Some time soon is good, but GW hasn't come to a complete close with all of the members, even if a lot has been wrapped up. (Although personally, I think at this point, my character doesn't have much more of a reason to stay in the battlefield, other than to maybe get on the good side of any Guild mage... Haven't decided what to do next, there.) Do we have a general outline for what's gonna happen and how we're gonna begin? (Even if it's very very loose.) As long as it's wrapped up sufficiently and the activity has dropped then I think we should start. I know what's going to happen in the beginning and how the plot is started but beyond that I can't say due to the unpredictable nature of RPers.

For the most part all Steampunk and Mage guild members are done with GWIII. If anything it's just a little extra something if they feel like it. What's left can also be added to the RP if needed.
So I think it's pretty safe to start when ever. I'll try and get Gil involved XD
How long after GW are we planning on this RP being at?

I think what he means is, how much time in the guildverse will have passed since the defeat of the Underdeep persona? x3 This might also be handy to know in case the pirates have their RP at around the same timeframe.

Probably three months or so, just enough time for the dust to settle.

Hm, during that time Gil might be one of the few people from Brassport who has been going in and out of the city XD Even if most of them might have been sneaking out >.>

Duly noted and added, Sae. ^^ If you wish, you can sign on as an apprentice or just stay an ordinary mage.
Also, everyone, I have recieved an offer from Fraze concerning an alliance between the Mages and Spacefleet. I personally approve of this as in-universe, it would not only provide us with a wider range of knowledge but also give us groundwork for spying on them, as we're both still suspicious of each other (they'll be doing it to us too. xD).
So, what are the opinions? In favour? Opposed? Abstaining? Not allowed to abstain.
EDIT: And I forgot to mention but I highly encourage everyone to post in Guild Diaries. It would give us some world-building and give our characters something to do. =3 Preferrably make it related to the Mages.

Trying to get back into this again. It's hard to do Guilds and all your schoolwork, but I'm trying again.
Anyway, but on the offer... We waged war on them in the last Guild War, and to my knowledge, that hasn't been resolved. Both of us know this, and would probably full well know of the spying. And for some members... It may still be a very bitter thing to even consider. After all, some mages were in that room during that... "malfunction"... that we don't know for sure was not in the interests of Spacefleet.
Unless we want a Mage civil war...

((I feel like RPing this, xD))
Sarn put his hand lightly on the table, feeling as though this gesture from him should have been enough to put the room into silence. It didn't, and this annoyed his ego. He cleared his throat instead, and the faces of the gathered mages turned toward him. That's more like it, he thought with some satisfaction.
The most important mages had been gathered by their Archmage to "discuss a matter of great import". Sarn adored Celestial and greatly admired the way she had so easily settled into her new role after his own battle with the great monster, Inactivian, but that didn't sto him from disagreeing This new proposition, this alliance, went too far, he thought.
"With respect, Archmage, I must say that this whole thing doesn't sit well with me. There has been much tension with Spacefleet and I, for one, doubt the seriousness of their offer. They know we could wipe them from this universe in an instant if we so desired, which makes the scared little rabbits hiding in their burrows. When was the last time anyone from Spacefleet actually spoke with us face-to-face? Did they send you a beeping message directly into your brain this time?"
He paused here for dramatic effect. The intention was somewhat lost on the crowd.
"We have already consented to a full alliance with Dunburrow. Are we now to stoop so low as to be like mere court jesters and magicians with their rabbits and hats and sily capes?"
((So, in short, Sarn isn't happy. Technology is such a mystery to him and he's not all that fond of it so I have to defer to him. xDDD Not only that, but MM has extended itself to three guilds now, which puts us in an unusually strong position ... a position that perhaps other guilds might view as threatening and ... war? Plz? @_@))

I'm frankly not surprised that there is disagreement. We've had rather...interesting relations with Spacefleet. Some may still recall how I managed to trash a good bit of their HQ in Guild Wars II. xD However, I am a firm believer in keeping my enemies close. They have the power to wipe us off the face of the planet before we can even blink and it's not something you'd like to be on the wrong side of. As allies, we can keep track of them, influence their decisions and call upon them should we have any other threats. Plus it eliminates us from any list of potential targets they may have. We're gaining a powerful ally and a string with which to try and hold them. We can iron out the Guild War and get a little bit of them too. Don't ever assume that an alliance is one-sided and that we can't benefit to make ourselves stronger from it. Because that's just what I intend to do, with both Dunbarrow, Brassport and perhaps Spacefleet.
The other guilds may consider us too powerful but we're only helping them out and spreading our services across the planet. We're servants of magic and we must share that magic with everyone else. That's our duty and we're fulfiling it. ^^ They shouldn't have any qualms about that and if they do, we can discuss it in our basement or with one of our excellent fire mages.
As for who spoke with me, the leader himself proposed this in person (via MSN. xD) and has arranged to have a meeting with us at one of the swankiest of Tabloid Town's hotels. We can discuss it there.
If they aren't serious, we're mages. We probably could take them on in a fight. As for the "malfunction" as you call it, some of their people were there too. I have my doubts about Spacefleet being behind it.
