NSQ looked over in the next bed. "How's Puzz?" she asked weakly.

Sockmonk was beginning to bite her nails.
"It'll be okay." Madam Scromfree said.
Madam Scromfree looked at NSQ.
"Puzz is quite well." She replied. "And how are you?"

"Scrolldemort's here," Ice said in reply to Ginz's questions.
How could he have gotten in here anyway?" Ice wondered aloud flicking her wand to and fro "I thought the school was, like, uber-protected or something..." She sighed and looked over at the occupied beds "what a great day, I miss the train, I get extra homework, my Weewoo had dissapeared and now we're all gonna die."

"We're not going to die." Madam Scromfree said. "I know he's in the castle. I alerted Tracydore and she should either take care of the matter or come down here to protect us."
"Good." Sockmonk said, letting out a sigh of relief.

Eri looked coldly at Madame Scromfree, and then at the floor.
"How do you know we're not going to die?" she asked; bitter. "My brother didn't know he was going to die...did he? Sure, maybe he thought he'd get beaten up, but do you really think he thought he would die in Scrolldemort's wrath? I know I didn't.
"Scrolldemort's so unpredictable. You think you're off the hook with him, but then you realize you're not...often when it's too late to change anything. When everything's over. When you want a rewind button, but there is none..." she trailed off and stared at the floor.

Tracydore came in.
"He is indeed in the castle." Tracydore said. "I caught him on the way here and battled him...He disappeared right away."
"Tracydore's here now. We'll all be safe." Madam Scromfree said.
"Finally." Sockmonk said, a bit mad.

"You're not the only one who knows, Eri," Ice muttered, flicking her wand, causing a purple feather to float upwards. "And good, it's a good thing that the Headmaster chased him off, looks like our deaths will be held off for another day."

Puzz wished that she could say that she would live, however, she was not sure if she would. She felt like she was already half-dead.

Eri reached out to touch Ice's arm. "Yes," she said, gazing into Ice's eyes. "I knew you knew too."
She reached over to hold Puzz's hand. "Madame Scomfree, do you have any idea what's happened to her?" she bit her lip to keep tears back.

"Everything will be okay, now that Tracydore's here." Madam Scromfree replied, to NSQ's question.
Madam Scromfree turned and looked at Eri.
"I don't know." She replied.
Sockmonk sighed.
"I hope she'll be alright." She said.
