Saluted her general briefly and motioned for him to take a seat "I've summoned you here early because you and I are the only ones who know that the boy Hjary is part of our mission over the course of battle. We can't let the others know because they'll be more than willing to put a prize on his head if they knew he were alive rather than obey my orders." Diae sighed and looked donw at the small black wood trinket in her palm "And we absolutely need him in a live state if we're to reach or final goal. But to follow through with all that seems nearly impossible." ***** Tessa finally reached her destination but had a hard time making out everything through the sparse firelight. Nevertheless she inched forward as a small wafting of fresh cooked food drifted through the air. She hadn't gotten too far when she suddenly heard shouting arise from the nearest campfire and before she knew it a horde of Drow soldiers were dragging the wailing girl off into their camp.

((I don't remember where I was at all, so I'll just start at a random point. That ok?)) Arajay walked boldly into the Drow camp, knowing that if you acted confident, people respected you more. She knew she'd still be stopped, but that didn't matter.

Kaythar was surprised that he was the one chosen to keep guard, but did so anyway.
When he spotted Arajay, he quickly stepped in front of her. "Stop," he said. "Where do you think you're going?"
Kaythar was smart enough to know that even though he hated the Drow army, it was better to follow orders and at least act loyal; Thawheneb could kill soldiers just to get them motivated. What would he do to those who deliberately dissobayed orders?

"I was thinking of seeing your commanders," Arajay said coolly.

"Right this way," said Kaythar stiffly, but then quickly whispered in her ear, "Talk to me again later." He gave a slight wink, then stepped out of the way.

Thawheneb nodded, "I am slightly curious as to why exactly we need the scum alive." he said, "I remember you saying something about it, but you were very vaugue. Sorry if I seem unknowing Diae, but there are some thing that our scholars and priests only teach royalty, such as this." One of the Commander's Gaurds saw Arajary walking towards his master's tent. He drew his sword and placed it against her throat, effectively stopping her. "What are you doing here surface breathing scum?" he hissed. * * * * * Theningwanur rested uneasily, he was far too worried about his niece to get any good rest. He woke up soon after having disturbing dream. He left his house and went to his friend. "Have your scouts found anything yet?" he asked. "Not yet Thenin, not yet." he replied.

"She wants to see the General and the Queen!" said Kaythar with fake cruelty. "Ya might has well let her past; the General will deal with her if he wants her dead!"
Hopefully that will not be so, Kaythar thought shortly afterwards.

Tessa struggled and sobbed against the grasp of the onslaught of Drow and their terrible threats and catcalls. "Look at what hte surface scum sends to defend themselves!" "She'd barely leave a mark on my sword!" "Too bad she's not older she'd be one heck of a slave!" Briefly she caught sight of the girl she had seen in the woods not to far away early and cried out in desperation "Miss! Please! Tell them to leave me alone!" she whined still frantically fighting in vain. ***** Havin rested in a tree at the edge of the capitol watching over the activities of the army far into the night when barely a dozen lanterns flickered over the vast city. Hastily he jumped from his hiding spot and quietly scuttled towards the inner city where the officials had brought Hjary. Looking through hte dormitory complex of hte militia building he finally found the boy in one of the guest suites and knocked lightly on the window to get his attention. ***** Diae paused for a moment and then smiled briefly reaching for a small chest near the table that rarely left her side. She unlatched the rusting hinges and pulled from it and intricately carved box. "Now that you bring it up Thawheneb I think this is the right time to bestow this onto you. As of now I have no remaining immediate family members and have no children of my own yet to carry the lineage." She peered out onto the reflections of the campfire on the tent again. "And I'm not confident that I'll be of this earth when the dust of war clears. Immortal I may be but at this point both of us know there's ways to change that. So if anything should happen to me will you be my scion and claim the throne?" Carefully she removed the lid and slid it towards Thawheneb revealing the silver Ring of Scions and smiled maliciously. "If you accept then I'm entitled to reveal my motives concerning Hjary..."

Arajay looked back at the girl briefly, then turned away stiffly and continued walking with her escort. However, a second later, a gigantic wildcat lunged at the soldiers.

Thawheneb nodded and took the ring. "I accept my Queen." he placed the ring on his finger. He would never betray his friend, and with this power he'd save the Kingdom from years of power hungry nobles fighting over the crown. He looked at her for a moment after taking the ring, "I believe that you will survive this battle Diae." he said. "Now what about Hjary?" he asked. The gaurd snarled. "She will not enter unless the General and Queen request her, which they haven't." the guard snapped. "Either she leaves or I kill her." he paused, "Perhaps I should kill her anyway." One of the warriors holding the little Elven girl looked at his companions. "Think we should take her to the General?" he asked. * * * * * William got up and walked over to his window. "Who's there?" he asked suspiciously as he looked out of the window.

Tessa screamed as the massive cat lunged onto the horde and scrambled out from under the fray and lie panting in hte grass for a second then struggled to her feet and ran over clinging to the woman's leg. "Please don't let them hurt me anymore ma'am." ***** Havin peered down into the street making sure he was still alone and peeked back into the window knocking a bit harder. "Let me in Lord Hjary. I must speak with you right away." ***** Diae sighed and placed the chest off to the side again shifting into a more comfortable position in her seat. "There's many small complications to the whole situation but I'll keep it as simple as possible for now. The Hjary line has many secrets and abilities but one of the most of all is their control and unity with the ancient legendary Golden Phoenix. Which in turn is able to control all forms of nature including the movement of the sun and moon. With the boy Hjary under our control victory is guarenteed and then some..." "Now do you see why I want him alive and sound?"

The wildcat finished knocking the soldiers down, then ran back after Tessa. Arajay never once looked down at the girl, but slipped a note into her hand- "Go with the cat, she will keep you safe." The cat pawed at Tessa and attempted to nudge her onto it's back.

Tessa struggled to read the note under the poor moonlight but finally understood and looked up at the woman briefly. Finally she clumsily sat up on the wildcat's back and petted it on the neck as it shot off back into the woods.

Thawheneb nodded, "I understand." he said, turning toward the tent's entrance as he heard the commotion going on outside. "The younglings can handle this one themselves, probably just some beast attacking them." he chuckled lightly, "They need the experience anyway, even if it's just from a beast." The General turned back to face his friend after several moments. "If I remember correctly the Golden Pheonix is what turned the House of Hjary into an Immortal Line and declared them the ruling House of Kretog. Thus starting their Royal Line." he shook his head, "I see why you want the boy alive Diae, but I do not believe that his will can be conquered so easily. Something tells me that our scum sucking Light Elf kin are going to teach him to desire freedom for his people, and start a long war for independence." * * * * * William nodded and walked over to the door and opened it, allowing the man in. "I am no lord." he said as he closed the door. "Until a few hours ago I was a slave, and in the same breath they free me they tell me that I am royalty." he shook his head, "They told me that I am the sole hier to a dead realm's throne."

Diae smirked amusingly at Thawheneb's statement "And now that they are in the face of real warfare this will help determine which of them are able enough to carry out the comitment of serving as a true soldier. And by that I mean the ones who survive." Slowly she got up and moved to the corner preparing her makeshift prayer alter for the night "Of course, if the boy is too reluctant to join us or resistant against our binding spells or just too plain seduced by the Scum's frivolous ideas of just victory then we shouldn't hesitate to finally eliminate him. It will be an entertaining demise I'll assure you." ***** Havin nodded intently and closed the shutters making sure no one else would be able to hear them. Then he fumbled around in his satchel looking for a few select items. "Not Lord you say? Then I guess it wouldn't hurt to refer to you as King Hjary for it's true you're indeed the last of an Immortal line. Ironic isn't it? Anywho myself and my family been trying to find you for years now and was close to accepting that you had passed like everyone else had thought." Finally he pulled out a long scabbard and sword drenched in intricate designs and precious metals and gems. Followed by a small glowing feather encased in a wedge of crystal and a tiny wooden phoenix that looked quite insignificant to the other trinkets. "These are some of the artifacts that now are rightfully yours. Each symbolizes and wields a seperate power that only you possess. I don't think you understand yet just how superior you are yet."
