I imagine everyday life for the pirates would involve a lot of pillaging towns that are too small to defend themselves but big enough to be worth the effort. Most days would be spent of the ship, getting from place to place. Some would be spent in Tabloid Town or some comparably shady city, selling the loot to them who don't ask questions. So far, just about every RP has begun with the pirates on shore leave in Tabloid Town, so I can understand why people forget that we pillage. ...has not, GW3 is the first time, and Tabloid Town only ever entered the picture in Redemption. In the early roleplays, we started out on Krawk Island and nondescript harbor towns chasing undefined plots that never got anywhere. Goooood times. Anyway, that's the problem with everyday life. We don't, in fact, have one. We have those big plots where epic stuff happens, and inbetween those there's silence. All those small events we have really don't define everyday life much (unless we all really play random crap poker and have meepits race each other all day). In other words, there's not much regular guildishness going on. Not much that'd define us as guilds. And not much that'd really give newbs a reason to join because even if they have a huge interest in pirates/ninjas/knights/whathaveyou, they wouldn't really have any way to actually express it in the guild. So even if we're to advertise and such, we'd still have to make sure first that the newcomers have a reason to stick around. I do like Celestial's idea, though. Might get horribly stereotypical, but all the funner that way :3

So much so that it would become a parody.

So much so that it would become a parody. Sounds fun. I can imagine someone who is not used to the Ninja Dojo (which is just about everyone but Ninjas) getting caught in hidden traps or lost in dead end hall ways and such. All while on the duty to fetch a bucket of water or something simple ^^ Every day life for a Ninja... For the most part, and this is just my view right now, is we stick to the shadows. Kind of the spies of the NTWF. There might be Ninja's all over the NTWF watching what is going on, or possibly sleeping since none report in Other then that, keep to ourselves at the Dojo, train, clean, normal stuff. Go down to Tabloid Town or visit others from time to time. But if the Knight's are the protectors from the front, Mages from the side? (can't think of how to put that:P), the Ninja's are the ones who are in the shadows of them and possibly the enemy waiting for their move. Then you got the main character (real forum member) Ninjas. Who at the moment, train and get into all sorts of trouble along with the rest of the NTWF Guild Members ^^;

The nice thing about the Knights is that as a guild, it's decidedly structured (...well, ideally, it would be), because all members of the guild are part of a strict order, and there are all kinds of rules that can be imposed on them. Their whole days can be scripted, if we wanted to make it that way. It would just take a bit of planning. Shade, if you need any manual labour or someone to bounce ideas off of... <3 You know where to find me. There's a lot to fix up with the Knights, and you shouldn't have to do it alone. Some of Hunty's old GWI/II (can't remember which) really stuck with me. I think the Knights are kind of the big busybody force in the guildverse -- always sticking their noses in everyone else's problems in the name of morality and justice, often where they're not wanted. That opens up a lot of interesting possibilities for inter-guild relations. We've got the self-righteous Knights, who are presumed to have an entire army behind them (...we should probably figure out some things about that, too), who seem to, in general, love the whole world and feel responsible for its protection; and we have a bunch of guilds that don't particularly want to be ruled, however good the Knights' intentions are. Unfortunately, the Knights have so much power that it's hard to argue with them, which can be expected to breed a bit of resentment in the other guilds. Thank you for this, Tamia. I think you said most of this better than I could've. ((To be honest, I'm half dead right now; school and all.)) I'll probably poke you somewhere come the weekend when I have time. Yes, the army. That we forgot about in our last roleplay. xD ...but yeah. We're the paladins of the world, really. Though we are rather respectful of the mages, I'd imagine, simply because they have the power to blow us to smithereens if they wanted. The rest of you.. I doubt you'd get as much respect as you'd like. Especially the pirates who bombed our castle and raid Dunburrow's coasts. ^_^

The members get together and make a world the guild interacts with on a regular basis. (Mages write about the types of magic and make a kind of general magical theory, Pirates talk about various islands and other piratey groups, etc.) That might help figure out what each guild does when other guilds aren't around.

Assuming I had time, I'd try to roughly map out Dunburrow. But I doubt I'll have the time until spring break, which isn't for a while. xD ...if any of the other Knights wants to, go ahead. Just make sure it's consistent with everything roleplays have said as best you can.

I am unsure why I have been given this task, because he is only a janitor. Today he sat around reading a magazine, like he always does. I would rather follow the other members, they are more interesting with their starving and looking for money... Wait, something is going on! I heard a explosion or something! The janitor! He's been given a order, a real order! The other members have left, and he's about to press a button! Steampunk can talk about their newest inventions, ninjas could... Gossip? Might need to rethink what the ninjas do there <.< But yeah. Sounds like a good idea. Edit: Oh, and I declare Ninja #332's log entry canon.

I'm not entirely sure Knight!Tamia really even believes in Spacefleet. xD I mean, these psychopaths come from the stars, talk funny, set off some light shows and knock a bunch of people out with some bizarre weapon or another... the practical knight assumes it's trickery. Some sort of magic. Foreigners who take the people of Dunburrow to be fools.
But at the same time, I have no idea what kind of a repertoire has been built up between the members of each guild, since I haven't been following roleplays for a good while. xP What do other Knights think about Spacefleet at this point?

I declare Mages to be more capable of blowing things to pieces and generally causing carnage than either 'Fleet or the Knights. *Shot. Many, many times* Pyra. XD I don't even want to TRY to tackle how magic works across the Mages Guild. I mean, I could write up an explanation for MY universe's magic system, but other than that... I would be interested in general descriptions or summaries or pointers (maybe with strengths and weaknesses) for some things, like elements and maybe things like mental powers and shapeshifting. That might be an interesting reason to have duels within the Mage Guild anyway--research! EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure why Ro or Aly or Lika have any reason to really believe in Spacefleet either. XD Whoops. I guess they've just adapted? There are a few semi-modern/modern people in Mage Manor, after all.

As far as I'm aware, the Knights really haven't had much chance to interact with Spacefleet at all. XD; ...So I dunno if they really have any particular opinions. Of course, I'm no Knight, so I guess I probably don't know what I'm saying.
As for the everyday life topic... for PFA (or the Ninjas if you prefer), I tend to imagine training room training, the occasional random mission, and eating ramen noodles. XD The Mercs, meanwhile, seem to either be taking random jobs (which can range from anything between assassinating someone and taking out the trash in my mind), or doing random bored things in their HQ--munching on peanut butter and trying to get the TV to work seem to be common themes. And of course I'm referring to before the base-exploding incident, but you know.
Certainly could be fun to have a thread to post random "diary entries" about the everyday life of a guildee. :3 It'd be like a "what we do when we're not trying to stop the world from blowing up" type thing.
