RCPMafia Wars, chapter 1, 2, and 3 (the treasure hunt we're planning would be similar to the third chapter) Meepit RacesGuild Advert (though guild-related banners would be good to have. =3) As for what to do next... don't know what more to add. Treasure hunt soonish, RP laterish, maybe revive a few small events, or something like that.

A little bit of pirate fanart here. :3 I decided to try and build the White Weewoo in Spore: There's only so many things I can do with the building pieces that are given to me (along with the complexity meter, shown at the top-right), but I think I got the most important details down. That, and I really do need a 3D model for FableQuest. xD

...I thought I replied to this long time ago o.o *agrees with Strife and his 3Dness being all sorts of awesome* >> << *marches around the ship a bit, banging pots and pans together* Alright, gentlemen, I'd just like to direct your attentions to the fact that we're still alive and sailing, and this time we'll be sailing outside the guildboard territory a bit, namely to this thread. It's still just beginning, but once we get the related events going, it'll give us stuff to do for a change and possibly a chance to recruit new members as well, so keep your eyes open. Al-so, anyone who's opposed to me (ab)using them in the accompanying comic there, do speak up now >> It's usually easier for me to ask who doesn't want a cameo rather than who does.

And so the evil ninja witch suddenly popped up aboard the majestic pirate ship and cast her horrible spell on its entire crew so that it fell into a deep dark slumber for a month and a half, a curse only to be broken by the kiss of a handsome prince, except the wicked witch wasn't really all that good at wording her curses so eventually the curse broke when the blarf, curious about the unusual silence aboard the ship, drifted closer to it and poked at it with his nose. Thanks, boy, what the frek were you up to for the entire preceding month?
...yeah, I'm ill at the moment. Illnesses do funny things to my brain. *sneezes in everyone's general direkshun* Okay, so. What're we at now? Everyone busy with work and school and other assorted bits of life? Anyone who's still vaguely capable of dedicating some time from their busy days into writing yet another one of our infamous collaborative stories that we still call roleplays although they tend to be so much more? The abovequoted comicplot is effectively dead, GW3 has been over and forgotten for months and our guild needs more life.
So, new pirate roleplay? Who'd be up for it ASAP?

I do know that Robyn's been pulled away from the forum because of overprotective parents, so she sadly won't be around anymore. =/
I'm still hovering around as usual, but I'm not a pirate, so I guess I don't really count. xD; I've always been here in any case.

Anyone who ties our ropes so that they come undone at a poke is in for a whacking, thassforsure.
Well, depending on how many of my homies I manage to rope into this - Zylaa's internet is unreliable, for instance, Rider is rather busy these days, haven't heard from Speck in ages, etcetera - I do think that it'd benefit from being a free-for-all kind of roleplay, or rather, an official pirate roleplay with cameo appearances by whoever wants to make an appearance. Since the idea for a basic plot is still the same - going on a quest for Zagora - it could easily make for encounters with other guilders. Episode 1, Pirates sniff around in ninja territory and get in a conflict; Episode 2, Pirates sniff around in knight territory and get in a conflict, and so forth. Might make for a nice story. I've grown a bit wary of one-guild-only roleplays after the GWs and Redemption because it's clear that multi-guild RPs offer more interaction and potential for conflicts as opposed to just puppeteering NPCs to get a fight going.
Thoughts? Feedback from my dear crew? >>

=D With the massive authority of a Knight-for-all-of-two-roleplay-pages, I support this idea! Though that little roleplay seems to have petered out as well. >.>; *pokes it* But having multiple guilds involved makes for much more liveliness and conflict and fun, certainly.
... Er. Yes. *flees*

I'll speak for the Mages here and say I approve of this idea as well. It would certainly be interesting to see how this would work out and we could have lots of fun but it doesn't sound like something which would be too serious.
And I'm curious to see if a roleplay can actually work in an episodic format instead of one big story. ^^

The problem with an episodic roleplay is that roleplay activity tends to move on a constantly descending scale, not as episodes. As in, if the first episode involves the Knights, all the currently active and interested ninjas and mages and whatnot would either hover nearby doing nothing or posting irrelevant things in other locations. And then half of them will probably lose interest by the time it's their turn in the story. And with this few people still left in the guilds, every man - and woman - counts.
Actually I could easily see this as a game played on two sides. Lessay the pirates are given the mission to find some sort of magical thingybopper Zagora needs to call things even. The other guilds catch wind of it and decide to butt in, either to get the magical thingybopper for their own purposes (the mages, for instance?) or to catch the pirates and bring them to justice, or for whichever third reason. That way all non-pirates in the game could either band into groups or work solo or both, the action can move from one guild's territory to another, thus creating the episodes, and even if y'guys drop out after a while, the story can still get finished if the pirates stay in till the end to find the thingybopper.
...no, this will totally not be called Guild Wars IV, whatever gave you that idea? >__>

...no, this will totally not be called Guild Wars IV, whatever gave you that idea? >__> In the Guild Wars RP's, everyone was actively seeking to start conflict, and in this proposed RP of yours, our goal would not be to incite war, but to moreorless have some sort of adventure. :3 Therefore, I definitely would not consider it GW4.

I see where this is going. It would kind of be a race/contest for the ultimate prize. Get to point A to point B before the others. Join forces, sabotage, or whatever is needed. Every guild or rouge guild member (it's possible XD) all doing it for their own reason. I like the sounds of it XD I also need some excuse to drag Draco out of his room and get some fresh air (been locked up since end of GWIII).
