I'm making this RP in the hope that it will last at least a week before it dies.
In hope to keep it form death, though, I'm going to give you a bit of a plot.
Kay, there's a war going on now, bottom line. The old king died, leaving no clear heir to the throne. So now his two sons have both gathered armies to fight each other until one of them admits defeat. As if this wasn't enough, there's also a third group of revolutionary-people who hate both the sons and want somebody totally new on the throne.
Ok, random new character.
Name: Neik <neek>
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Species: Human/Gryphon Shapeshifter, Half Tijanese (The Tijan is my made up race of D00M, and you can learn all about them at www.neopets.com/~xxx_ShadowFire_xxx. But if you're too lazy to read all that, I don't blame you one bit.)
Magic: Shapeshifting from human to gryphon, and a bit of random elemental magic that comes from her Tijanese side.
Physical Desc. (Human): Despite her Tijanese heritage, Neik is not tall. (Her name happens to mean "small" in Tijanese.) She's short (about 5'2) and stocky, but very strong. She does, however, have the clawed fingers and toes characteristic of the Tijan, and wings as well. Her wings are nearly as large as she is, and they are black, with barely visible streaks of other colors.
She has darkly tanned skin, none of her elemental magics showing up on her skin as with the pure Tijan. Her hair is thick, straight, comes a little past her shoulder blades, and is as dark as ebony, though when seen in the light it seems to have many different colors dancing through it. Her eyes are the same.
She wears the same clothes as the Tijan - a sleeveless, easy-to-move-in shirt, and pants that come to slightly above her ankles.
Physical Desc. (Gryphon): When in gryphon form, Neik's fur is the same color as her hair is in human form. Her eyes don't change. Her beak and feet are a light buff color. She's still small for her species, being only about six feet at the shoulder.
Personality: No nonsense. Not unfriendly, but not exactly sociable. She doesn't show feelings easily, and has the bad habit of forming opinions of people the second that she meets them. She DOES NOT like idiots.
Weapons: Like all Tijan-born, she's been trained in martial arts from a very early age. She also chose a certain type of Tijanese staff, called a nikata, as her main weapon - it's basically a big stick with a sharp blade at both ends. It's bigger than she is but she really knows how to use it.
Bio: Neik has a Tijanese mother. She never knew her father... he was someone in the royal guard who, after marrying her mother, was promptly killed for loving a Tijan. So, of course, she was raised by her mother, as a Tijan. She was made fun of just a tad when she was little, because she really WAS little, even by human standards. So she had to make up for her smallness by being a jerk sometimes. Other than that, there's no huge tradgedies in her past - she just got old enough to go out on her own. She's part of group three, by the way... the revolutionaries.

Neik yawned slightly, stretched, and promptly fell out of the tree she'd forgot she was sleeping in.
Cursing in Tijanese, she got up, brushed herself off, and was nearly killed when her nikata came crashing down from where she had left it the past night.
Picking it up and thanking God that it hadn't hit her, she decided now that she was plenty awake.
