((Cyb and Shoi, I'm not sure where you are right now so I'm assuming that neither Ginz nor I can see/hear your fight. Let me know if I'm wrong.))
Sarn could see the obvious relief evident in Ginz's expression and voice as she threw her arms around his neck. He smiled and hugged her back warmly but their embrace was cut short when she withdrew suddenly and scanned him up and down with a keen eye.
"I'm... I was just walking nearby and I heard shootings. I was worried, so I came to see what was going on. But you... are you okay?"
He spread his hands and shrugged. "I'm fine, and so was everyone else, though I don't know if they're all fine now. Half the tavern left straight after the shots."
"What happened inside there? I saw a group of men exit carrying some sort of sack. I thought nothing of them until I saw others following them. They all went in that direction."
Sarn saw just how worried Ginz was, and felt a pang of guilt for having lingered so long in the shifty establishment while she must have been fretting outside. He pulled her into a close hug again, wrapping both arms and wings around her and whispered a melody that only an enchanter could hear to calm his friend.
I was about to make my way back to Mage Manor. This looks like very suspicious business. I think we need to warn the others,"
Stepping back from the hug, Sarn met Ginzs' eyes with a serious expression. "I don't know most of what's going on. I saw a group of miners with a sack and a catboy, I didn't catch his name, but the bartender seemed to know him well enough. From what the bartender said, those miners claim to have a bag of luck, of sorts. The catboy tried to test it out and thats when the gunman appeared. He was dragged away fairly easily and I didn't catch the last part of the conversation before the miners made a quick escape and a whole bunch of mercs, ninjas and I think some knights followed."
He paused to glance in the direction indicated by Ginz, wondering if he should take action. Was this even something the mages should worry about? It was quite possible that the miners were lying and would finally get their comeuppance from those whom they had cheated.
No, he thought, better to be safe than sorry.
He let go of his friend's shoulders and tilted his head slightly to gaze at her, smiling secretly. "Ginz," he mused, "do you fancy a flight?"

((The fight should be taking place right outside the tavern to tell the truth Since most of the group started arguing the moment they stepped out of it.)) Draco has left the ground and started to jump from tree to tree trying to catch up. When he finally see's Vyt and the two knights he throws a small smoke bomb at the knights. "Vyt, you better keep moving. I'll try to hold them off as long as I can." Pulling his scarf up to cover the lower half of his face, he jumps from the tree between Vyt and the two knights. The smoke still strong in the air, he half wished he had some glasses on. " If things work out well, I can continue chasing Vyt soon."

((I hate it when I can only log in once a day, and it's even by the time I'm supposed to be sleeping.))
"Thanks, Draco," Vyt immediately said. Had he appeared a second later, the catboy would've been caught in a fight. He learned to be careful not to get distracted easily next time as his feet shuffled back to enable his leaps once more.
With his feet stepping on branches by branches, Vyt quickly jumped away from the escalating battle.
---------------------------------------
Vincent's red eyes were as piercing as the moonlight that finally appeared through the sky. Dusk had given way to the clear night, and somehow he felt more comfortable with the dark setting. Of course, by comfort he was talking about the freedom to do whatever he was commanded by the strange object inside the sack.
Since the day they found the item, it had somehow led him and his crew to the safest yet most advantageous path possible, as if somehow giving them an excessive amount of luck. Only he, who struck the item and made the closest contact with it, was able to hear more than his men. He was the only one who could "understand" what the object was trying to say. It seemed like it was protecting him from harm.
He would not let someone take it away from him.
The sack that glowed a constant bright white light began to emit a rather beating glow of red. Suddenly, a small mist started to form around Vincent and his men.
"SUSPICIOUS? YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE POWER OF THIS," he uttered out as the mist around him developed into a larger mass of smoke. Almost instantly, it caused him and his crew to disappear into the night; not even the red bursts of light from the sack could be seen.
A few seconds later, a shadow emerged from just behind the same position. It jumped into the moonlight to reveal a very irritated Vyt.
"What did you do?!" the catboy angrily looked at the knight in front of him. "You made him run away!"
---------------------------------------
"I WILL FIND MY WAY INTO THE MAGE MANOR. I WILL."

"I simply stopped him to ask questions. I don't know what they did... It seemed like a mix of ninja and mage magic the way they disappeared like that. This is cumbersome..."
He takes his hand off his sword.
"Really... It's not like they couldn't continue to run. The question is where did they run to?"
Dragus walks to a tree and leans on it. "I should have tried to freeze them in their own shadows... Or ice... No, the way they left most likely would have ignored any magic on them..."
"I need to know what's going on. I don't like the way things looked back there. Maybe you can explain as we continue this search."

Vyt was furious upon learning what the knight did during the confrontation. He was not well-known among his friends to recollect himself, but it was safe to say he was trying to. With a heavy sigh, the catboy confronted the knight once more. "You have a lot to learn about facing suspicious people. Now, you won't be able to keep up with my jumping from tree to tree, so we'll have to sprint along while I explain."
"He definitely is a knight," Vyt thought. "And I met another one earlier... I wonder..."
"I suppose you saw a man holding a strange sack. I've met him back then just awhile ago, in the Tavern By The Cliff. My ears picked up a very strange humming sound from it, as if it was attracting something to come here... Whatever it is and regardless of the possibility, we can't let him go to any place where there are a lot of people."
Vyt hissed for a moment. "We can't tell the guilds about this. Otherwise, he'll be alarmed and will either escape, or worse..."
"... He might go straight to a place with tons of innocent people."
Vyt turned his head back to meet the knight's eyes. "Tell me about your mission, if you have any. It'll probably help if we stick together."
"Now, to see if the story does stick..."

Dragus runs along with Vyt as fast as he could.
"Interesting. I currently have no mission, in fact it was my day off. I agree with you about keeping that thing from crowds."
He runs in silence for a few minutes before he continues talking.
"I also agree not to alert the guilds if we can. Many will try to get the item in question for one reason or another. I believe most of the guilds will have justified reasons to capture it. However, if this gets to close to the King or any other leader who knows what will happen. I believe the closest guilds would be the knights and mages. We need to try and not alarm either in our chase."
He continues his run while thinking, "If this item gets near the King, who knows what will happen. It needs to stay away from the castle at all costs."

"As far as I know, knights never take a day off," Vyt began to suspect. "What, you got a new king or something?"
"This guy doesn't seem to know about that knight I met way earlier... And judging by the direction, I don't think he's luring me back towards them. Still..."
"We need to alert only a few exceptional people about this," Vyt added. "Only enough to help us search for Vincent and not raise up any suspicion in the progress."
"The mages might help us. We should go to the Mage Manor."
---------------------------------------
Meanwhile, a very familiar fog began to envelop around the Mage Manor.

"In fact, yes, we did get a new King. As for the day off... I'm usually out of the country on business trips. After a trip I tend to slack off a little and have my own day off. And because I'm away so often I don't know many people outside of the knights. The only other person you might know, but we don't usually see eye to eye... Or more importantly, he doesn't see eye to eye with me..."
Dragus doesn't seem to want to mention the person he spoke of.
"I agree in checking on the manor. We can either get help or some information."

Shoi narrowed his eyes. "Strange words from one who isn't being very peaceful themselves. Also, my name is Shoichi; I would appreciate it if you would use it."
Glancing at Esme and Cyborg, Shoichi paused for a moment. He knew he couldn't manage to control the movement of two enemies at once, especially when one was threatening a hostage, so thinking quickly, he opted to change the situation entirely. He lunged forward towards Cyborg, a flare of silver energy forming around him, and as he closed towards where Cyborg was grappling Rayce, he reached forward, grabbing Rayce's arm - and the two vanished as the silver energy around Shoi collapsed into nothingness.
There, on the Spiritual Plane, Shoi reached forward and pulled Rayce's now silver-shaded form out of Cyborg's far more liquid spiritual presence. "We cannot attack them from here - it would be like attacking thick water - but I think we have bought Vyt enough time. We should travel to where he is and see if we can observe what is going on... then cross back over when the time is right.."
With that, Shoi beckoned Rayce to follow him as he continued to follow traces of Draco's movements.

"And if you'll just look closer, ma'am, you'll see that this is no ordinary frying pan, no! Why this, this is a magical frying pan, bewitched by the ancient mage Mayking Stuphup, concealed as an innocuous cooking utensil so the great mage could smite the unsuspecting..."
At about this point, Zylaa contemplated stabbing the enthusiastic, shifty salesman. It was probably the quickest way to get away from his endless sales pitch. He had spotted her sitting alone in the tavern, sidled close, and since then had not stopped talking. She had even walked down the path, which she thought would deter him, but man, merchandise cart and all had followed her.
When some angry people ran past, she used that distraction and fled.
Wonder what that was all about, she thought from the safety of one of the many crags in the cliff. Probably another drunken brawl.
"And it's only 10 shinies! And that's cutting my own throat!"
Zylaa spun to face the salesman, snatched the frying pan out of his hand, and brained him with it.
Now to go finish my drink.

((Behind The Tavern on the Cliff))
Goosh thanked the bartender and opted to leave from the tavern's back door which, seeing as this was The Tavern on the Cliff, led to about a foot of land followed by a long and rather jagged drop.
Sidling along the back wall of the tavern and sparkling nervously, he turned his head to see Zylaa, wielding a frying pan, whack a salesman--he could tell it was a salesman because of the cheap polyester--straight across the head with the cast-iron cookware.
"Nice shot!" the Yurble cried as he approached her. He gently prodded the unconscious merchant with his shoe. "Might wanna keep that thing around, what with today's events.
I just talked to the barman. Apparently some miners found something strange underground--he called it a bag of luck. They were showing it off and taunting Vyt, and then there was a shooting, but no one was hurt.
Then just about everyone left to go after either that bag or someone else who was chasing it, though you probably heard all that noise." By this time, Goosh had hefted the man onto a nearby row of crates behind a smithy, knowing he'd be found before the day's end. He brushed the dirt off his hands and faced his fellow pirate.
"This could be a gem situation all over again. I'm all for piracy, but not so much world-ending conflicts. Let's track that thing down and figure out a safe way to get rid of it, alright?"
((..can we do location headers? xD I just have a hard time keeping track of where everyone is.))

((Forest near Manor))" Rose jump away from the smoke, leave the catboy be for now, we'll find him soon enough." Midknight said as he and Rose dropped down from the trees, and ran on foot away from the smoke cloud.
----------------------- (( Near the Tavern)) " Thank you Shoichi, I appreacite your aide. Where are we going? To help Vyt, or the other ninja?" Rayce stated, as he followed Shoichi. -----------------
" Well, Esme, looks like they got away." Cyborg stated as he realised Rayce disappeared from his grasp.
" Uh huh, love to stay and chat but I have a profit to make." Esme stated running off. Cyborg quickly followed, and passed her.

When the smoke fades away from the area, Draco is standing alone. "I wanted a fast fight, but a little fight would have been fun." He turns around in the direction of Vyt and begins to run.
"Others might be following soon... I better set a few traps up..."
He stops where he is, and begins to set up trip wires attached to small bombs.
"Their not powerful enough to really kill anyone, but they can at least cause enough damage to keep them from following... If I'm lucky, a tree will fall..."
When he was done, he took off after Vyt once again.

Dr. Lupe, still in wolf form, hid behind a bush and listened to Dragus and Vyt's conversation. He certainly did not want to head to Mage Manor, in case he ran into Hunter, but he was curious, and knew that others were after the strange men as well. He ran back in the direction of the tavern, but did not end up far before he set off some small bombs. He managed to escape most of the damage, but his leg was injured. He went into human form to bandage his leg, and limped toward the tavern. "I really need a drink."
~~~
"I'm not sure I need it, but I wouldn't mind help. Particularly with large amounts of ice, I just can't seem to make them very well. I can do small well, though." Omni then showed what she meant by creating a duplicate of the cup out of frost. "That's pretty good, you can do details on it. My magic probably works a bit different from yours, but I can tell you that the colder it is, the easier it is to do ice magic." Hunter explained, "You might also want to start off with less dense stuff, like snow or something."
((I don't know what else to say. I don't know if Hunter should notice the fog, so I'm waiting for other people coming to the manor))
