Translation: The impossible attempted.
I already know what I'm going to write about. I don't doubt that I will be able to finish it, but there's no way I'm going to be able to stretch out to 50k words.
That's because I'm gonna be stuipid and write a Neopian Times story. I'm going to have to write a lot of extra back story and stuff to get it anywhere near 50k. Oh well. The story needs to be told.

Here's the plot.
Lirishka is a 24 year old Kougra who loves mountain climbing. When one of the other pets in the family brings home a wizard, Lira packs up and leaves within the hour. This is because magic is her greatest fear.
A few years before, she lived with her brother, Vam. He was a wizard who claimed he was working on a dangerous project to make life better for everyone in Neopia. Lira, being naive and carefree at the time, agreed to keep his project a secret. But one day, the Defenders came and knocked down their door to get to Vam. He attacked and tried to flee, but they caught him. Lirishka had been injured in the fighting and when she came to, they explained to her that Vam had been working to free the Darkest Faerie and bring her to rule over Neopia. She assumed that her brother had been executed, and from that day has hated magic.
Now that another wizard has come around, Lirishka rushes to leave on a climbing expedition that she is far beyond her level. She decides that she will attempt to climb the undeveloped side of Terror Mountain.
Lirishka soon realizes that she had come unprepared when she becomes sick, due to a lack of some important nutrients and dehydration. She falls asleep, not expecting to wake up again.
But she does wake up, and finds that she has been saved by a pair of mysterious Lupes. It turns out these Lupes are the two greatest sorcerers to exist since her brother was alive. And they've been tracking Lirishka until they have found a good time to kidnap her.
They need her because, since she was related to Vam, she also has the ability to become a great sorcerer, possibly even more powerful than her brother. The Darkest Faerie has escaped, and the spell needed to destroy her can only be cast by someone who has great, untouched stores of magic. This event is Lirishka's worst nightmare, and she fights them every step of the way.
But things can only get worse for her, because of a deal the Lupes, Yangire and Yingenna, made with the Darkest Faerie. They were to find the greatest wizard they could, and meet the Darkest at the top of Terror Mountain, who has her own great wizard. These two wizards will have to battle each other for supremacy.
Thing is, there is only one pet who could possibly have the same amount of magic within them as Lira, and he was supposed to be dead. Lirishka will have to duel her brother, Vam.
The entire story is going to be written in diary format, so we'll see how this goes. |

Because I'm just so amazingly productive, I've decided that this story's theme song is Greater Lights by Charlotte Martin, mostly of how it ties into Yangire and Yingenna's roles as Light and Dark. I'll attempt to explain them later today.
