Yra kept on walking until a golden retriever came running by her. Her golden retriever. Buddy. After it came a small, ten-year-old boy, yelling, " BUDDYYYY!!! COME BACK BOY!" he stopped by her.
"Daniel, was that Buddy running off?" she asked slowly. The boy, who had a striking resemblance to her, nodded slowly. He was about to speak when she said, "Hurry up then. We'll have to go get him." with that she started running after her dog, her little brother with her.
Daniel finally caught up to their pet, Yra behind him. She didn't notice the man from before was just across the street. "What were you doing outside in the pouring rain, anyway?!"
"Walking the dog." replied the short, skinny boy.
Yra sighed. "You were walking the dog in the pouring rain." she said. "What in the world is wrong with you?! You could've gotten lost, or hurt, or--"
"Why are you out in the storm anyway?" interrupted Daniel.
"None of your business." snapped Yra.

Chris continues walking not noticing the people across the street. Chris raises his hand and the snow falls heavily. He smiles and continues walking.

"Hiding something, are we?" Daniel said rather loudly.
Yra sighed. "I'm not hiding anything. I'm just keeping it to myself. I don't ask you where you're going every time you go outside." she said, just as loud. She sighed again and added, "Anyway, let's go. The snow is getting thicker."

Chris looks across the street hearing the voices. "Jerk..." He mutters under his breath. He walks a little faster.

Storm looked up, it was getting late. She jumped down from the tree and began to walk home.
Suddenly, a silvery figure seemed to materialize next to her. It stalked forward, baring glistening teeth, sharp as knives. Storm only grinned. "Cut it out, Noelani." The creature evaporated, and a girl, looking to be about 10 or 11 years old, walked forward. Her hair was silvery blue.
"I can't fool you, can I, sis?" she said with a grin.
The older sister chuckled. "You've done it too many times, I think I'm immune. What's up?"
Noelani shrugged. "Well, I was going to sneak up on Xavier and do the same thing, but he caught me and so I..."
"So you came to bug me?" finished Storm with a faint grin. "Well, let's get going, anyway."

"But there's snow! It's the good kind, too! I wanna build a snow fort!" protested Daniel.
Yra sighed. "We'll get back home, then you can dress properly and go play in the snow." she told her little brother softly. "I don't want you to catch frostbite."
"Awww..." he muttered, but his sister had already started walking. He knew he would catch frostbite if he stayed outside dressed like he was, wearing only a light jacket and running shoes. He caught up to her and they both walked back home.

Gangsters slink out of an alleyway. They surround Chris. The five gangsters hiss threats. Chris looks into the eyes of the kid infront of him. They all looked barely 16. His body tenses as he sees a knife slowly inch toward him.
((We need a good bad guy...))

Milly looked up at the sky again. The snow fell down rather thick. Many kids would be happy tomorrw for a snow day.
"There we go!" She smiled, cheerfully.

((Or a corny quest to go on )) Chris grabs the knife. Using the fact that they were still pretty much stunned. Chris lets an explosion of energy knock the group out. "Heh."

((Good idea, Chris. You find us an enemy/quest. )) "We're home..." muttered Yra, taking off her soaking sweatshirt and throwing it into the dryer as her little brother took his winter clothes out of a carboard box. Yra looked around to find the living room just as she had left it. Boxes were piled everywhere, barely anything was unpacked. Her mother, brother and her had just moved in, two days ago, and they were still through the process of taking everything out of the boxes. "Honey, I'm in the kitchen!" called her mother. "Could you come help me put these plates away?" With a sigh, Yra forged herself a path between several piles of boxes and reached the kitchen. She took a pile of plates and put them away in a cupboard, then looked around. The kitchen was almost completely unpacked, except for a few boxes. "Whoa...did you spend all day unpacking?" "Almost," replied Alanna, her mother, throwing an empty box away. "So what did you do of your day?" "...Nothing." replied Yra slowly. Her mother raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. "So when am I starting school again?" asked Yra, changing the subject.

((Hmm... I got it.))
Chris walks back home opening the door he settles down for a quick dinner. Hes had a long day. Outside of the city the fields died and the trees withered. The very lifeforce of the land was gone. Nothing lived. Inside the city everything was normal. Technology had driven out the magic. A gang of 5 stood on the tallest building.
The man in the middle smiled. "Can you see the people starving and dying?"
The rest of the group smiles and nods.

"Next Wednesday." replied Alanna, putting some cups away.
Yra nodded. "It's snowing outside." she said.
"Really?" asked Alanna.
"Yep. Really hard. I'll shovel if you want me to..." she said, wishing she hadn't said that last phrase.
"I'd like that, thanks."
With a sigh, Yra put on her winter coat and gloves and slipped into her boots, then stepped outside and grabbed a shovel.
"Yra! Look at my fort!" exclaimed her brother, running out of a small fort with thick but not very tall walls.
"Nice." replied Yra, shoveling the path in front of their new home.
((Meh, I know my posts are boring...but we need to find a way to bring our charries together...))

Milly walked by a row of houses, still looking up at the sky. She noticed a house where some were already making forts, and throwing snowballs. ((Grr to throwing snowballs... See games page))
"Hello!" she called, and started walking again.

Yra just nodded at the girl walking along the street, while her brother greeted her with a cheerful, "Hi! You like my fort?"
