Kae walked through the meadow, her Rhyhorn at her side. They had spent the night at the Fuschia City PokeCenter and were out looking for Pokemon to study. Kae wasn't interested in battling, defeating Gym Leaders, or training her Pokemon to be strong. She wanted to study Pokemon and become a researcher. She could hear the sounds of a battle from over a ridge, and she and her Rhyhorn ran towards Claire, Brandon, and their Pokemon to watch. Hu looked up, noticing another onlooker. "Hi!" said Hu grinning as she stood up to shake hands. "I'm Hu. I'm a trainer/ contestant for contests. What about you?" |

"Hello," Kae said, taking Hu's hand and shaking it in a friendly manner. "I'm Kae, and I'm a Pokemon researcher."
Kae's Rhyhorn gave a deep-throated rumble of greeting, and Kae guestured toward him. "And this is my Rhyhorn, Granzon. I caught him in the Safari Zone the other day, and we're already great friends."

Claire's eyes wandered over to Hu and Kae. Female, female... Hm, Hu...and Kae. Interesting. Claire's eyes wandered back to the battle. G.G. looked up. "Vision or mind-reading?" she asked Claire. "Mind-reading," Claire replied. Brandon was not about to lose that easy. "Alright, Typhlosion. Fun time's over. Rock tomb and thunderbolt. And end this, please." Typhlosion nodded. If there was one thing Brandon loved, it was TM's. |

Kae turned her attention to the battle. "Wow, look at that Typhlosion! It looks so well-trained and powerful!" she gasped. "I'll have to ask its trainer if I can study it after the battle!" She jogged toward Brandon, research book in hand.

Brandon was not about to lose that easy. "Alright, Typhlosion. Fun time's over. Rock tomb and thunderbolt. And end this, please." Typhlosion nodded. If there was one thing Brandon loved, it was TM's. Claire's eyes darted towards Disaster and widened. "Disaster! Look out!" But it was too late. Disaster had already been struck and was KO'd. Claire narrowed her eyes. "This is personal. Nobody messes with Disaster!" She returned to fainted pokemon to his pokeball. G.G. smiled. "Now?" "No." "Oh come on! I never get to fight!" "Shut up!" Claire floated into the air, her necklace shifting. "Pokepower! Arcanine!" G.G.'s chest started glowing, and Claire's color went completely white. Her body started shifting into an Arcanine, and the color drained back into her. She /was/ an Arcanine. A brown haired, full size Arcanine. |

The wind blew and Hu felt a slight chill sliding down her spine. That girl was a pokemon? The blew one of Hu's bangs into her face, but Hu pushed it to the side. The pokemon/trainer looked very angry, too angry...
"CAREFUL!" called out the trainer/ contestant. It looked like trouble and Hu was shocked.
"Pii? Pii? Chu..." wondered Pichu and then fainted at the girl's transformation. Hu pulled Pichu back into her pokeball. She called back all her pokemon into their pokeballs as well. However, she left Swampert and Fox the Ninetails out. She remembered that Arcanine was but a fire type pokemon and that Swampert could easily defeat it, Swampert being Hu's strongest pokemon. Fox, was one of Hu's speedyest pokemon. Both stoodby their owner, obediently, understanding the situation. Quickly remembering Kae the reasearcher, Hu cried out, "Kae! Careful! She might be dangerous..."

But what if she was to find out Claire's secret? Hu paused and just watched the trainer/Arcanine. She wondered what Brandon or Claire was going to do. It could be safe, but... Hu felt a little uneasy. She nervously bit her nails. |

Kae blinked, wide-eyed. "You definitely don't see that every day...I want to know how it works!" she said enthusastically. Granzon grunted and moved in front of Kae to shield her from any potential attacks. He watched Claire warily. Kae, meanwhile, was excitedly scribbling notes in her research book, occasionally peeking out from behind Granzon to include a few sketches.

Swampert growled, and tremors began to form. Venusaur seemed to be preparing for Solarbeam, and Typhlosion's teeth were bared.
"Guys, calm down. Guys! CALM!" He had to shout to cause Swampert to give up Earthquake. Typhlosion just grunted and kept a wary eye, while Venusaur didn't budge an inch. So long as that... girl? Pokemon? didn't attack, it would be ok. Wouldn't it?

Hu's Swampert turned over and saw the other Swampert growling at the girl/pokemon. Venusaur and Typhlosion seemed to be ready to attack. Hu's Swampert and Fox were motionless. They did not expose any expression, however they were prepared to do anything, if any disaster occurred. Swampert seemed to be concentrating at staring at Claire as if she could detect a sign of attack. Fox, on the other hand, stared at the research who was drawing sketches. She reminded Fox of the time the artist drew her picture. However, Fox stayed focused. Hu could barely breathe. She forced a cough out to ripple the silence... |

And then, once again, the transformation began again. (((Wow, this is really getting interesting..^_^))) Hu froze. The girl/arcanine transformed into... an Articuno? Articunos were very, very rare legendary pokemon. Hu remembered her last encounter with one, that she called Snow and how she captured it and decided to leave it with Professor Oak when she decided to come back home. Whatever the.. girl/pokemon was... it was not right for her to be so angry. Hu zipped into action. "Swampert, Fox, go!" She cried out, and both pokemon started running towards Claire. "Swampert, use take down on!" The large water/rock pokemon charged at Articuno who just flew up into the air, missing the attack. Claire seemed even more angry and turned to glare down at Hu. "Oh.." Hu mumbled, suddenly remembering that Articuno also could fly. She quickly yelled out, "Fox, use fire spin!" Hu silently thought to herself, ice's major weakness was fire. By using fire spin, it would trap the Articuno and lessen the force of its attacks as it grew weaker. Fox's attack soared into the air, immersing the other pokemon in the twister of flames... |

Whatever the.. girl/pokemon was... it was not right for her to be so angry. Hu zipped into action. "Swampert, Fox, go!" She cried out, and both pokemon started running towards Claire. Her knees gave out and she fell to the ground. G.G. helped her up and out of the forcefield. Claire smiled weakly. "Claire...Maple... Pokepower... Goddess... BlackNight..." And then, she fainted. G.G. tried to wake her up. "I'm sorry," G.G. said. "She's always like this whenever she transforms. Her blood level keeps changing everytime she transforms, and she usually faints..." |
