I'll join. ^_^ And... For anyone who'd like to listen to some really great Christian rock, there's an online radio station called Air1. The music isn't corny, and it's not your Gregorian chanting or hymns, it's real music you could hear on the normal radio, only with a positive message. I actually was never much into Christian music until I learned of this station, but now I'm hooked. Check it out if you'd like. ;D www.air1.comThanks for the recommendation. ^_^

So, the past few days for me have been so full of arguments and crud, I hardly got anything done, despite the fact that I've had more free time this week than any other. And this evening, I took my Bible out and just read it. And y'know what it said? And the kine took the straight way to the way of Beth-shemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Beth-shemesh. (1 Samuel 6:12 KJV) To appreciate this verse, a little background on it. The Philistines had captured the ark from the Israelites. And for a moment, that's how I felt. That in all the spats and strife of the past few days, somehow I had lost the Lord. And then now you have this image, of the ark making its way back to the Israelites. They probably didn't even know it was coming back, maybe they had lost hope, but it was. And at that moment, I felt more reassured than I ever had over the past few days. I felt reassured that no matter what, even if it seems that all has been taken away, the Lord is bringing it back. 's not wavering and taking His time, but coming back straight. Bearing golden emrods and mice too. And well. It's just comforting to know that I guess.

I know exactly how you feel Kit. The past few weeks.. I haven't spent much time praying or reading my bible (The one that is sitting on the shelf gathering dust. >.<) yet I have been going to church and youth every Sunday and Wednesday. I was just like "Yeah yeah, let's go." kinda thing. I have been drifting away from Him.
Then, yesterday, a guest speaker came to our youth group. She lives in New York and does Sunday school with thousands of kids, teens and adults who come from a variety of places. Conveniently, she was my old baby sitter when I was young, and we haven't seen her since like, 6-7 years when she left to NY. And she spoke, and I just wanted more and more of God... and then I came to our youth devotions website and just started reading, and I'm just agreeing with everything and becoming closer to God again... I'm happy! =D And today, when I know I won't be bothered, I'm gonna read my bible again. ^^

I'll never be able to get over how wonderful it is to have a Christian group I can go to on Sunday nights. We have a building separate from the main church building, and it's always packed with kids from SCAD and neighboring colleges. And once a month, the members of the church have this big dinner for all the students, which I think is the most neighborly and hospitable thing. Why, just this night we had a Low Country Boil, with boiled shrimp! :3 And all for free, I'm just touched with how full of a loving spirit the congregation of our parent church is. <3
And I just want to share a happy verse:
Psalm 13:5-6 "But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me."

Eeee, me too, Komori. ^_^ I'm so thankful I have a small group to go to. Last night my friends invited me to theirs, and it was just awesome. We led ourselves in worship, and it was amazing. It made me feel really happy to know that there are (and to be with) other Christians that go to my school and are in my same grade and everything. Some of the people there I didn't even know were Christian, and it was just a cool experience. It was like hey, you're in my math class! And hey, we ran track together last year! xD
I think I'm going to go back to that group, because I got so much out of it even though it was my first night.
And yeah. Praise the Lord! ^_^

Ahh, I'll be the first to add to the Prayer list. :<
My roommate is sick. Seems she came down with something within the span of only a day. I hope it's only a bad cold, but golly it doesn't sound very good. She's a pretty big Christian too, so I'm sure it'd be encouraging to know people are praying for her. ^__^

Hey Komori, how's your roommate? I hope she's feeling better. ^^ ..I think i'll be the second to add to the Prayer List.. but I think it will be up there for quite some time. If you remember my old thread... my sister has Anorexia. =( She's not doing too good.. she's not gaining enough weight or eating enough and is always out of the house so we dont even know if she's eating half the time. The doctors are still debating to put her into a hospital or not so yeah. Prayers would be so much appreciated right about now.

Oh dear me, a month without updates. :3 Well, I still wanted to share a verse I happened upon the other day: Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. It's a pretty strong and encouraging sort of verse, if anyone needs any encouragement right now.

*pops in* @ the youtube video - Interesting! I first heard of the song when they played it in the pilot episode of Smallville when Clark was in the loft and Lana was on the porch, so it kinda stuck in my head as a boy talking about a girl, but "Everything" could refer to any kind of relationship. 4:34 was especially powerful and moving, and I'm not even a religious person. *pops out*
