To everyone but Skaa, the noise seems to be coming from the direction of the forest. Skaa, you have no clue where it's coming from. But it's strange... like it's not being carried on the wind, but somehow being carried under it. It's reminescent of the kind of noise only dogs can hear, and indeed, off in the distance you can hear the incessant barking of some farmer's watchdog. There's a full moon starting to rise so light isn't a problem, at least not while you're out in the open. Mimian appears at the back door of the kitchen. She doesn't appear to notice anything unsual. "Ya all going out?" she asks, "Might want to bring your swords and stuff. Heard there's wolves or something prowling. Devith was just saying he lost three of his cattle this past week. While you're at it, if you see Bronos send him inside. He hasn't done his chores yet." *gathers all of my weapons, ALL of them* "WHAT? I'm always ready! *8 weapons I think* Ya, let's go, hurry hurry! I don't want to wait forever, this music is pleasant!" |

Skaa also gathers her weapons. As she runs back out of the tavern, she asks Rolanan, "But where's it coming from?"
((Oh. Wait. Eight intelligence. I have to sound less educated. :/))

Skaa, Azuriel, you know the terrain around here like the back of your hands. It dips into a depression along which a shallow stream runs around the southern edge of the town. Beyond that is the forest which stretches for miles. A road is carved through it altough the forest seems reluctant to allow that intrustion. Merchants using it often complain of the poor quality of the trail.
The stream itself cuts through the forest as well, eventually joining a larger river that runs noth-east. That's always been a good landmark to navigate by when entering the forest. It's easy to get lost in there.

Skaa pauses, struck dumb for a few seconds. Then she runs after the offending elf, "I'll claw yer eyes out, elf! Then a troll'll be easier on the eyes to ye."
((... Did I just make Skaa insult herself?))

Rolanan, you make it into the tree with amazing ease. It's all barky and treelike. Yay. You have a good view of the fields around you from here but the bulk of the town is blocked by the back of the tavern. You can also see the stream.
((*beats head on desk* I have GOT to stop rolling nat 20's!))
You also see a small figure slipping down into the depression that surrounds the stream. Heading for the forest.

Azuriel nods and motions for the rest to follow as she heads in the direction of the stream. "It's a dangerous forest, let's go send Bronos in before he gets into trouble."
(I have a tangat war blade if that's alright, if not then just a simple scimitar.)
