I don't reccomend staring into it for prolonged periods of time, but glancing into it briefly wont hurt you. But oh so shiny. @.@ There's a few games in the games board that use the dice function (namely 1337 dice game). Also for...I dunno, raffles? Or choosing whether your character should try option 1 or option 2 to advance the story...I flip a coin a lot in roleplay when both options seem equally suited to the character, but I can't choose which to do. Though my question is: Can you tell what the result will be before posting it? Or do you have to post it, then go back and edit the post if you were basing something around your result? If you preview, it lets you see the result without having to edit anything.

-revives-
Ok, so a question again about college. I think I mentioned in my last post I want to go to medical school. Most likely I will become one of the 4: Oncologist, pediatrician, internal medicine, or general practitioner. But i'm confused on the process of how this works. My mom said that all of the above go to med school for 4-8 years, but...
Do I go straight to med school? Do I take 4 years of basic studies such as English, math, etc. and then med school for a total of 8-12 years?
And if I'm going into one of the above, what would be considered my major? And would would be my minor? :/
I'm just so confused about all this.

Well, I found a helpful guide about it online: www.bestpremed.com/hs.phpBut to summarize, you'd have to get a degree in college, and THEN go to med school, which yeah, means a lot of years in school. Though there supposedly ARE schools that combine college and med school for a total of 6 years, which kinda' cuts out 2 of the years of pre med college. Yeah, that site should be pretty helpful for an overall jist.

Okay, here's one..
Say you know someone is a BSing liar. But she only does her BS when other people are not in the room, so most folks believe she's a very nice person....when she's really not.
Then she goes and lies to some of your close friends, telling them YOU'VE been the lying, manipulative one. You know sooner or later, if they continue their friendship with her, she's going to betray them just like she did you. Do you try to convince your friends of that (when they likely won't believe you) or do you just let them be and hope when the betrayal comes it won't destroy them too badly?

Aizar-- I have no advice for that, sorry. ):
Nat-- Science is still out on that question! I mean depending on what personality trait, it's going to be variable. Plus since there's the whole question of "nature vs. nurture," it's not even certain whether, say, you're nice because your parents DNA was nice or you're nice because your parents raised you to be nice.
There's a whole lot of research on this, much of which might contradict what I'm saying-- but that's not a silly question at all. Science has thought about it a lot.

Oh, good. :3 A few people were debating on another forum about a book, and I was wondering what to reply when someone retorted to another person that you can't inherit personality.

This seems like something more suited to the banter board.

Can you inherit personality traits? ._. Well, I certainly believe so. Like, when it comes to tipping waitresses, my dad and I both like to tip an amount that causes the total bill to round to the whole dollar. :B I didn't learn it from him, because I never saw him do that as a kid, but discovered that he did the same thing when I was filling out the tip section at a restaurant once. And my sister is like our mom's twin or something, they're so identical in personality. If it was just a "nurture" thing, you'd think I'd have picked up more of my mom's traits too, since I hung out with my mom more than my dad. And, as much as I hate a lot of the stuff he does, I share a lot of personality traits with my dad. I mean, I suppose some of it is nurturing, but I definitely believe part of a person's personality has to come from genetics, at least in part. After all, don't dog breeds have common personality traits that run in those breeds? If it wasn't genetic, wouldn't it be harder for people to label the traits of a certain breed?

Can you inherit personality traits? ._. I know other people answered too, but yeah, you can. ^_^ One example I really like is a true story of two parents put their baby son up for adoption or.. I dunno, something like that, and then the mother saw the grown-up child and was completely blown away of how he acted just like his father, even though they never grew up with each other. :3

Hahaha, Komori, I've never met a person other than myself who does the whole rounding tips to the whole dollar thing!!! Everyone I go out thinks I'm crazy! . Glad I'm not alone.

D: We don't give tips here, and I have no idea how to do tips if I were to ever go someplace where they do.

I always give tips to round to the whole Euro, except for the times that the tip is small enough, so I may add another half Euro as well.

How do college degrees work? If it says you need 60 credits, can those credits be in any subject? And if you need specific credits like Math and Writing, how do you tell how many of those you need?
For the record, college websites are the worst organized websites I've ever seen x.x
