It was true. She came here all the time, to think or just keep away from arguments or fist fights with boys who laughed at her short size. If he really does live here, I'll have to find a new place where I can think straight without being bothered.

Jade frowned and looked at the ground. "This whole gem story's starting to annoy me." she muttered. Absent-mindedly, she put her right hand over her gem.
Really starting to annoy me. As soon as I get my gem 'settled' I'll make them all promise to leave me alone. Seems kinda weird, but that's probably going to keep them away. At least, I hope.

Brandon spared a glance when she remarked about the gem "story".
"Hm? Do you know something about the gems I don't?"
He said this as if such a thing was highly unlikely,

"Well, it's a bit... hard to explain." replied Jade. She'd seen many things happen in the last hour, all related to the gems. She just didn't know why and how they'd happened.

Tanaei sighed. "Up until a few minutes ago, oblivious me had no idea I had a gem embedded in my forehead..."
Suddenly, she took off at a run, lept into the air, and soared upward to fly in slow circles. She didn't think she should leave yet, but she could use some thinking space.
