((I've seen that done in GW (or at least the first) but I was already using italics for thoughts, so... yeah. I thought I'd just put it like that. *shrug* It's a beginners roleplay, it isn't supposed to matter much. XD Okay, this is my last fully OOC post, I promise. >_>))

((GW has so many different plots going on that it's often necessary to say who and what you're replying to, and it's easiest to do that by pasting what other people say in italics. It doesn't really matter to me whether or not we use italics/quote boxes here, but I don't know if it's strictly necessary with an RP of this size. Though I suppose if you're trying to catch up with the RP after several days of not posting and have a lot to respond to, it would probably be easiest and least confusing--both for you and the people reading--to use italics or quote boxes. Also, what are we imagining the edge of IRL looks like? I see it as being something like Platform 9 3/4: a doorway that you can see from the inside, but not the outside. Maybe just a doorway that isn't surrounded by anything, just standing somewhere--that is, if you walk through it you go to IRL, but if you just walk around it you stay in the NTWF. That seems like it would fit well with the generally-accepted layout of the NTWF, but I'd like to know how other people see it.))
Fraze picked up his backpack, slung it over his shoulders, and followed Ginz. As he walked, he put the finishing touches on his origami flower. This might have been disconcerting to anyone who wanted to talk to him, but he always seemed to be able to divide his attention perfectly well.
When they got to the high doorway separating the NTWF from IRL, nothing seemed very different. All the colors on the other side seemed a bit more dull than those inside--but it always seemed that way to Fraze, and he knew it was probably just his imagination. For a second, he was so lost in thought about how perfectly normal the edge of IRL looked that he completely forgot what Ginz had said about it. He was quickly reminded about the barrier, though, when he walked into it. He staggered backward several steps, nearly falling over before he regained his balance. He accidentally tightened his grip on the newly-finished flower, squishing it a bit. Fraze had always believed that the best way to recover from doing something foolish was to act as though you meant to do it. "Yup," he proclaimed to anyone who wanted to listen. "Definitely a barrier. A bit tactless of it to wedge itself right where we want to go, though. Didn't its mother teach it any manners?" Feeling that he had made light of the situation enough, he stepped forward again, this time reaching his hand out. He felt something pushing back where he only saw air. It wasn't hot or cold, just there. Carefully, he pushed harder, but it wouldn't move. Not wanting to be deterred just yet, he took a pencil from his backpack and threw it at the barrier. Not surprisingly, it bounced off and clattered to the ground. While picking it up again he said, "Well, that's all I can think of. I try not to work my brain this hard on the weekend. Does anyone else have any ideas?"

Kathleen had to jog to keep up as Ginz finished what she was saying, and the group made its way toward the Border, striding fast across the dusty floor.
When she squeezed her way to the front of what was now a fairly large crowd, Fraze was throwing a pencil at the space between the Border, and saying something very loudly. Once at the front, Kathleen hung back slightly, unsure of what to do. The Border into IRL looked as it always did. She knew most people saw it differently, but for her the soft colours of the NTWF bled gently into the harsher, sharper lines of IRL, the cold reality awaiting her release from dream-land. Tentatively, she side-stepped Fraze, and put a hand out. Her fingers met with resistance. It felt something like a balloon stretched taut, yet there was no obvious barrier, and on the other side, RL was as clear as it had ever been. Seeing it gave Kathleen a strange pang of longing. She was surprised; she should probably be jumping with joy to know that she couldn’t leave the NTWF. But somehow it didn’t feel right.

Squiesh adjusted her rainbow headband as she made her way toward the doorway to the NTWF. She hummed as she added a little hop to her step, sucking on a popsicle. A wide grin spread out on her face as she came closer to the border, and she quickened her pace to a slight jog.
The girl hesitated when she saw a group of NTWFers come into view. They seemed to be discussing something, which was odd because there was rarely a crowd near the border. Squiesh recognized Ginz, Kathleen, and Christos -- Fraze was there too, holding a pencil in his hand.
"Huh. Some sort of project going on or something?" She blinked thoughtfully, poking at her mouth with a finger.
Squiesh then looked behind her suspiciously, feeling as if there was some sort of presence behind her. She shrugged it off, not wanting to let herself look troubled, and then trudged right ahead into the NTWF. Squiesh poked her head through the clear barrier first, then stepped all the way in.
"Nehh? What are you guys talking about? And looking at?"

(Admin trance = when using the admin powers... Couldn't think of something else xDDDD)
Christos stayed there looking at Fraze. He finally decided he would go find Patjade, and the best place to find her was the Mod Squad. "Ok, I am heading south, to the Mod Squad to find Patjade. Although if she is working on something big, she would be in the Admin trance..." he said and turned towards some others. "Anyone coming with me?
(Gonna PM Pat EDIT: She said she won't be able to participate, so anyone willing to play as Pat?)

Ginz giggled at Fraze's joke, and it made her feel less tense, but she couldn't ignore the fact that the barrier was indeed there for everyone.
She stood there silently as her friend asked if anyone had other ideas. She didn't. She wished she still had offensive magic powers like she used to, but she had changed them not long ago, to learn more about the art of healing and defense.
Instead she stood and stared trying to think what could have caused the barrier... or who. And then suddenly, she saw Squiesh's head pop in, followed by the rest of her body. Ginz was pulled out of her thoughts and gasped.
"Squiesh!" Ginz exclaimed, only it wasn't her usual cheerful greeting, but one of surprise. "You could get in!" In any other moment it would have been stating the obvious, but Ginz didn't feel it was this time.

Christos was already in the middle of his walk to the Mod Squad, when he found Patjade without paying any attention to the Tabloid town, that was empty. "Patjade! The one I was searching for," Christos said and tried to look less worried. "Christos, nice to meet you here. I would usually find you in your Heroes club, but anyway...what were you searching me for?" she asked as she started to question about the empty Tabloid Town."We have a serious problem...And we hoped you had something to do with it," Christos said and continued, "are you working on something huge on the site, and you blocked the door to RL?" "No, nothing to do with it..." she said and her eyes widened. This meant that the NTWF was glitchy, and she needed to do something about it. "Listen, I will go into Admin trance, and let you know what I learn," she said and left, leaving Christos on its own.He decided to return back to the others, and see if they had found anything. (Please someone, take Patjade xDDD I can't really RP with myself )

Xanme watched the others poking at the barrier, wondering if this was really real or just some good miming. She then watched Squiesh come in. 'Barriers usually stop people from going through, right?' she thought to herself.
She had to check this out for herself. Stepping up to the portal, Xan tapped on it lightly with her staff. "Hrm..." The blue mage drew in a deep breath and spat a couple fireballs at it, but they seemed to scatter on contact. "Open sesame alreadeeeey!" She pounded furiously on the barrier.
"What gives? This some kind of cruel prank or something?" Her look of curiosity turned to worry as she slumped to the ground.

Goosh followed the group silently towards the border between RL and the NTWF. He was wondering what was going on. It didn't seem likely that Ginz was imagining things, and when Fraze threw a pencil at the invisible barrier, he grew concerned. What was going on?
There was now a bit of a crowd around the doorway, and shock as Squiesh stepped into the NTWF. So the barrier was one way? Goosh pushed himself to the front of the crowd and lightly knocked on the solid barrier. It defied texture totally. It felt like nothing.
Christos volunteered to get Patjade. It seemed like a good idea, but Goosh wanted to stay here and see what happened.

Zari melted through the barrier, to the rather onorthodox greeting of many worried faces. 'Yeah. 1am. Naughty Zari. I should head back.' She turned, and bumped into the barrier. 'Hey!' indignation crept into her usually soft and pleasant voice, making it louder. 'I've got a Hiragana test to do last-minute revision on. Have the admins locked us in? Am I dreaming? Awdamn.'
Zari flailed, her various weapons of mass despleening and gutting falling out of her satchel. The various sharp things flew back into the small bag, but not before Zari stopped flailing. 'What in the name of Groundbound Leopard Guitarists is going on?' she sounded unusually tetchy, tugging her fluffy brown ear in frustration.

"Guys!" Christos shouted as he was running back to the barrier, "guys, I have really important news..." he said and stop to breath as he had gone closer to the rest.
"Patjade has nothing to do with this!" he said, changing the one of his voice so he won't be heard like it is a big deal. "But she said she will look further into it...Sorry, that's all I could bring!" Christos said and looked at the barrier, that himself saw as a half-meter wall...

Kathleen jumped when Squiesh came in, apparently with ease, sucking her Popsicle. Then she had watched Zari's rather strange and annoyed entrance. But didn’t barriers usually work both ways? This was definitely strange. Kathleen pulled nervously at one of her earrings as Zari’s various tools clattered about, jumping back slightly as the sharp instruments flew wildly.
The sound of Christos' voice made Kathleen turn to see him jogging back, looking worried. "Patjade has nothing to do with this!" He cried. Kathleen could hear that he was obviously trying to sound like it was no big deal, but was worried all the same. He went on to say something else, but Kathleen was no longer listening. Her brain was going frantically, trying to make sense of it. So Pat had nothing to do with a mysterious barrier that had just sprung up in the doorway to IRL. Then what about the other mods or admins? Was this some kind of joke the more irresponsible ones thought funny?
“Who would think it was funny to trap people inside the NTWF?” Kathleen said, thinking aloud. “Or is it just an accident?”

Fraze watched as first Squiesh, then Zari stepped through the doorway into the NTWF. Several people commented that barriers usually work both ways. "Maybe it's more like a door to a house," Fraze said, struggling for an analogy. "You can lock and unlock the door from the inside, but you can't get in from the outside if it's locked. Unless you have a key or break a window, that is."
In response to Kathleen he said, "I don't want to think that this was someone's prank. Doing things like saying Rider is a zombie, or making a fake takeover of the NTWF are all well and good, since they don't really cause any real damage. But blocking the way out of the NTWF could be truly dangerous. I mean, someone could miss an appointment, or there could be a medical emergency, or--" He stopped his train of thought, realizing that he shouldn't be spinning tales of doom like that.
"Either way," he picked up, "maybe it would be a good idea to put something up on this side to keep people from getting in. I like being with all of you, but I'd rather not be trapped with you."

Zari's ears folded back, and she hissed at the barrier. It wasn't often that her ocelot traits showed in her manner, but this wasn't exactly the best of times. 'It's 1am at home. In six hours, my parentals will be wondering what the heck is going on. I know that while I'm in the NTWF, My self outside stays as per normal, but without the personality and the innocent sparkleshine.' She tugged severely on her left ear, still staring at the barrier.
'If I get stuck here, I might end up sleeping in the ceiling and despleening someone for the sake of it.' she grimaced. 'I may be a technician, but yeah. There's only so much I can do, and that's when I know what I'm dealing with.'

"But what can we do to inform the NTWFers outside to call someone, or DO something?" Christos questioned after he heard what the rest had to say. "As we saw, the pencil can't get through, so how is a big sign going to pass?" he giggled an though...
"What if we call a Mage?"
