Gem Sword

Okay, incase any of you remember...

I had an RP and was turning this into comic form a long time ago. Now, I'm restarting it with a slightly different plot, and in writing form.

So, I need your ideas all over again. And, all of the names have changed of the main characters, except Jan's.

For those who weren't here for Gem Sword...

I'll put it short.

All elements, all animals, and all everything were kept peaceful and safe by a single magical sword a long, long time ago, which was protected by a powerful Godly King. King Gem. An evil powerful spirit, however, named Haroo, was able to overthrow him, though the sword vanished, and all of the element shot off into random places in little gem form.

The gems holding elements--they become one with the person that touches it first. The small gems sit in their forehead, while the person gains powers over that element, and, even gains some appearance of that element. (ex: Togo, a character which has the power of Dog, that dog ears and a dog tail)

Jan is just a regular 14 year old kid. One day, him and his friend (who both study martial arts) scratch the tree. A giant light covers the whole city, and, when it disappears, reveals the Gem Sword to Jan.

Soon, Jan and Lynn notice that the whole population of the city, Matsqui, except them, disappeared with the light. Out of nowhere, Jan's descendant appears and tells him a long story. (he doesn't know it yet, but, his descendant is the Gem King)
He must go out and contain all of the powers, before Haroo does. If he doesn't, the world will be in chaos.

The gems on the Gemmy's (that's what they're called) forehead can be 4 colours:

Black: Haroo has tooken control of them, and they now do his bidding, and the likeliness of them ever turning back are little.

Red: Nothing has happened to this person with a gem, they've just had it. But the gem slightly corrupts them, and they tend to go on random rampage just destroying everything for no reason because they can not contain them.

Green: They have haven't had their power settled, yet they haven't been corrupted.

Blue: Jan has settled there power, and they no longer are corrupted and are peaceful. This also mean Jan can use the power through the sword.

White: They are chosen to help King Gem. They have even more powerful powers, and, they try to contain those who are on rampage, and fight for good. Their powers don't need to be tooken by Jan.

You can pick practically any element, but no god-moding. Also, I believe some people on this board already had water, plant, earth, and fire. I'm not sure though... But, remember, any item, any element, any animal you have to choose from.

Remember, this RP won't be the story, it will be IDEAS for the story. Not everything will be used from here, and, it's written in different form. Trust me, it's always fun to RP this, though. There was two RP's on this a long time ago.

EDIT: Can't be dog of cat, either. Those are already characters.

Gender: Guy

Age: 14

Appearance: Brown hair, green eyes, green and yellow marked kimono-like martial arts outfit, and black shoes.

Powers: Martial Arts, and, he wields the Gem Sword, which, at the time being of this, has contained the power of Tree. Also has a leather book he keeps that helps him use the powers.

Personality: A bit silent, very determined. Quite intelligent. If you'd think of him, he looks practically exactly like Lee from Card Captors


Name: Lynn

Gender: Girl

Age: 14

Appearance: Long black hair in a braded ponytail, big blue eyes. She wears a white sleeveless kimono-like martial arts outfit.

Powers: All she can do is martial arts, but in some strange cases, she can sense the presense of a Gem or Jan

Personality: Incredibly kind, halpful, caring.

"But, Jan!" whined Lynn, "We can't go in! There's no one out there except that little village..." Jan was pulling her towards the opening of King Forest.

"Lynn, look back," said Jan, "It doesn't make any difference. Nobody at Matsqui, nobody in the forest. If we want them all back, let's get those monsters."

"Ever realise those monsters are regular people, just with special powers and are SLIGHTLY corrupted?"

They were now on the wide dirt path of the forest, when Jan saw the sillhouette of someon up ahead.
"Shhh!" he said to Lynn, pulling her down behind a bush, "The Gem King said that there would be many Gemmies in this forest. I bet that's one up ahead."

((Oh yeah, I remember. ^^ I'll just make a few changes to Jade, though...well, maybe not a few; a LOT. And her sister(I forget her name) doesn't exist anymore.

Name: Jade.

Element: Water

Gem color: Uh...isn't there one like red, but they choose to be good? I think it was green...

Gender: Girl

Age: 12

Appearance: Quite short for her age(not taller than 4'), pale skin with a slight blue-ish tint to it, aqua-colored eyes, chestnut-colored hair that's cut to her earlobes, a sleeveless black shirt and a beige wool vest with black cotton pants. Wears no shoes or sandals.

Powers and abilities: She has some hidden powers, but has no idea how to control them, which can become quite hard for her sometimes. She can defend herself pretty well with her fists, and she's in excellent physical condition.

Personality: On the anti-social side, she tends to be really pessimistic. It's hard to gain her trust, and even harder to become someone whom she considers her friend.

See? Told ya I'd change her a lot... I think all I kept was her name and element...))

Staring at the ground, Jade walked along the forest path. Yep, that's it, you're lost. You've done it again, Jade. she thought.

"Shut up. I know where I'm going." she told herself sternly, refusing to admit that she was lost. She didn't care if she was, anyway. If it was just for her, she,d stay there all the time. It was the only place she could be alone, with no one to argue with...except sometimes herself, like right now. But her mother would probably worry herself sick, and she'd get punished for that.

She stopped, for she had heard voices. "Who's there?!" she asked, fists clenched.

"Haha," laughed Jan, "This one will be a cinch. I've already got the power of tree, so..."

"Jan, she might be good."

"Doesn't matter," he said, "She'll have to be settled."

"Not is she's---"

"SHH! Quiet."

Jan jumped out, and pointed his sword out.

"Um, let's see... Oh, right!

Gem Sword, I call upon the power of tree!"

That instant, many thicks roots appeared from out of the ground and started moving towards Jade.

Jade took a step back, feeling her heart thump in her chest. "What the heck are you doing?!" she demanded, taking another step back and glaring at the boy wielding the sword. She had never seen such thing happen before. This isn't possible. Roots don't just sprout from the ground at such a speed. This can't be happening. It must be a dream or something...probably a nightmare. In a minute, I'll wake up, my mom scolding at me for oversleeping...Yeah...that's right... she thought, trying to reassure herself, but it wasn't helping.

The roots closed in on her, making it hard to escape. Jan starts running as fast as he can towards her, his sword pulling towards her gem.

Out no where, something leaps out of the bushes, and tackles him to the ground...

You'll remember these two... Only a bit diffeent, including names. But, the dog one represents me.

Element: Dog

Gem color: Red

Gender: Guy

Age: 13

Gem: Dog

Appearance: Regular hight. He has blond hair, and green eyes. He wears a white, baggy t-shirt, white gloves, and white pants. He has white husky ears, and a white husky tail.

Powers and abilities: Basically wields a dagger, fast at running, high jumper, can shoot beams, and generate a temporary shield.

Personality: Incredibly enthusiastic, and quite determined. He goes on rages, and never likes anyone the instant he meets them.


Name: Naomi

Element: Cat

Gem color: Red

Gender: Girl

Age: 13

Appearance: Wears the same thing as Togo, except hers is black. She has black cat ears and black tail. Violet eyes, and shoulder-length brown hair

Powers and abilities: Same as Togo's, except for generating a shield she has a poisonous scratch.

Personality: Same as Togo

"GET OFF ME!" shouted Jan. Togo leaped back for a second, but jumped right back to trying to attack him.
The instant Jan saw the gem on Togo's forhead, he lost focus and the roots disappeared from beside Jade.

"Why, I oughtta get you right a way!" shouted Jan. He jumped straight at Togo with his sword.

Well, at least he's not attacking me anymore... Jade thought, observing the combat between Togo and Jan. For now. she noted. I better get away before that maniac finds some way to get me. she muttered something under her breath, wishing she could thank the boy with the dog ears, but started walking away. That walk quickly changed to a run, when she remembered what the boy with the sword had done to trap her.

Jan's sword clicked against thing air in front of Togo. It wouldn't go any farther.

"Invisible shield," said Togo, "Forget it."

"Y-You talk?"

"Why wouldn't we?" Togo turned around to cat-like sister that had just walked out of the bushes. "C'mon, she left. Let's go." Naomi was about to bolt, when she saw Jan jumping for Togo behind his back. She jumped at Jan, scratched his arm, and watched him hollar.


Later...

Jan came to vision again. In front of him appeared a blur--it made itself out to be Lynn. She smiled soft-heartedly.
"Oh, good, you're awake..." Then, out of nowhere, she held her hand up high, then slapped him.
"Could you get any stupider?!"

"W-What happened?" he moaned, rising up to a sitting position.

"Oh," said Lynn, "That cat-girl was defending her friend, and poisoned you..." She was quiet for a moment, then started speaking again. "I can't believe you did that! You just rushed straight at her! You didn't even look at her gem!"

"Lynn," said Jan, "It's supposed to be my responsibility to capture there powers. I may have rushed, but--"

"Yeah! But she might've been willing to just let you do it, without a struggle! Now she's probably scared, and will never go near you."

"Fine," he said, getting to his feet again, feeling better, "I guess you're right. But we still have to get them. I promise, I'll do it right. Now, where is the girl? She'll be easier..."

"I sense her over there..."


Later, Jan found her. He came up behind her.

"Excuse me..." he said, tapping on her shoulder...

Jade turned around with a gasp. She glared at Jan. "Don't take one step closer." she muttered, taking a few steps back. She said nothing else, seemingly frozen in place, glaring at him.

"Don't worry," he said, "All I need to do, is--" he paused for a moment, as the sword started glowing again and going pulling towards her gem. "Is..."

Once again, in a flash, Togo and Naomi appeared out of nowhere. Jan looked at them calmly.

"Don't worry," said Jan, "I'm not going to hurt her."

"Don't care." Togo leaped at him, hand held out ready to slash him.

"JAN!" Lynn shouted, "He's after the sword!:

"You actually expect me to believe that, even after what you did an hour ago? I may be small, but I'm not stupid." she muttered, taking another step back. She was a bit surprised at herself; that had to be the longest phrase she had ever said to a stranger. She watched as the dog-boy leaped at the other guy, and this time decided to stay, even though it was unsafe.

Togo growled like a wolf would. He jumped back, pulled his dagger, and tried to slash Jan. Jan swung his fist at Togo, sending him to the ground in the distance. But, in doing so, he lost grip of the Gem Sword; it had gone flying high up in the air.

"I'll catch it!" shouted Lynn. She ran down the path, and it landed perfectly in her hand. "Alright!"

"No!" shouted Jan, "It's not safe!" That second, Lynn froze in her tracks, and glowed of a bright light. When the light faded, Lynn was a statue, made of pure gem.

Jan and Togo stopped fighting, and everyone stared and shock. Jan slowly, in shock, stepped forward to the statue of Lynn.
"Lynn..."

Jan just stood, looking in shock. The Gem Sword fell to the ground, but it hadn't been changed a bit.

"Well, Togi," said Naomi, "We won't be wanting it now."

"Fine, I'll just destroy it, then." As he got off the ground, and leaped again, he instantly was pulled to the ground by a strange force. "W... What's happening?"

Jan's eyes were glowing.

"Please... Help me..."

Jade stared at the scene, confused. So first he makes some roots sprout out from the ground, and now that girl just got changed into a statue and his eyes are glowing. she moaned. Why is it that I can't wake up? This is definitely too weird for me... she scratched the back of her hand nervously, biting her lower lip with her teeth until it started bleeding. Come on, wake up you stupid little brat... she thought impatiently.

((*blinks* Can I play? XD I haven't been here before, so I don't have a character...
Am I right in thinking that we can choose pretty much ANY sort of element for our character except the ones that are already in use?))

"Help you how?" moaned Togo, "How am I supposed to help you?" Togo felt the gravity was becoming stronger and Jan's voice was changing.

"You know how."

Togo's gem started glowing, but he had no clue why. All a sudden, Lynn's statue started glowing, too. The two gems connected in a bridge of light, and there was a big flash.

All was clear again, except, now, Lynn was back, hugging Jan, and, Togo was lying, unconscious, on the ground.

"Thank you, Jan... But that wasn't you, was it?" Jan shook his head.
"I don't know who it was. But, I know he took the gem power away from you and transferred it to the dog gemmy... It might corrupt him some more, but as soon as I settle him, it won't seeing he's..."

"For... get it." Togo was standing up, but, he now and a more evil look in his eye, and, two fangs, to prove what had happened.
