So, the Guild Meetings brought up the possibility of duels. Talking is all well and good, but let's see if we can get any interest going. It's simple. Skim through the thread and see if there's anyone you'd like to duel, or anyone asking to duel with you. If not, say you want to duel. If you have more than one character, state which one(s) you want to fight. If there's another character in particular who you want to fight, say so. Let's give this a few days before the duels begin. When we're ready, each pair will make a separate thread for their fight.
Note: Once you have a confirmed duel with someone else, it might be a good idea to outline some general rules of engagement beforehand. What weaponry and protection will you be using? Is it a friendly fight or a hostile one? Canon or not? Will you assume that every attack hits its mark, or will you allow your partner leeway to decide whether s/he takes the hit or dodges?
Confirmed pairs: Fraze and Hunty--The Lovers' Spat Celestial and Aly--Fighting Fire with Fire

Will you be selling tickets? ^_^ *brick'd*
On a serious note, I wouldn't mind having a duel with somebody, although I'd like to keep it friendly. But it would just be Celestial since The Author does have the disadvantage of not being real, Leste is dead and my Steampunk characters aren't fully developed.

I'm open to doing more than one fight at once, so I'll still put my name out. Particularly, a fight with Rider would be fun, just for the merciless teasing on both sides. Will you be selling tickets? ^_^ *brick'd* On a serious note, I wouldn't mind having a duel with somebody, although I'd like to keep it friendly. It was going to be fre--uhh...Yes! Indeed! Tickets! They're twenty shines for adults and non-humans of all ages, ten for human children ages 13 and below. The little ones get in free.

I'd be up for duels with any of my characters: Hades (vampire merc once of the 'fleet), Shade (half-demon knight), and (once I finish creating him) Jaiah (Jay, my new knightly character. Archer/trapper based, for the most part. Subject to change, as I'm not done with him yet.).

Jina wants to fight a ninja. Owen will fight anyone.

Woah, the stakes just got upped. Fifty-fifty or winner gets all the ticket money? Yeah, I think I'll keep the rest of my character batch out of this, but if anyone else wants to have a go at the Cap'n in particular, just let me know. I'll be a little on the busy side until the end of the week but it should get better come Monday.

Still not nearly enough for all the work involved. *Cough* Sooooo I guess you can take it all. No objections, I'm sure.

I'm in with Draco for now. I don't really care who I battle

I'm in with any one of my characters: Aly, Ro, Asta, and even Lika as a separate character (I need to figure out how she battles. Maybe with human form.)
And Celestial, I'll challenge you with Aly. ^^ I wanna see mage against mage, and I think I should be able to go all-out with fire against you.
Ro's up for going against anyone with a sword or similar close-range weapon. Hunty want to go? ^^

Ro's up for going against anyone with a sword or similar close-range weapon. Hunty want to go? ^^ If you want ^^ Because the Sue-sword has a built-in shield system. Unless you fight with a sword and a shield, it'd be a little unfair. (Then again, Hunty's idea of swordplay is 'hold the blunt end and stick the sharp end in people' so it might even out regardless.)

Shade's melee, if Ro wants to fight her. ^^ ..Hades can fight either melee or ranged; he just prefers range.
Can I make a suggestion? I know that we all know our own characters well, but some of us (aka, me) are too lazy to go look up the profiles of people's characters. Could you give a brief description of your character (something like I did for mine would be enough) to aid people in choosing their opponents? Even if I know what Celestial and Hunty's characters are like, I don't know Jina or Draco's. So yeah, that'd be nice. And then we could compile all the people who might be fighting into a nice list in the first post, just to make it easier. Maybe organise it by Guild, or something. *shrug*

Ooh, a duel...Will there be concessions available, I hope? XD
I'd like to volunteer two of my characters if I could; Wil and Rivanth. Or maybe Liyer, too...
Wil can fight with a sword, but isn't a master at it, exactly. He prefers his cane over everything else, though. It's basically a quarterstaff-type thing. Also has a knife hidden away for emergencies... He can usually dodge some blows, but super quick strikes or attacks from behind may disorient him a bit.
Rivanth is a mage, obviously, and a good one at that. He's studied the darker types of magic for many years, preferring offensive or stealthy attacks over defensive spells. Not very easy to sneak up on.
And if anyone's interested in hand-to-hand combat(does that count as a duel?), I've also got Liyer. He specialized in some street fights and such back in the day before being cursed by a witch and having everything pretty much go downhill after that. Very agile and quick, impossible to attack from behind unless you're very swift about it. Sometimes can be a bit too reckless and ignore any wounds he may get, though.
...Okay, I hope that gives you guys some info on the charries who want to duel. Just pick whichever one you want.

I'd like to volunteer with Subcommander Haggoth. He's not very mobile by any means, but he has a loooot of Spacefleet weaponry. If you need practice against technology-based attacks, he's your man. ^_^
As an added bonus, a fight against him will take place on top of a moving underground train. I could totally see him in a situation like that. x3 (And on that note, guys, be creative with your stage selections. ^_^ A little bit of a stage introduction in the first post goes a long way towards making a fight interesting and fun.)

Huntress: Ro's trained with a longsword and shield, though she's even better with a shortsword (I made note of that first part because I specifically remembered that I made a shield for her, so she'd better know how to fight with one. XD) She'd also got chainmail for some protection. Shade: Ooh, that'd be nice. Ro vs. Shade. Knight practice! Uhhh...right, brief profiles. Aly: Fire magic (close and ranged), melee (hand-to-hand), ranged (bow and arrow). Fire-proof. Magic usually supplements other things, and she fights at any range. Only problem is that she can't use a sword beyond holding it and walking forward. Ro: Melee (sword/shield, shortsword, some hand-to-hand), some ranged (bow and arrow). Also has chainmail, sometimes plate armor (but only for a very good reason). Asta: Melee (shortsword), short-ranged (small capsules with varying effects), alchemy (literally, changing elements into other elements). Lika: No idea. I will say that she can switch to human form if needed. ^^ (It's something that's an option, but it almost never comes up).
