Card Creation
The first card that anyone should make (if you haven't already) is your forumer card. This card bears your name and is a representation of your forum persona which can be anything you like. However, the card must be a Common card. You can create Uncommon and/or Rare evolutions of your forumer card later.
Each card is given a certain number of points which you can spend on attacks, abilities, healing, status effects and suchlike. Please try to keep any cards you create NTWF-themed since this is the NTWF TCG. If you need ideas for cards, why not visit Memory Lane? Also, the point system is just a guideline, not strict rules. There are some cards that are a point or two over or under the suggested amount, just as long as they're not uber powerful or pathetically weak.
Unlike previous card lists, this one won't ever close off the creation process for good. Cards may continue to be created, but will be added in groups of 5 in order to keep an even number. A card is not official until I have edited it into the Official Card List.
Before you create any cards, please look at the card list and make sure that there are no cards that're the same or very similar to yours. Also, if the last card's number in an elemental category ends in a 9 or higher, submission for that particular card type is closed. The exception is forumer cards.
Point Allocation
Normal Cards
Common: 10 points
Uncommon: 15 points
Rare: 20 points
Forumer Cards
Common: 10 points
Uncommon: 18 points
Rare: 23 points
Attacks and Abilities
Note: In order for your text-form card to be easily made into a card image, please keep the text to a minimum.
Energy costs
1 elemental energy: 2 damage
1 colourless energy: 1.5 damage (rounded down)
In addition, any card that does 8 or more damage has to either have a one-turn delay or an energy discard. For a one-turn delay, average the damage it does over two turns. For example, the Dread Ship does 8 damage spread out over two turns, which only costs four points.[/spoiler]
Expansion Packs
This is a special offer made by the TCG organizers. If you are hosting a forum event and would like to, you may create some cards, fighters, and events, to be added to the card list in the form of a themed expansion pack. All you need to do is create some cards and PM them to me (Sarn) along with a date on which you would like the cards to be released. I will then review the cards and give you feedback. If there are no problems, I will then add the cards to the card list on the date specified.
There are, however, conditions. You must create a minimum of 5 cards and, because only 5 are added to the card list at a time, there will need to be a total that is divisible by 5 (5, 10, 15 ...), with a maximum of 25. You may include pre-existing cards in your expansion pack and these will not count towards your card numbers.
