not today, Scar, we’ve got a problem,” she puffed, her heart racing. She lifted a paw and pulled at her ear, fidgeting and huffing. Scar licked her nose gently and curled his body around hers, pawing her back. “Shh, just relax. Calm down and tell me what’s wrong.” Sarinon took several deep breaths and closed her eyes, seeking composure. She found it and turned to face her Anam Cara. “There’s something I need to test …” ((Oh, what a mystery is this! I wonder what could be going on? Feel free to use this thread to discuss theories and make fun of me. ))

Part Four: SubstantialScar rushed down the hallway, a bunch of small cards clutched in his paws. He scooted around a corner, collided with the wall and then staggered dazedly over to Sarinon, offering her half of the cards he held. She took them cautiously, as if they were a grenade that might explode at any moment, and sat back on her haunches, eyeing her deck. She looked up at Scar who waited patiently. “We need to start a duel,” she said, “and I need to find out what’s going on with the cards.” The kitten looked confused, but when Sarinon refused to elaborate, he sat opposite her and shuffled his deck, drawing out his hand. “You start,” the fox murmured. Scar obligingly drew out a card. “I play Oscar Fea-“ He paused, his card hovering half way between his hand and the field. Sarinon was staring at his paw with a look of apprehension. “Dear, are you ok?” he asked, concerned. “Just play the card, Scar,” she breathed. “I play Oscar Featherstone as my active …” he placed the card down on the field. A familiar crackling sound followed by a static transparent outline and then a huge figure filled the air between Scar and Sarinon, rooted to the field. It was a life-size representation of Oscar Featherstone. It looked like a perfect replica of the man himself, seemingly solid and real. Scar yelped in shock and fell backwards, but Sarinon swiped at Oscar with a paw. It hit a chunk of solid Featherstone leg. “Its … real?” she mouthed, her eyes wide in a mixture of fear and awe. The figure of Oscar stood immobile and impassive. Sarinon quickly pulled a card from her hand. “I play Killix as my active and attach a Light energy to her.” As predicted, a solid image of Killix appeared opposite the image of Oscar. Scar had recovered somewhat, and his curiosity was fast outweighing his initial shock. He advanced slightly and caught Sarinon’s eye. “Attack with Killix,” he said. Sarinon gulped. “Killix uses Cactus Thwack … for 2 damage.” The figure of Killix obediently raised a prickly cactus and thwacked Oscar right in the face. The figure of Oscar gave only a slight reaction to acknowledge the attack. The two fighters returned to their impassive state while Sarinon and Scar stared with open mouths. “Wha ...?” garbled Scar. Internally, Sarinon was wondering the same thing.

XD If you check some of my doodles in my journal (the first page has an index) and my DeviantArt gallery, you'll see tons of Killix references. XD Either way, that picture is winner automatically for the fact that Killix is smacking someone in the face with her cactus. :'D

Part Five: ChaosPiercing screams and shouting filled the air and, in several places, loud bangs or clangs could be heard. Sarinon and Scar hurried outside and saw bedlam. Frightened duelists fled from the manifestation of their active fighters while others screamed or yelled as the images of cards attacked each other. In one area, half a wall had been turned into rubble while one duelist, Celestial, shouted at another. “Why the heck would you use Frag Grenade?” Sarinon’s face paled and she turned to Scar. “We need to do something …” she whispered, a sound barely audible over the panicked noises around them. Scar put his arms around her and hugged her tightly. “We’ll have to. But what should we do? People need to stop dueling, that’s for sure, and we need to figure out why this is happening and … Dear!” he exclaimed as Sarinon disentangled herself from him and started bounding away. “Where are you going?” he called, trying to chase after her. He collided with her when she stopped abruptly and barely held back a curse. “What are you …” he began, but she cut him off. “Do you remember the creation story? ‘In the beginning, there was a Card Creation Thread …’ and something about the card creator … Cardmaster someone. Do you remember?” “Huh? What? Oh, yes …” “Well, we’re going to find him.” “But … he’s an old cranky guy with too many dogs and athlete's foot reaching to his underwear! Which, by the way, are hideous bloomers that he hasn’t changed in years.” Sarinon gave him a look that could shatter mountains. Scar whimpered. “Ok! Let’s get it over with.”

...Would that last post about the things the cards do turning real explain the sudden drop in activity? xD

Part Six: Founder
The entire house creaked when Sarinon knocked gently on the door, its rickety frame, boarded up windows and overgrown garden belied the presence of life within. This was the abode of the Cardmaster and, although no one had seen him for many years, his continued presence among the living was evidenced by the empty mailbox nailed to the only upright fence post. If there was one thing the Cardmaster was known for, besides being the number one authority on the NTWF TCG, it was his ability to keep a clear inbox.
The two quadrupeds waited for a few minutes before Scar mentioned something about him not being home and that they should just go back and try to sort things out themselves. Sarinon glared at him until he fell silent before knocking once more. After another few minutes, Scar went and peeked through a gap in the boarded windows but couldn’t see anything inside. Desperate times called for desperate measures.
“Cardmaster!” called Sarinon through the thick and dusty front door. Still nothing. Scar, utterly fed up, marched over and banged repeatedly. “We know you’re in there so you had better open this door or …”
The door opened. Scar almost fell backwards, but Sarinon, foreseeing this, extended an arm to steady the kitten. The two of them gazed up at the shadowy figure.
He was a squat man with fluffy white hair that barely covered his head and a surprisingly thick mustache. More hair sprouted from his ears and a huge fuzzy eyebrow stretched over both of his deep-set eyes. He was bent and crooked, just like his walking stick, and his grey eyes found the two tiny creatures sitting on his doorstep. He smiled wryly.
“Young creature,” he wheezed, “I am an old man. It takes a while for me to reach my front door when I am summoned, so I would appreciate your patience on the matter.” Scar flushed as red as the fox’s fur. “Now, what can an old man like me do for you little critters?”
“Cardmaster … we need your help.” Sarinon explained briefly about the manifestations of TCG cards while the old man listened with a thoughtful expression, his brow furrowed, though this went unnoticed due to the strange excess of hair. “Well then,” the old man pulled a coat from a hook just beside his front door and slung it over his shoulders, “we had better do something about it.”
He brushed past Scar and Sarinon, closing his door behind him, and flew off down the street. The kitten and the fox scampered after him. By the time they returned, the duelists had had enough sense to cease their duels, and instead were making some effort at cleaning up the carnage. The Cardmaster took one look around and sighed deeply. He turned to the fox and the kitten.
“You two … round everyone up. We meet in the Great Hall in half an hour. Tell them to bring every card they own.”
