Bwahaha. I can't let go of this, even if I know that I'm going to epically fail at it like last year xD Third's time the charm, I guess. Meet Kyle. Kyle is an ordinary kid living in an ordinary world of an obscure city located somewhere in the Eastern hemisphere of the globe. Kyle likes being average. He likes his average grades, his average life, his average interests. He really doesn't want anything else.
But then everything changes.
It's a semi-dark and stormy night when Kyle is suddenly woken up by something slamming into his bedroom window. He opens it, since he's curious to see what had hit his window, and is greeted by a bright light of pure power and awesomeness. A fairy-spirit called Elsie flutters in, slaps the Glove of Heroes on Kyle, and declares him the Chosen Hero of some little-known prophecy.
There's only one problem though.
Elsie chose the wrong person.
Oops.
But it's too late to take the Glove off now. It's stuck on Kyle, and there's no way to remove it. So now, with the wrong Chosen Hero, Elsie has to help tutor Kyle on becoming the said hero and help him defend Earth from other-dimensional beings called Starbeings, as well as to keep him alive and well from other jealous would-be-heroes who want to take his place and the mysterious organization called J.U.I.C.E.
And so begins an adventure to save the universes.

Kyle- Your usual high-school kid who's unwillingly dragged into an adventure. He's rather upset at Elsie's intrusion into his life, and tries to avoid all the tasks she lobs at him the best he can.
Elsie- A fairy-spirit-thing who's sent down by the Records Keeper to fulfill a prophecy in order to graduate from her school. She was eager to make a name out of herself, so, after much arguing, she convinced the Records Keeper to give her one of the bigger prophecies to fulfill. She's idealistic and pompous, and usually overreacts over things.
Kyle's Sister- She's the younger sister of Kyle, and is always serious, and rarely smiles. She's great at demoralizing people, and almost always speaks in a monotone.
Kyle's Brother- He's the older brother of Kyle and his sister, and takes place of their frequently absent mother. He cooks, he cleans, and he nags his siblings to no end. He frequently frets over Kyle's safety.
Cyril- Cyril could be considered a rival of Kyle's, as he was originally supposed to be the Chosen Hero. He's a rather strange teenage boy, being the head of one of the biggest crime families in the city, thanks to his father passing his inheritance down to him. He loves the piano, and can be found sleeping in the music room often. Elsie's rival, Nussi, found Cyril and equipped him with the Hat of Heroes.
Nussi- Nussi is Elsie's rival, and has been that way since childhood. This fairy-spirit-thing takes her responsibilities much more seriously and has a very short temper, as she can't stand any type of laziness or slacking off.
Samuel- Kyle's friend. He prefers to be called by his full first name, and gets touchy if anyone tries to give him a nickname. He's your classic nerd, complete with large glasses and large vocabulary.
Capricorn- The main villain in this story. He's one of the more powerful Starbeings, and wants to, of course, control the world. (Bwahahaha.)
The C.E.O.- The secondary villain in this story. This mysterious person is the head of the J.U.I.C.E. company/organization, and is dead-set on collecting all the items/people relating to prophecies. Apparently, this person is rather rich, and often spends a lot of money trying to hunt down and capture the said items/people. More characters might jump in during the course of the story, yah :P

Yay! NaNoWriMo starts! And so far, I have 847 words, lol.
It's so bad when I reread it, and I really feel like I should go back and write it all over again, but I can't. Gotta plunge on through the cheesy parts xD

Owow. I surprised myself by writing over 1000 words in my journal. I'm actually writing my NaNoWriMo story in a journal, so that my mom won't complain that I spend too much time on the computer, so I'm actually surprised at the progress I've made. Now that I think of it, I actually like the characters and concept, so that's why I'm writing so much xD Ha ha, the first chapter is made of such epic fail that I'm going to edit the heck out of it when NaNoWriMo is over. It doesn't even relate to the events in chapter two xD EDIT: Random excerpt of doom, yes, because I love this part when I reread it. Elsie tilted her head at him, and then gave a cheery smile. "Oh, I"m so sorry Kyle-Not-Rile! You see, I gave you the all-powerful Glove of Leo, a destructive weapon that contains great power that can destroy or save the world. It used to belong to the Starbeing Leo, of course, and it's supposed to be passed onto Leo's descendant. But," Elsie sighed, "I accidentally chose you. But it's okay. I can get it off."
Kyle blinked, unsure of what exactly Elsie had said. "Uh..." he began, "how are you going to get it off...?"
Elsie gave a very very big, friendly smile. "Oh, it's really simple." She unsheathed her sword. "I'll have to kill you."
"WHAT?!" Kyle shouted in horror, backing up.
"I have to, you see. The Glove can't come off unless the wearer dies. I promise I'll be quick!"
"No, no, wait--!"
It was too late. Elsie charged at him, stabbing at his stomach. Kyle barely dodged her shots, screaming in sheer panic as he did so. "Please hold still, Kyle-Not-Rile!" Elsie chirped cheerfully. "You're only making it worse for yourself!"
"What kind of request is that?!" Kyle reacted a second too late and was stabbed in the arm. He yelped in pain and fell over. Elsie hopped after him.
