Draco glances at Rayce than at the group.
"Well, you heard him. It seems we have to keep you from getting the object at all costs. I rather not have to fight you guys, so if you could just give up now that would be nice."
He smiles as he looks at the group, giving off a bored sigh at the same time.
"Depending how this turns out, I'm still going to give chase and see whats going on."
--- Dragus continues to give chase, shielding his eyes when he starts to see a flash of light up ahead.
"What the blazes was that?"
He slows down when he can see Vincent and his group in sight.
"Stop right there and explain yourself."

( I figured 2 vs 2 would be more fair. Oh and just for everyone's knowledge I probably won't be using any of my companions.) " Rose, let us go, the catboy knows something he isn't telling." Midknight stated, Rose grabbed his arm, and the two turned into shadows and went off towards Vyt's direction.
Cyborg growled at his brother, and went to rush after him, but was blocked by Rayce who stated. " I'm afraid I can't let you pass." " Too bad for you then." Cyborg replied.
Esme however lifted a nearby rock and tossed it at Draco telekinetically. " Cyborg, tsk tsk, wasting time with talk, what's happened to you?"
"The Spacefleet, that's what happened." Cyborg retorted, pressing a button on his right arm as claws came out from the tips of his right 'paw', which grew to ten inches. He also got out the shield he had been lent during the demon attack, which had served him well in training.
Rayce saw this and grabbed his nekode and prepared for an attack.

Since during the last Guilds War, the energy she had stored up had been corrupted, she had to empty her Crystal out of fear that the corrupted energy might have negative effects, on her spells as well as herself. Since then, she had been daily taking a little bit of energy from the Mages with the particular types of magic she knew how to use, or wanted to learn - with permission, of course - and now had built up most of her energy stores again.
Most of Omni's day so far had been made up of reading, listening to music, and practicing magic, experimenting with it. A lot of the casting she did involved creating trivial things, for fun. Although considering the focus she put into detail, it was good practice nonetheless, and would likely help with larger spells.
She was absorbed in a book about ice magic when her stomach interrupted her. She looked at the clock, which told her that she was late for her latest meal. She placed a bookmark between the pages, closed the book, and brought it with her. As she stepped out the library door, she made use of the Manor's magic to walk right into the kitchen, where she immediately started looking through the cupboards.
"Afternoon snack?" Folassë, a Mage who specialized in nature-based magic, asked.
"Late lunch," Omni replied, pulling out bread before moving on to the fridge.
"Again? You should take better care of your body."
"I know. But when I get caught up in a book or something, it's hard to put it down, and I just lose track of time." Omni took out sandwich meat and condiments as she said this, as well as pepperoni.
Fola generally disproved of eating the flesh of an animal often - one of many things that causd Omni to suspect that she was a druid - but she knew that Omni was more of a predator, and so was more lax in this situation. "I know what you mean. Sometimes when I'm gardening, time just seems to fly by."
"Time must really fly by for you after all that time in the Gem." Omni put some mustard on her sandwich. "Oh, could you help me with something?"
"What is it?"

Draco stares as two of his opponents turn into shadow and leave. He is about to do the same when he notices a rock flying at him. He quickly dives out of the way, the rock narrowly missing his head.
"Well it seems you won't just quit like I hopped."
He takes out two kunai and readies for a attack. He glances at the shadows around him to figure out a plan of attack. However the shadows were not large enough for him to use to his advantage.
"Darn. All I can do with these shadows as they are is some shadow passing. That's not a good idea until I know my opponent. However, I can still use dark fusion on my kunai. At least this way any cut I happen to perform will be harder to heal... I'll save that for last."
He quickly throws one of his kunai at Esme, and takes another out to replace it.

((Bold speech represents Shoi's deep, rumbling and unearthly speech when in spirit-form. Also, when in his spirit form Shoi is roughly the same shape as normal but seems to be almost made of liquid - he has largely undefined facial and other fine body characteristics; you can make out brightly glowing silver eyes only))
Sitting in a corner of the local tavern, Shoi had only begun eating his fish and chips when he noticed Draco bolt out the front door. After a long day of organizing the inventory in the shop he was in no mood to deal with a crisis before he had even had dinner, but something told him that this was not something to ignore. Cursing under his breath, he stormed out the front door and focused briefly, vanishing in a surge of collapsing silver energy as he crossed over to the Spiritual Plane.
His vision quickly adjusting, he could easily see the disturbances and traces left behind by Draco's movement, the whirls and scatterings in the silver and black spiritscape still drawing back together into their previous form. Setting off quickly along the tracks, Shoi soon came to Draco's familiar spiritual presence - and the presence of several others that were not familiar at all.
Shifting back to the Physical Plane, Shoi was careful to remain in spirit-form himself. He appeared in a flash of expanding silver energy amidst those present.
"Draco, what is going on he*urgh*!" Shoi staggered briefly as the kunai Draco had just thrown at Esme lodged in his chest.
Steadying himself, he pulled the kunai out of his chest and tossed it aside, his silvery body simply having a hole as a result. "Would SOMEONE tell me what is going on here?"

((Draco threw the kunai >.> Vyt ran away.))
Draco shakes his head.
"You want to know whats going on, your in the path of my kunai." He waves the kunai in his hand before continuing talking, "We're trying to stop these guys from getting some unknown bag of importance. Vyt chased after the bag and told us to stop anyone who gives chase."
He readies himself to continue the fight.

((Draco: Fixed my post, sorry about that))
Shoi blinked, his eyes taking on the shape of concern. "Very well. I trust Vyt enough to know he wouldn't say that without a good reason".
Turning to the others, Shoi took on a balanced martial stance, his kama still in their shoulder sheaths. "I would rather not fight if it could be avoided; perhaps you might explain your side of things?"

"There was a group of them before you showed up. One wants to study the object, one wants to sell it, and the two who ran away want to give it to the king."
He continues to stand where he is when he gets a idea.
"Now that your here, I think I should chase after the two who ran."
Draco leaps into a shadow and disappears from sight. He reappears several meters away from the others, and leaps into another shadow.
"This would be easier if I knew exactly where they were."

During all of the commotion, a wolf hiding in the bushes went unnoticed, observing the events that unfolded. The wolf sped through the forest after the group of miners and the catboy. Doctor Lupe had only been to the tavern for a drink, but whatever the object was, it would certainly help to have.
((I don't know if the Merc RP is still going to happen, but I want to use Doc anyway.))
~~~
Hunter was practicing his magic outside the manor, creating ice sculptures and melting them, to test how fast he could manage it. This meant heat was running in and out of his body and into and out of the scuptures, and it was making him a bit sick. He sat down for a minute. "I need something to drink. Probably a bite to eat wouldn't hurt either." He got up and went inside the manor to get just that.
When he walked into the kitchen, he noticed Omni was already there. "Hey." Hunter noticed the book she had. "Ice magic? Need any help with that?" He said, walking over to the fridge to see if he had any tea left. He poured a glass and sat down at the table.
((Hope I'm not interrupting the conversation with Fola too much.))
Post by Vyt: Down, but Not Out on Aug 4, 2009 0:36:20 GMT -5
((My apologies for my kinda late post.))
"Stop right there and explain yourself," said a young-looking man that blocked Vincent's path. The four men around him gave a very terrifying look towards the stranger, but kept to themselves like vultures patiently eyeing towards their victims.
Vincent's eyes turned red as he stared at Dragus. "IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU, YOU'D BETTER STAY OUT OF MY PATH," he spoke in an intimidating voice. It was quite different from his usual way of talking, but of course no one at that moment would know. "THIS DOES NOT CONCERN YOU AT ALL, SO BACK OFF."
---------------------------------------
A small glitter of light finally entered Vyt's feral vision, giving him the slight hint of Vincent's existence wandering near it. That observation was a very far-fetched possibility, but the catboy knew anything was better than nothing.
However, he was more disturbed by the presence of an unknown being following him and his target. His nose picked up none of the familiar scent of the group earlier, alerting him that another creature had entered the fray.
Vyt stopped leaping from tree to tree and turned around. "Face me, you scaredy-cat! I don't want some shadows playing around when I'm on my mission!" he shouted.
If whoever that was would not appear to the catboy, then he'd have wasted precious time. Otherwise, he've at least eliminated some of the scarier possibilities.
Draco quit using shadow pass because it was taking to much energy to use, and was now chasing down the two knights ahead of him.
"Where did they go? Darn knights. I know they have good attentions and all, but their in the way right now! And here I am talking to myself as I run... I need to stop doing this."
He continues to run, mumbling to himself along the way.
---
Dragus stares at Vincent for a few moments before speaking.
"I'll gladly get out of your path and forget you. However, I need some questions answered. Forgive me, but I take it upon myself to do this. I mean, what would you do if you saw a group of men running through the forest, from the direction of a tavern, and carrying around a bag? Seems kind of suspicious."
He glances at each of the men and the glowing bag. He rests his hand upon his sword, Sora~Ryu, ready to fight if he is forced.
Sarn drowned himself in the last gulps of frothy ale, tilting his mug to the rafters of the dank little tavern. He did not normally consume such drinks, alcohol didn't effect him at all, perhaps because of some physiological trait given him by his Feberi parents. The reason for his indulgence in the bitter drink was his shame at having not acted quickly.
The gunman had long since been subdued and the tiny tavern had witnessed a mass exodus, beginning with the shady group of miners whom the catboy hat been so interested in. What bothered Sarn was that, upon sensing the danger, hearing the bullets being fired, he had instinctively cast a protective enchantment over himself, but had neglected to do so for anyone else.
He placed his mug on the table, deposited a small pile of shinies next to the empty pint glass and made his steady way to the door.
As his eye adjusted to the brightness of the day, contrasting with the dark shabby aura of the tavern, Sarn spread his wings and took several long strides, preparing to lift gently off the ground when someone caught his attention.
He stopped abruptly, his wings still outstretched, and squinted through the haze of light at the worried face of a friend.
"Ginz?" he said, surprised to see her anywhere near such a shifty place. "What are you... Whats wrong?"
((Nah, it's okay.))
Not much later, a mage Omni recognized as Hunter came into the kitchen. He noticed the book she was holding. "Hey," he said. "Ice magic? Need any help with that?" He pulled out some tea, poured himself a glass, and pulled up a chair at the table.
Omni glanced at the tea then looked back up at Hunter. "I'm not sure I need it, but I wouldn't mind help. Particularly with large amounts of ice, I just can't seem to make them very well. I can do small well, though." She walked up to the table and held her hands near each other, just above the surface. Frost appeared in the air around her hands, and before long, she had made in ice version of the cup Hunter was drinking out of.
Ginz had seen Sarn exit the tavern, but she thought he, like the others, would go on his way without a word. When he noticed her and spoke to her, she was overjoyed.
"Sarn, thank goodness you're here!" Ginz spontaneously put her arms around her friend in relief, but quickly retreated.
"I'm... I was just walking nearby and I heard shootings. I was worried, so I came to see what was going on. But you... are you okay?" she asked, worried.
Ginz scanned Sarn for any sign of injury. Since she couldn't see any, she let herself smile just a bit.
"What happened inside there?" she asked curiously, "I saw a group of men exit carrying some sort of sack. I thought nothing of them until I saw others following them. They all went in that direction." Ginz pointed to indicate.
"I was about to make my way back to Mage Manor. This looks like very suspicious business. I think we need to warn the others," she finally stated.
Cyborg and Rayce continued clawing at eachother, being fairly matched, until Cyborg started using his strenth advantage over the ninja. He wrapped his hands around the ninja's head and threatened Shoi, stating, " Look, spirit thing, leave peacefully, and stay out of our way, or i will have to hurt your ally here. Or have him taken to the HQ."
Esme just yawned, and began walking up to the spirit looking thing. " Look, I don't have the time for this so, I'll be on my way." she stated as she began walking away.
--------------------------------
Midknight let go of Rose and she appeared to Vyt's right and continued with him jumping from tree to tree. " Look, my friend and I would like to help get that sack away from the group of men, but we would like it to be taken to the King who will know what to do with it." Midknight then appeared stating, " And we'd appreciate if you helped us find said group of men, and let us deliver said dsack to the King of Dunburrrow. Or, you could stay out of our way."
